I had to rent a truck and an Auto transport. I'm not experienced at loading a vehicle on the transport so I believe a little instruction at time of rental would have been helpful and saved me some time. For instance I didn't realized you unlatch the front tire harness all the way out of the ratchet and lay it flat on the trailer to drive the front wheels over it. Then I wasn't sure how to rethread the harness back on the ratchet. I figured it out and there are directions on the trailer but they were a little hard to understand and the pictures not that clear. If someone would have showed me then the directions would have made more sense. Also someone should tell us and show us how to lower the fender. It made sense when I figured it out and again there were directions on the fender but took a while to get it. I'm not saying the trailer wasn't clearly marked with the directions but it's easier to see it done Visually than to read the directions and figure it out. If I had seen it done visually then the directions would have been a good reference and made more sense. We were having a rainy day that day but fortunately I caught a break in the rain when I picked up the truck I was towing and was able to figure it out. If it had been raining at that time it would have been a mess trying to figure it all out. Instead it was just time consuming. I had to reload the truck when I figured out the front wheel harness wouldn't fit around the tire unless it was totally removed from the ratchet. To repeat all the employees were very helpful in getting the rental set up from reservations to counter person to technician hooking up the trailer and to the truck. Just a little more time in the semantics would've have been greatly appreciated. Overall experience was good. By the way I did print off the material on Auto Transport User Information. It helped but again some people or most people are Visual. The directions would have made more sense if seen it visually. Also I think you should require a renter to print off the instructions or have flyer printed to had to the renter at time of rental and have the technician that is hooking up the trailer to go over it them with them at time of rental. Just some thoughts from renter. Thanks

Original rental was a 10' in N Dallas, which was near our hotel location. Both location and truck size were changed without contacting me and neither would work. After multiple phone calls, during morning of the move, with local, regional and AME locations, we were finally able to get the right size truck and a more convenient location. This was a very disappointing experience. We did get a 10% discount for our trouble, and the CS rep was very polite and understanding. However, I'm seriously considering using another truck rental company for our next move.

Be honest about the amount of gas in the tank. I brought it back at 3/4. It was closer to 1/2 tank when I picked it up. I noticed that down the road and did not go back and address it I probably should have because I got no where when I brought it up on return.

This was, by far, the easiest experience I've ever had renting a truck - even a uhaul. I'll definitely be using this location again in the future.

Have the 20 foot trucks available for city rental...it cost us more per mile with the small truck....maybe that is UHauls's objective in not renting the 20 foot truck in town? Make the renter make multiple trips and run the mileage up?$$$$

With our 6 cylinder F510 eco boost you could hardly tell we were pulling anything except for a few miles less per gallon. But we were expecting that.
