I was informed two things which prevented me from actually picking up my reservation which customer service informed me was not their policy. The first thing was they tried charging my card $80 rather than the agreed upon amount, at first. The second thing was they insisted on requiring me to accept, at first, a mileage of 25, rather than the 10 I know I will not be eben driving. I estimate it should be 6, but no more than 10. I would like the $50 that the website says I get because of guaranteed reservation, the reservation I was denied at the location, after walking about 3 miles, and while it was raining. I had the exact amount, plus some, on my debit/credit card at the time of pickup, but she insisted on charging my card $80, a policy she says, but customer sevice says is only if paying cash, and its actually $100 if paying cash. Thanks!

Lower the price for a 5x9 trailer. I'm about to just purchase one so I do not have to use uhaul again for this specific need again. I use this company all the time, but for hauling a motorcycle.....I'll go elsewhere

The truck was in VERY used condition and ran poorly. We worried all the time about the ability to start it after shutting it off. I have rented many times, this truck needs retired or quite a bit of maintenance.

Make sure that uhauls trucks have all vacuum lines hooked up and are running good before renting them out. My husband had to work on the uhaul because it didn't want to stay running come to find out a vacuum line was un hooked.

My problem here is with the "general manager" Deb. I rented a 26 foot uhaul on Friday night so I can have it early Saturday. Everything was fine Friday night, but I only drove the uhaul about 6 miles. I woke up Saturday morning ready for my big move and the brake lights inside the uhaul wouldn't go off. Since I live about 3 miles away from the business, I decided to stop by there for them to take a look at it. I was met by Richard (I believe that is his name). He was great! I told him the problem and he immediately inspected it. After he verified the brake lights wouldn't go off, he voiced the concern to Deb. Deb hopped in the uhaul saw that the lights were on then said that there is nothing wrong and for me to continue on my trip. Huh? Deb wants ME to drive a 26 foot uhaul that has its lights on indicatING that something is wrong with the brake system. she then tells me that if I experience a problem for me to call the roadside assistance. That is so irresponsible and dangerous. What if I followed her instructions and just drove the uhaul with the brake lights on and the brakes went out at a time when I needed them most? What if I was driving that 26 foot uhaul and the brakes malfunctioned and I rear ended a small compact car with a child in the back seat? Fortunately, I'm responsible. I demanded a swap. I can't believe that uhaul has a general manager that is THAT careless and irresponsible to try and talk a customer into driving a huge truck with faulty brakes.

Do not send them to Lolas mailbox and Uhaul location first! I reserved on line and was called just before 6pm, and told to pick up truck at 911 Menlo. Since I selected State Street location I asked if I could pick up there and was told no. Told them I would pick up between9 and 10am. Arrived around 9:30, and they were closed. Called uhaul, and was told someone would be there. Got coffee went back. First of all, the store reeked of funk. My companion had to leave becuz of it. This place is a sleezy boutique. The woman at counter told me I had a 10am appt. And I would have to wait for her system to boot. After giving info, she told me I do not have your dollie. At this point I asked if I could go to State street, and she asked if that was what I wanted to do. Told her yes becuz by this time I was certain I was going to smell like that store. State street is run efficiently and professionally. I will, also be contacting the Post Office becuz this does not look like a legit mailbox service. They only have ablock of 30 boxes. Ad ised State street that they should notify corporate to take their contract away.

Better service inside at the desk. The lady that works there is rude and we arrived we were left standing inside by ourselves for about ten mins. With no acknowledgement of our existence.

Make sure the radiator has fluid. When calling for road side assistance don't tell the person on hold they should go on line to get service. Lucky for me I had extra water to put into the radiator.

I rented a 20' truck to move my aunts belongings after she passed away from cancer. I was going one way and was charged for 2 days and only needed the truck for 1 day. As I was moving the belongings into storage and only having the truck for only 24 hrs I got 4 calls from call center asking if I was going to return the truck on time due to another person needed to rent that truck. After talking to 2 people and 2 missed calls I informed them that yes i was going to return truck on time. I actually returned the truck 20 hrs early due to feeling hurassed by u haul about the truck.
