Let customers know that they need to provide their own padlocks for the trucks. I had to drive around frantically trying to find one that would fit!

This was a really positive experience. Much better than I had at a different location.

The desk agent could have spoken a little more slowly to explain things to me. I asked him to repeat the waiver explanation, which he did and seemingly faster that the 1st time. OK, maybe he was feeling rushed given the line of customers ready to throw money at him. He pointed out the fuel level on the contract and asked that I compare it with the level in the truck. Both seemed pretty close to each other and given they draw a line with a pen on the pretend, linear and flat gas gauge on the contract, it differs in reality to the circular gauge in the truck! He said, "better to bring it back with more than just enough" which seemed odd to me at the time, (more on that later) Pickup truck exterior looked clean, interior could have used a wipe-down with a damp cloth. However, after renting and taking the truck into my possession and getting to my destination, I found a bunch of tree acorns or something of the like in the bed of the pickup truck. They were little, slimy, nut-looking things. I had to remove them so my goods wouldn't get stained and because the shop personnel were "those kind of guys" who would absolutely try to tack on a cleaning fee for not sweeping the bed of the truck. I know this based on how they treated 2 customers before me in line who were returning another truck and didn't broom-out the inside floor of a panel truck. Had I seen those slimy and gross tree nuts before, I would have made your employees sweep it out. The truck, a newer Ford F150, was perfect in mechanical condition and function. I drove exactly 15 miles, start-to-finish, on side streets during my rental. I refueled with 2 gallons of gas and drove back to the rental facility. Even at the worst possible gas-mileage of 7 mpg (which no modern pickup gets, and this newer Ford F150 rental gets a stated 15mpg/city) I would have never used more than 1 gallon, let alone the two I kindly replaced. The desk agent tried to charge me a fuel penalty. When I challenged him, he walked away (didn't quite explain where to or why) and then came back literally 3 minutes later saying "yeah it's right", I asked "what was right" and with an attitude said "the level ain't the same". Not only was his grammar poor but so were his customer service skills. I told him I added 2 gallons of fuel and presented a receipt, trying to make a pretty solid point that I refueled. He wouldn't budge and said I'd have to take the truck and go get more gas. Finally I had him confirm I only drove 15 miles and his desk-mate coworker said "just let him go, it's okay. SO, either this is a standard and customary procedure for your employees to badger customers and wring out another $15 worth of penalties OR this guy just had horrible customer service. Hard to tell. Also, FYI, I rent cars from Hertz and National, literally every 2 or 3 weeks for my job in many different states and I've never had this kind of really poor experience. Makes me never want to see or rent anything from uHaul. Ever. Sorry, that's jus

The clerk who explain the terms of the rental just recited the info as if it were a memorized speech with no real concern that the customer understood the info.

I changed locations from the original choice online. I thought that the order was complete, but received a call a couple of hours later that the size trailer I ordered online was not available at the location. So, they changed me to another location, but did not tell me it would cost more. I didn't know it would cost more until i picked the trailer up at the new location.

I was given a trailer that was missing the rubber part that held the s-hook in place. The trailer was not hooked up properly and during the five minute drive to my loading location, the chain came disconnected. This was a one-way rental in which I was driving 4 hours. I am so glad that I was conscientious, because the employee at this location certainly was not.

This was not the original location, they were very great in accommodating me. The original site never opened by 11:00 am and after two trips to the site I changed locations. This was really ridiculous.

I would suggest you fill the gas tank before releasing to a customer. Your policy of not providing a credit for extra fuel in a tank upon return is poor. That somewhat discourages me from using you again.

Stop using national call center for phone calls from customers. Customers want to talk with the employees ON SITE for many important reasons. This means that U-haul local centers will need to hire more employees to handle their business.

Your staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was the lack of communication regarding which truck was mine. Nobody said this is your truck. They pulled up jumped out and walked away.

Great staff and customer service. My friend was caught up in traffic and I couldn't rent the trailer I had reserved but the associate quickly got me into a new cargo van instead. Thanks again!

I made a reservation for a 10' box van; when I arrived to pick it up at 7am, I was told I had to have it back by 1 pm because someone else had rented it for 1 pm, even though, when I made the reservation, I told them it was for the day and I had a 300 mile round trip to move my son. The female clerk was pleasant, but the young man who told me I had to have it back offered no explanation and said if I couldn't get it back in time I couldn't take it. I was forced to rent a larger truck, which I did not need, and which consumed fuel. The truck was dirty, worse than a cheap carnival ride, and ran rough. And the young man insisted on charging me more for it because it was a larger truck. What an attitude. What good is a reservation? By the way, there were several other 10 foot trucks there. Other customers in line suggested I just take the truck and bring it back when I could. I asked the young man what would happen if I didn't get back in time, and he had no answer. Another customer in line told me the same thing happened to him. Bait and switch? I don't know. I got things moved. But it was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've lived here for 30 years and used this facility before many times, but this is the last. Thanks for listening. I guess Uhaul's monopoly makes for crappy service.

When I called the lady on the phone said they had what I wanted which was a 6 12 open trailer 3 min later when I got there they had no open trailers and said that I talked to someone at a call center some where and they didn't know what they were talking about when they told me it was there. They said it happens all the time. This is a very frustrating thing and if it happens to other people all the time it would seem that you are making people frustrated and that is not good for business. I will not be utilizing trailers from uhaul any more just because of this experience. ..... the guy that I dealt with was a real jerk also he needs a lesson on how to talk to people in a respectfull way, I am not one of his homies that he can talk to like the way he did. If I didn't have any self control I would have said some not so nice things to that kid....

This facility is under new management since I my last visit. Today I moved my daughter and my BIGGEST worry was dealing with the truck rental based on my past experiences with this facility (before the management change). This experience was 1000% better. They were fantastic. Next time I go to rent there I know I won't have the same anxiety. Thank you very much!!!
