All people were in contact were great and the same for the drop off

John Martin was fabulous! He was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. On the other hand the men who were there Saturday evening seemed more interested in looking at a car than helping me. The black man was pretty good, but the other two were annoying in that they seemed to be trying to get rid of me so they could look at a nice car. It was not an image booster for UHaul. Also they failed to load my UBox on the trailer for pickup first thing the next morning, though that knew that was the plan. If John Martin had been there I am sure it would have been a more positive experience. John was really hustling on Sunday. He's a keeper. Not so sure about the 2 guys on Saturday evening.

Wait for drop off was reasonable given how busy it seemed, but longer than expected(~15 min). "Local truck" having zip tied dolly and blankets inside was inconvenient waste of space -- At least put those on the same side as the gas filler. We got the truck 2/3 full and then didn't have any more wall space left with a square bottom corner for the next big piece of furniture.

Main gentleman helping outside was very very grumpy for no reason. He shouldn't interact with customers. Others were very nice.

Good people, and good overall customer service... Corporate and local communication was mediocre .., and overall thought .80 cents a mile was pricey given the use. Thinking of moving cross country soon and think at that rate, wouldn't be the number one pick. But overall, good people and service ... So thanks to the local branch

Maybe need more people in the front desk

Kathy C. on 12/2/2014
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

The desk staff was great. The fellow on the lot was rude. I did not like parking offsite and having to walk there in the dark - but the main is is the truck reeked of cigarette smoke. So bad it sent me into an asthmatic attack. Inexcusable

Felt like the guys hookinhg up the trailer were curt and rude. Also its insulting how much your store charges for sub par moving equipment like rachetstraps.

ANNE H. on 12/1/2014

The store was a mess. Hard to walk in there with all the merchandise everywhere. Service was good and the location was perfect for pickup.

I went to 5720 Hollister Ave Goleta, CA U Haul it self: I will not be using u haul for a very long time. For the 2nd time you costed me money and time

Very fast drop off, nothing to improve here!

Diane S. on 11/23/2014

There was confusion about whether I was dropping off or picking up, so better communication between the personnel would help. I understand that they were remodeling, so wouldn't expect it to be this way after that is completed.

When renting a trailer, the sales rep will ask for your year and make of vehicle that you'll be using to tow. They tell you whether or not it will work and to bring your tow hitch. However, they don't mention bringing the electrical adapter needed for the lights to work, so remember to bring yours from home. We didn't realize we would need it and they don't rent the adapter, but of course they will sell you one and won't rent you the trailer without one.

The trailer I rented had a galvanized steel floor that was very slippery. A rubber mat or even a sheet of plywood on the floor would keep help keep furniture, motorcycles, etc. from sliding around and falling over. Thanks, Michael
