The truck we got had some issues. Nothing that prevented the move, but made driving it not fun. THe steering needed some adjustments and just seemed that it needed a good tune up. However, truck was clean and it got the job done. Matt

we used to be able to tell them at the corporate order number where a truck was available and they would confirm it and we could be there right away to get it. now they tell us they can't and we have to wait, and within an hour a regional person will call us and will let us know where we can get a truck. And they don't always call. I have to make phone calls or go to where the truck is and they have to look it up to see if it went thru. When we r down a truck, and time is critical, and everyone is stressed, it gets kind of frustrating.

implement a SAFE and SECURE system that maintains customer data so that i don't have to be treated like a new customer everytime I go to UHaul. I should have some sort of an account that allows me to check out quickly. Or even reserve my equipment online and pick it up all ready to go at any Uhaul location.

The truck I was given needs some major transmission and suspension work. I know they won't have the smoothest ride but this truck was ridiculous. The transmission was hit or miss. It would that forever to shift into high and if you really had to accelerate forget it. The rpms would go through the roof and it would never shift. The bright spot was the clerk that waited on me; he was outstanding. Very friendly and explained everything very clearly.

We rented two different trucks ....two days apart and the trucks were in great shape and the staff is friendly. Except for the fact that it was terribly hot and humid that day, our moving experience was fine!

The gentleman at the location in town was professional and courteous. On the other hand, when calling customer service and speaking to a representative at the national level, they were rude, not helpful, and lacking any type of customer service skills. I'm surprised that people can still have jobs after talking to customers in this manner.

The U-haul that was picked out for me to rent was awful. There were check lights that came on all over the place. It shook something awful. It wouldn't start several times. The inside of the truck smelled like it was burning oil. When I returned the u-haul and told the customer service guy about all my issues. He just didnt seen to care very much about the fact that the U-haul he rented me the day before was a death trap. When I told him about the warning light he said yea they can't figure out what is wrong with that sensor. Also when I talked to him about the U-haul not starting his response was well after they have sat for a while they have a tendancy to be difficult to get started. This U-haul had been driven from Council Bluffs to Glenwood and then from Glenwood to Mineola before it started having problems not starting. So its not like it had been sitting for days and wouldn't start. The employee I talked to didn't seen to care about my concerns or the issues I had with this truck I rented. I couldn't believe that he didn't even apology or offer any thing to make up for my awful experience. He just said to me well I'll let them know to look at it, your bill is ninety some dollars. Nothing else. I am highly disappointed with my service I received at this U-haul location. I have moved sereval times in the last year and always used U-haul. After this experience I will make sure to weigh my options before I automatically choose U-haul. Also I will never rent from this U-haul location again. I will be letting anyone I know that is moving about my experience with this location and to choose another location.

I found one of the employees kinda rude because one of the side mirrors glue came undone and a tiny mirror fell off. He than proceed to get an attitude once I said I paid the extra money for the extra insurance to cover small damage and than he waived his hand and said bye with an attitude. This was my first time not using a private friends truck but after that experience I rather pay a friend to help me move than rent a uhaul from the Council Bluffs Iowa Location.

The guy working there was mad that they were a regional office and "had" to accept my truck rental turn in. I kept getting denied from locations where I had pre-arranged to return the truck. Where else would I return it exactly...?? He was rather hostile about it, and acted very put-upon. Not especially fun :(

I put 9 miles on the pickup I rented and was charged 8 dollars for fuel. This has never happened to me before- and I rent between 2 and 4 vehicles from Uhaul per year. I hope Uhaul makes excellent use of my 8 dollars because it's the last money that they'll ever earn from me. We all have our policies. Uhaul is making a mistake to forget that only theirs matter. And it's my policy to never do business with a thief. Uhaul stole from me yesterday. Without apology and with only condemnation and contempt towards me when I protested. I've called customer service but received only a "maybe" as far as a refund is concerned. It's a call I never should have had to make.

We were very disappointed in the quality of the truck that we received. I understand we were probably given that specific truck because the location knew that it was a one way rental so they did not want to lose one of their more reliable trucks. The battery problem was a simple enough fix that I feel like it should have been noticed during routine maintenance, ESPECIALLY because the location knew we were driving a long distance. The issue with the truck was a major inconvenience and when the gentleman from this location called to see if I was on the road he did apologize but he also said, "this happens sometimes just like your car will experience issues." Wrong, you do not get to say that to someone that just paid you $450.00 for your company to provide me a service that you essentially failed at. (plus what we paid for a storage unit for a few months) My tone would be different if he would not have said.

I ordered a 10' truck with an appliance cart and furniture pads. I sent my daughter and her boyfriend to pick it up. They didn't have our stuff ready. They gave her a 15' truck with no cart and no furniture pads. My daughter believes that our truck was given the the couple ahead of us; as there was a smaller truck sitting there running. The staff indicated that I never ordered the carts and pads; and when my daughter said she had the email of the order that showed that, they wouldn't even look at it. I then received a second email indicating that my order had been changed to just the 15' truck. Additionally, when I reserved the uhaul I provided a credit card that should be used to pay for it. They refused to use that and made her provide a card; regardless of that fact that they completed a $1 auth on my credit card that was never reversed. I have done business with uhaul on several occassions and I have had a good experience ... until now.

the equipment ran Like crap and felt like the shocks were shot every bump you would feel it in your back. I am a truck driver and I will never complain my rig after driving your equipment to find out from your rep it's one of the oldest ones they had
