Vehicle I was issued had not been checked-in (I can only assume) after the previous user had returned it. There was lighter fluid and a clothes hanger still inside. This wasn't the issue, however. The associate who retrieved my vehicle noted the fuel gauge was off and updated the contract. The odometer was off as well but I failed to note before driving off. I complained and was told I had to cover the additional miles since I didn't check upon leaving. I realize I agreed in the contract to do so but for things like this, I usually trust the company to have done all the necessary paperwork and have everything checked to begin with. Needless to say this will be my last time I use U-Haul (and I move a LOT).

Our service was excellent on all levels. We ended up taking longer than we thought to fill our U-Box and the store was closing, all the workers were very understanding and told us not to worry, though they had to stay over a bit. Everyone was very accommodating during a very stressful time of moving a family of 7 out of state. I will definitely be using/recommending you all in the future. Thanks again.

Check-in was very slow. (Only one person at the counter for much of the time, and she was helping someone on the phone along with another customer at the counter.) The return check-in was quick and pleasant with the gentleman who did it.

I will NEVER USE U hale again...we barely costed to the side of the freeway were we ended up on the side of the freeway for over two hours, a battery needed to be replaced, this put us off our time to meet my son who would take the truck from Salt Lake City and head back to Wy. I ened up having to buy two plane tickets so I could make it back to work on Sunday. Then on top of all this I called to make a complaint, I got a call with in two days but after that didn't get any help...terrible customer service. I will never recommended U Hale to anyone. Very un happy with everything. I'm telling everyone my horrible experience..

The lady in the office was a bit difficult to work with. There were three auto transport trailers on the lot. Two of them easily accessible and one in the middle of all the trailers. I got assigned the one in the middle. The yard guy asked her if they could change me to one of the outside trailers and she said no. So he had to spend an extra 15 minutes just moving trailers out of the way to get to mine. It was ridiculous and extremely unnecessary. I was about 30 minutes late for my pickup and the lady seemed to be upset about this and I'm sure this was a way to retaliate. Very poor customer service skills. The yard guys helping me during pickup and dropoff were great though!

Our original pick up place was stereo and dj outlet. 055033. We checked in and hooked up the trailor and the lites did not work. The guy offered no help but recommended I try down the street. We went there and met Jjunior Gomez was great. He got on line and phoned etc to find us a trailor. He had no one way 5x8 trailers. He found one at at the location on Blackstone. The folks were great too. I would like my $50.00. Refund. It was not Ready and a horrible location in one of the worst sections of the city

Was misled the price would be $.29 per mile instead I charged $.59 per mile a weekend rate that was made or POSTED. I am in the process of contacting the BBB to file a complaint!

I was charged $7 for a dolly that I did not use. Giving customers the after hours return option is great, but if extra charges are going to surprise them because they have no control over the return inspection, then it would be more honest to specify a night return charge. I contacted customer service, but the store has not yet refunded the charge or contacted at all.

I returned the pickup and open trailer five days early. Since I dropped the equipment after hours, no one was there to physically inspect the equipment, and most importantly, the fuel level. Since U-haul does not require their trucks to come back full, it is the responsibility of the person renting the unit to try and match the fuel level at the time of pick up - which I did - including using the "handy" estimator that U-haul has printed on to the contracts. Since the location did not bother to send me the receipt via email, I had to follow up on my own, which was approximately three days later - believe it or not, people do have other things going on in their lives! I finally got the Blackstone location to email me the receipt, which, upon review, included an $11.00 EZ Fuel Sales Charge. Ironic isn't it? I wasn't there to watch the attendant check the fuel gauge and it just so happens that I end up with a fuel charge. It doesn't end here... I tried to follow up with the Blackstone location at least five times via telephone. Every time, other than when I got the location rep to email me the receipt, the phones for the Blackstone location roll to the off-site call center reps. Approximately one week ago, one of these off-site call-center reps forwarded a message to the actual location letting them know I wanted a call back to dicuss my dispute with the charge. Here we are approximately two weeks after I returned the equipment, and no one from U-Haul Fresno/Blackstone has bothered to be call me back. Even when I called again this morning - just after 7:00 AM PDT, the call rolled to the call-center. Good thing I got a rep at the corporate office in Phoeniz... received the same commitment to resend the same message regarding my fuel dispute. Sound like the run-around? Exceptional customer service? I would not recommend this facility to anyone! Very unhappy with how I have been treated

The service was terrible. Check-in was unacceptably long, due to incompetent employees. The phone representatives were very helpful and knowledgable, however. They even suggested an alternative rental that worked out better than what I had originally planned.

I was made to wait longer, behind a customer that arrived and was served after I had a contract and a key, because the attendant needed to "get this other customer's truck first". When I suggested that maybe because I had already been waiting for 15 minutes out in the lot, that maybe she could get my truck first, she replied that "They were her customer, and she needed to take care of them first". A very poor answer. If there was another location nearby, I would go there instead.

Takes way to long to get checked in and return a trailer. Staff wanders around, not all that helpful (except for one guy who took initiative). This is the only location that regularly has trailers available, otherwise I would definitely go somewhere else!!
