First when I went to pick up my truck at 9:00 a.m. I arrived and they didn't have a truck, I had to drive an additional 6.5 miles to another location to pick it up and it wasn't ready until 9:30. This caused me to drive the rental and extra 13 miles which you charged me .99 per mile so with tax, $13.90. Also, the trucks steering was very loose and made it difficult to keep the truck on the road. Also the truck rattled and bounced. I'm just glad I made it back alive. Also my total mileage was 29.5 miles and when I filled it up it took 8 gallons. 3.6 mile per gallon is pretty bad. Next time, make sure it is filled up before you rent it.

Customer service was horrible. The owner's communication skills lack any sense of concern for any of the 4 customers he waited on. Furthermore the tactic of adding through bag of blankets and dolly left a feeling of being hood wink. I will only use uhal if I have no other choice. Guy Walton

The problem I had was that I only needed the truck for 24 hours. I tried to get a contract for 1-2 days but I was not allowed to do that. The U-Haul rental requirement was from Friday to Tuesday and I had no choice in the rental period. The rental cost me well over $500 plus gas. Also the truck had one-eighth of a tank of gas and U-Haul would not reimburse me for the left over gas that I paid for before returning the vehicle. I could have rented the truck locally for $29/day. I believe charging me roughly 20 times the daily rate for a 1 way rental is grossly excessive.

The equipment was clean, but I think there is something wrong with the transmission. The A/C didn't work either and South Mississipi is really hot and humid in June.

Truck should've been out of service in 1990... Employees were great with trucks they had to work with!!!! The truck I rented cost me more in gas than the rental!! Y'all are killing the environment!!!

The rental and return experience was good BUT the whole reservation experience was AWFUL. I had a truck reserved for the 18th of May and tried to change it to pick up a day earlier and then UHaul CANCELLED my reservation. Got it fixed that time and then UHaul put my reservation at a location that was closed so that again cancelled my reservation showing that I didn't pick up the truck which since the location was closed I couldn't pick it up. FINALLY got another reservation for another truck but had to get a bigger truck than I wanted because of all the mess ups and had to take it 40 miles out of my way to get a discount on the truck so I could afford this much larger truck. Will not be using the 800 number ever again.

Well the person the waited on me was horrible his name was Justin. He has a very nasty attitude that needs to be corrected. He has no customer service nor does he have any people skills. Justin really gives u-haul a bad name. He was horrible and I am very upset.

Exterior of truck could have been cleaned up a little more, particularly the windshield. I stopped and washed windshield while filling with fuel. Back of truck was clean. Otherwise in good shape. Make sure vehicle is full of fuel; that would be one less stop a customer would have to make. The rate was very competitive. I'll see you next time.

Decrease the mileage rates on the trucks to the same as the vans and pick-ups. You already pay more for the trucks and have to buy gas. Why should you pay more mileage?

Perhaps not the local owners fault but I caled to request an additional day. What I didnt know is that the call was routed to the "call center". I thought I was talking to the local owners but I was speaking to someone at a completely different location. The person told me it was fine to keep the truck an additional 48 hours (pull the voice records if yall have them). So, the next day, I got a call from the local owners wanting to know why I hadnt returned the truck. He wasnt necessarily rude to me, but he was definitely irked that I had the truck still and that the extra day thing had not gone through him, because he stated that another customer was scheduled to use truck that day. He was understandably perturbed, but I explained that it wasnt my fault and that I would have the truck returned at the agreed upon time. We ended taking the truck back a couple of hours early. I admit that I would be perturbed too if people made decisions about my equipment outside of my control too.
