I went to rent a 6ft trailer and reserved one the young lady hooked it to my truck when I noticed the opening of the rear end is only 4rt plus, so in reality it is not 6ft we had to remove the trailer. I strongly believe that customers should be aware of this problem

The whole process was easier than I thought it would be. The equipment was well maintained. The people were friendly and efficient. It was a heavy weekend with many college students moving into housing, so the lines were long and we had to be patient.

The overall experience was pleasant. The check-out process was not well explained during the pick-up so when we arrived for return we had no idea where to go. The line inside was also unorganized and very long to wait.

I didn't drop the truck off myself, didn't see the location. But I would like to reiterate how bad this experience was. My reservation, made in May, was for a 20 foot truck, going one way, from Chicago to Milwaukee, on August 1, picking up at 9 am. Throughout the day on July 31 uhaul changed my reservation no less than 7 times without me asking, and always in ways that were unacceptable. Our building requires that you reserve the loading dock weeks in advance, and our reservation kept being changed to far past an acceptable time to use it in the time slot we reserved. Every time I called to fix the situation I would get a message 30 minutes later that my res was changed again. Eventually my res devolved into picking up a 15 foot truck in Schererville Indiana (60 miles away from where I live), and it was going to be as an in town rental, meaning I'd have to return the truck there. I called to request that we be compensated for the added mileage between Chicago and Indiana because it was due to uhauls ineptitude that Indiana became our pickup location. I was told I'd receive a call back regarding this and never did, and when I finally called again to follow up they said everyone was gone for the day. This was also after I'd had customer service reps hang up on me several times without even trying to help me. So on august 1 when I go to Indiana to pick up the truck I'm told it has to be back by 2pm because it's reserved. I pull my phone out and show the service person the message I got that clearly states the rental is good through 7 am the next day. But it was no good, just another lie from uhaul. On the ride back from bumblefuck indiana I call to get help and again the rep hangs up without trying to help me. I call again, and finally, at long last, I'm able to reserve a pickup, one way to Milwaukee, picking up less than a mile from my house. WOW, did you guys screw the pooch on this one! How hard is it to keep a reservation? You want me to tell you a secret? If something is reserved, that means you hold it for the person that reserved it, and don't give it away to other people! Is it really that fucking hard?! And the worst part is I barely got an apology for this mess. Uhaul made the manager from the location I picked up at call and apologize. He had nothing to do with it and that location itself was fine. Uhaul should really have more accountability for their actions, what a shitty fucking company.

This location was very clean and the staff was friendly and professional. The problem with this site is that I had to drive to it from the Chicago suburbs since my original reservation, made a month in advance at a location 1 mile from home, was canceled by U-Haul a week before I was to pick it up. U-haul needs to stop making more reservations than equipment available.

Parking the trailers on the grass is.. well, stupid. It is impossible to unhitch the trailer due to the forces on the hitch. I know it yields more room for trucks, but some of us still like trailers. I have rented a trailer from this location approximately eight times in the last year. In addition I will rent a trailer at least four more times in the next few months.

This was the second time that, when I got there, the vehicle reserved for me had been rented to someone else and was not available. The person who helped me was very helpful and I ended up getting a smaller truck plus a trailer, which worked out well for me, but I was not happy at first. However it was fixed appropriately, which also happened last time.

I don't know that it is the fault of this location but I booked a 26' ft truck and received a 17' ft, which forced me to do more trips and pay significantly more in mileage. After being incorrectly booked 3 times I called the number on the confirmation email only to have them screw it up again.

The manager was trying to charge me four days of rental when I only had the rental for 2 days. After they fixed my bill they didnt explain why he was trying to charge me double or appoligize. He has porr customer service.

Went to drop off the truck and although the door to location was open there was no one manning the front desk. After a 10 minute wait, in which several other customers arrived, someone walked around the building and found the desk clerk standing outside chatting. It was my first time using uhaul so it was a bit frustrating bringing back the truck and not being sure what to do with it since no one was there to help.

No one is likely going to care about what I'm writing, but to say it anyways. The computer that uhaul uses is very annoying. I've had to wait countless times at two different locations because the system is very annoying to work with. The employees are great, but many times you can see their frustration with the faulty system they must work with.

We originally rented a truck 8/2/15. At the pick up counter we were asked where we were moving from/to. We told the man we were emptying out one of your storage units in the next block. He proceeded to rent us the truck. We get to the storage unit and the elevator is out. With a vague sign about the elevator not working and someone would be back soon! No date, no time, nothing. I walked back to the rental office and asked when the elevator would be fixed. They said they didn't know. Why was I allowed to rent the truck when they knew I was emptying out a unit that the elevator wasn't working for? My husband and I both called during the week of 8/3 to see if the elevator was fixed. There is no onsite phone number. The girl I spoke to had no idea and took my number for someone to get back to me. I never got any response. My husband left a voicemail. He also got no response. We had to drive down there to physically determine if the elevator was working. We want our money back for the first 9 days of August since your elevator was out from 7/28-8/4 and we were unable to empty our unit on the 2nd.

I arrived first thing (8am) to pick up my truck for my 800+ mile move and was scheduled to pick up my trailer later that day by 5:30pm. After the truck was loaded I returned to have the auto transport trailer installed and ended up having to wait for nearly an hour because it was not pulled out and made ready for me. Also, there was a notation that there was a tear in the "attic" area, and there would be leaking issues...this was not pointed out to me at the time of picking up the truck (no walk thru to inspect vehicle was done). I drove thru three storms and after arriving experienced another rain storm which did cause water damage to several boxes. There were only two men working at that time (one was in the process of being trained). There were several other customers waiting for service as well and I ended up having to wait longer in order to attend to them. I understand that customer service is key, but making a customer wait for an hour to pick up equipment per scheduled is not acceptable.
