Our truck was clean and fueled. However, soon after I left the U Haul place, the tire pressure light came on....so I paid to fill the tire in question, but the light on the dashboard stayed on. I also noticed that the oil service light was on, as well as another indicator light. I was concerned that the truck might break down. Though it didn't break down there must be more attention paid to normal maintenance....customers shouldn't have to worry about mechanical breakdowns!

Overall, my experience at this location was ok. However, there are a few things that could be improved. I was called to change my pick up time twice to 2.5 hours earlier than when I reserved the truck. The representative told me this was so that the vehicle could get back for someone to use. When I arrived in the store I was told I could have as much time as needed, so this was confusing. The pre-trip walk around also did not put me at ease because some of the damage did not have an "x" by it. I was wondering where is the line drawn and what damage could I be held libel for that I did not cause. Finally, the check out process was unclear. The gentleman was going to email me a receipt and check the truck later. This is where the undocumented damage comes in. I felt like he was inconvenienced by me wanting a paper receipt which he could not give me unless he went and got the mileage. I do appreciate getting a rental with almost a full tank of gas rather than the old method of an almost empty tank. Also the truck was mechanically sound. I will use U-Haul in the future but not this location. Thank you for your time.

Truck was too noisy. The AC was my working blowing hot air. When called back the location they said it was working when I picked up the truck. When I droped off the truck guy working behind the register said that AC in this truck is not working for past two weeks. I am pretty upset about that.

If you change the size truck don't force a customer to go out of thier way 2 pick it up. Like I did. I downsized and had 2 go from wheeling to Morton grove 2 get the vehicle. Other than that the whole experience was wonderful. Rental/return agent was wonderful as well Ty

This is the second time that the trailer I reserved was not available when I arrived. The first time I was sent to another location and this time I was told to go to another location. I demanded an alternative at this location because I was under time constraints. The manager allowed me to use another trailer but it was a headache and waste of time. I will be trying other rental companies because uHaul cannot deliver on what they promise.

Horrible customer service. I made my reservation fro 7 AM at the Des Plaines location. I then received an email saying my reservation is set for 6:30pm at the Arlington Heights location. I called the customer service help line and after waiting on hold for over 15 minutes I finally was able to get a hold of someone. When I asked why my time and location were changed they said the time I requested was not available so it was switched on my behalf (without my consent). I was then placed on hold again for another 5 minutes before I was transfered to someone at the scheduling department. I had to explain the situation several times until the customer service representative understood why a 6:30pm pick-up wouldn't work. Additionally, the truck I initially requested was not available so I had to settle for a truck 6 feet shorter than what I originally wanted. I also had to go to a further location. Once the customer service representative was able to revise my resevation for a 7am pick up time at the Morton Grove location, I thought I was all set. After ending the call I received a confirmation email that indicated that the location had been changed, but the reservation was still listed for 6:30pm. I then had to call AGAIN to clarify that I needed the truck for 7am. Once again I was placed on hold and had to explain the situtation for the third time. For such a large company, this is a horrible scheduling system. If the requested truck is not available at the requested time/location, you should notify your customer of that at that time rather than change their reservation on their behalf. I am extremely disappointed with U-haul's customer service. Moving is stressful enough as it is, renting a moving truck should never have to be this complicated.

I was charged an incorrect amount to a card I did not authorize. I was not contacted by general store manager per conversation with one of the employees from yesterday which should have happened before payment. I am very disappointed with the services of uhaul in general. I was supposed to receive a $50 guarantee for the truck not being available at the location I requested. I called in 2 weeks ago regarding a complaint with customer service reps and still no feedback.
