I reserved a truck for pick up...the customer service was less than friendly and we had to wait over an hour to pick the truck up and there was only one other customer in the store at the time. No instructions were given to review of the contract and the truck wasn't even full on gas when I received it. Poor, poor, poor customer service!!! Never told me when I needed to return the truck either! Just the day.

Experience was good. Major storms came through shortly before my return so computers were down and I just had to leave the trailer hoping it was returned properly. Received confirmation and survey so I assume it was returned today.

They did not take into consideration how many miles I was going because before I got to my destination my trailer tires wore to the steel belts and I experienced a flat smoking tire on the side of the highway.

the person in charge was acceptable, but the support staff was not very helpful, nor did they organize things to allow for the next rental to happen smoothly. I was returning a 5x8 trailer, I had to detach the trailer from my vehicle, and once it was set on the ground, the uhaul employee simply left it in the middle of the driveway, and did not move it off to the side. this movement would have been a simple 15-20 foot move. It would have allowed the next person in line more space to maneuver, and would have made for a safer parking lot.

Rear tires had zero tread on them. It was extremely dangerous in winter driving conditions and a complete inconvienence as we got stuck in our drive way and outside our storage unit... In three inches of snow...Never told us where to park when we dropped truck off so we spent over ten minutes in a snowy parking lot trying to get unstuck from where we initially parked it. We had to move it because the man plowing the lot said it was in the way. Would definitely think twice before going to any Uhaul service again.

It turned out my light connection on my vehicle did not work, but it took about a half hour of testing my connection by someone who did not know what he was doing to come to that conclusion. He was testing my connection without my lights on, therefore no power going through the wires, so it would not indicate anything, anyway. He also tested the connections on the trailer - again with no power going through them. It was very obvious he did not know what he was doing!!! I tried asking several times if my lights should be on, louder and louder, but he either could not hear me or did not understand me. I finally went in and asked the other attendant to come out to confirm that they did not work. It was offered that I could bring my vehicle inside for $20 to have them look at it but it would probably take a long time to correct it and any correction would be charged on top of the $20. I opted to rent a van, which cost me 4 times what the trailer was going to cost me. I was not instructed in that I had to wait and let it sit after filling with gas for the fuel gauge to register correctly, so I filled with what I thought was more than enough gas and drove a few miles with it indicating just less than it was when I picked it up (3/4 tank). Ended up putting a couple more gallons of gas in across the street to bring it to what should have been 3/4 tank, only to have it register a full tank when I got back in. Why is that information not given to the customer when they rent it? Asked that because I gave them 1/4 tank extra in gas to not charge me the 4.1 miles over the 100 miles I rented it for. Was informed I could not be reimbursed for the overage in fuel . . . I get that, but then let the customer know ahead of time about the idiosycracies of the fuel gauge. Was also informed that the computer would not let them not charge me for the 4.1 miles over my 100. Maybe you should provide the average miles per gallon that the vehicle uses so the customer has a good idea of how much gas to put in to replace what was used based on their mileage. Obviously, the gas gauge has issues that definitely benefit the dealer.

the trailer was covered with ice and snow , l had to remove it from the lighting and fenders and help hitch it up. they had a new guy that tried to do his best but was not very well trained for being there for a few months. but the price was ok, but hided or extra cost show of be told you may need the blankets a plug adaptor would of be nice. to know there may be more cost then just told 29.99 It ended up 43. and some change and l paid cash for the adaptor of about 14 dollars so it wos twenty plus dallors more then thought , but l knew going I wasn't told there would be or maybe other cost. but it got me in the door didn't it.

We have an 05" Ford Escape we purchased used that had a hitch but we didn't notice the factory installed wiring. We asked for a harness to be installed and it was installed poorly with external wires hanging from beneath the frame when I climbed under the car I found the factory installed plug. I would think that the technician would have noticed this rather than poorly installing a needless part. That said the store is removing the part and crediting me for the cost of the part but not the labor.

The battery on our uhaul died and it they sent someone from grand rapids to come and jump it. For one they locations should always make sure that the batteries are charged. For two I was unable to get all of the moving I needed to get done that day because I couldn't drive the uhual because of the battery. It made my moving day hell.

I returned my equipment and was told that the gentleman outside could give me my final total if I wanted it. I felt in inconvenienced having to walk outside to get my total but got over that. Upon reaching the truck I was given a total twice my estimated amount. I rented a truck just a month ago, went a little further so I used more miles and it wasn't anywhere near the total he was quoting. I questioned it, he said the gas was under. I looked in the truck, I admitted it was probably $5-$10 shy of the half and said I'd go put that in because I wasn't going to pay $30 for $5 short. He then gave me a total $30 less. I said that's still $40 higher. Where are you getting the additional amount from? After about 5 minutes he had a total that mirrored more of what I paid a month ago. What was most frustrating to me was the fact that had I not taken the time to walk outside and around to the truck I wouldn't have known until it cleared my account that I was being double billed. Was not a good experience from the customer viewpoint but my other experiences have been pleasant so I won't say I'd never return again.
