The truck was old (125k miles) but got us the 1,000 miles we needed to go. It was clean but the windshield wiper blades were shot and the headlights barely worked. We hit a rainstorm and heavy fog and were definitely at risk due to the shoddy conditions of the wipers and headlights. In fact, I am waiting to call Uhaul during business hours to get a partial refund.

I reserved a 26foot truck at arrival was told they set me up for a 20foot truck, this was an inconvenience but i was on a time crunch being that i had to be out of my house the very next day, and my new house is 60 miles round trip. I definitely needed a second trip but i could not afford another 60 miles on the rental. When i went back to return the truck there were 2 employees that where really rude, i only needed to return the truck it takes less than 5 mins, but they left me inside the store by myself for over 15 mins, to help other men, some of which came in after me, and that only added to my moving frustration. This place is very unprofessional. Once i finally got someone's attention i told him about my morning frustration with not receiving my reservation at 26ft, and his response was yeah we dont carry 26 footers at this location. If you can avoid this staff, please do.

When we arrived and walked into the building, a hispanic man who did not look like he worked there was talking to one of the U-haul representatives. They looked like they knew each other, as they were carrying on a long conversation and laughing, and the gentleman looked comfortable sprawled out in a chair. Not wanting to interrupt, we waited patiently for about 5 minutes until they finished their conversation, at which point we were called to begin our transaction. Although there was a mixup and they had trouble finding our reservation, they eventually found it and asked us to meet them outside by the truck. On the way out, the hispanic gentleman who was still sitting in the chair asked us if we wanted to hire him and his friends to move our belongings. We declined and went outside to the truck. As I inspected the truck I noted that the gas gauge needle was a full needle width to the left of 1/2 tank. The paperwork indicated the truck was at exactly 1/2. I notified the U-haul representative, but he insisted that it was sitting at 1/2. He insisted that I sit down on the seat and check the needle, which I did, and it was still under. I kept explaining to him that it was unacceptable and that he needed to change the paperwork, but he argued with me and insisted that I was wrong. I am not typically one to make a fuss over something so small, but I have had issues with U-haul charging me for gas in the past, and I wanted to make sure that I was doing my part. I really wanted to just cancel the whole order after being insulted by this representative, but I needed the truck, so I opted to swallow my pride and take it as it was. As soon as I pulled out of the driveway onto a flat and level street I looked at the gauge again and it was now two full needle widths left of 1/2 a tank. Lastly, I noticed on the return trip that the truck began to shutter when I would accelerate from a stop. The representative who helped me return it was much friendlier, and made sure to annotate the shuttering. I am really hoping that I do not have to move again, but if I do, I certainly will not be using this location, and I am very likely to consider another moving company. It is my hope that the representatives at this location will receive some sort of customer interaction training, and that certain values such as "the customer is always right" might ring true in the future, instead of questioning the integrity of the customer in order to get them out the door a little quicker.

The trailer I rented the floor was dirty and extremely sticky. I did not see this until I was home. So 30 minutes wasted cleaning the trailer. The really bad part was when I returned the trailer, I was asked by staff if the trailer had been swept and clean. I advised him it is cleaner than I received it, explaining about dirt and the sticking on the floor. He did not even acknowledge I had said anything. I did not even push it as I was at the end of a long tiring day.

first man needs who checked us out in the store some customer service skills. not friendly.my husband has a vape and he told him they were illegal and was rude. man who checked us out and the man on the phone were great wait tile long. understaffed for a friday night.

The employees at this location were great. My issues dont lie with them but with the administrative personel at the regional office and the company's overall procedures. Made my reservation online, easy peasy. Called to confirm my location, great. Received a call the DAY BEFORE my 400+ mile move that I would need to drive AN HOUR OUT OF TOWN to pick up my truck. Um... excuse me? What's the point in making a reservation? A month in advance, might I add. I understand things happen but in that type of situation, I believe they should AT LEAST offer to bring the truck to an in-town location. And of course at that late notice all alternative companies have nothing available. They offered a $50 credit as part of the "in-town" guarantee (AFTER I filed a complaint. NOT when they told me that they weren't honoring my reservation ) but that barely covered the gas. Moving is already a potentially stressful experience. I don't need to pay over $800 to add to my stress. I am NOT impressed.
