We picked up out truck the night before we were going to use the truck to move my boat from one location to another one. The day of the move we got a fat tire and waited over 3 1/2 hours in 90 degree heat for someone to come change the tire. When they finally showed up we found out that not all the pieces to the jack were with the truck, so we had to drive it back to 1525 Bryant Street for them to change the tire only to find out that they could not help us out either. Instead of giving us a different truck I had to call my wife to have her bring down a floor jack so I could change the tire. I want a refund of 1 full day of rental with 50 miles taken off. I have left so many messages for the manager of this location to call me back and as of this review I have yet to hear a word from him. If this is not resolved in 7 days I will have no choice but to take this to someone who will listen to me and this person will not be a manager. Mike Banducci

Staff were patient amidst stressed customers...handled people appropriately under stressful situations. Kudos to all staff! They are in the front lines of customer service chaos, and handled it well!

Inside of truck smelled/looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while (beyond removing trash). Otherwise service and everything were great.

I had a horrible experience with this Uhaul location. Poor customer service.

The truck I reserved (and did "early check in" for the night before) was not available. I was given a smaller truck which in the end did not fit all of my things. The person who "helped" me didn't give me any other options, e.g. a bigger truck at the same price, check a different U-Haul to see if they had the right size. And then gave me the wrong keys. Also, the website should really warn people that there is no parking lot and VERY limited street parking. The return process was easy.

The customer service was poor and I hate to wait quite a long time to be helped both when I entered the building and when I was getting my equipment checked on the way out. It also was not explained to me that the moving blankets were rentals which caused confusion at drop off. It seemed as though I was bothering the customer service representative by coming in to pick up my reservation.

Poorly understaffed and disorganized is the best I could say about this location. The truck I reserved online days in advance was not available leaving my only option a cargo van. While waiting in the van on queue for someone to inspect the van before leaving the property, I was hit my another customer trying to skip the process. Took a few minutes for someone to come out to deal with the issue and call their insurance company (FYI, they only handle accidents with other non-Uhaul vehicles). She noted everything on both contracts and 30 minutes later, I was finally on my way. On returning, the desk agent did not know what to do and again had to hunt down the the one person who knew what was going on and what needed to be filled out. Through it all, no apologies nor concessions were made. I went over my estimated milage by 5 miles and you better bet they were going to get their additional $5.97. Now I have to follow up with the DMV to make sure no points are added to my record and with my insurance to ensure my rates do not go up. I should have used Lugg and saved myself the hassle.

The lady who helped me at the counter was a little rough around the edges and quick to be bit argumentative. The gentleman that helped me once I got outside was pleasant and professional.

Broken mirror, very over priced almost 200 for a 10 foot moving van 40 miles.... I will never get a uhaul again you guys have probably sealed a few coffins with your terrible practices

Had to switch vans because of low tire pressure, delaying my starting time 45 minutes. They couldn't fix the tire as the equipment was broken. The second van also had low tire pressure, which the attendant told me "hopefully you'll make it back here ok".... Very reassuring. Not worth $125.

The staff at UHAUL in San Francisco on Bryant Street was thoughtful and accommodating. I was particularly impressed with Amalia (sp?) who set up the order, Rob who dispatched the order and (I believe his name is Jason) Jason who in his role as the dealer checked us out. Amalia was courteous and very well informed. She made certain that I had everything I'd need to do the job, and notated my account so when I picked it up everything was in order and was exactly as promised. I encountered Rob twice; when I went to pick up and drop off (both times I arrived 45 mins. prior to the location opening) both times Rob was ALREADY THERE, waiting outside for the location to open. He was very courteous and considerate in making sure I had what I need. His skill-set and his abilities to interface with customers was so far above what's required to perform his job, I told him he should look for a job that would take advantage of his obvious customer-service abilities. I encountered Jason who opened the location when I picked up the truck. Here again, was a person who's abilities exceeded their position. He made sure that I received the order exactly as notated (and in doing so he, in concert with Rob, needed to made a quick adjustment with the order to make sure I and other customers left feeling great about the experience! These guys could get ANY customer relations job in San Francisco, and I say that as a C-level exec at a global mobile app co that interfaces with some of the world's largest customer-serving companies. Rob, Jason, and Amalia represent the best of the best in customer service. UHAUL should recognize such extraordinary competency in its employees. If it dosen't it stands to lose incredibly valuable customer service people (who could be training UHAUL employees) to other companies that will value their abilities. Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience with UHAUL with you.

I thought your website stated that all moving trucks have ramps which is why I originally booked the 10' truck as the ramp was an absolute necessity for my move. The truck rental was time sensitive and luckily there was a 14' truck available and the staff quickly and efficiently adjusted my reservation to switch trucks. Adjusting the out time of my rental to the time I was actually able to get the keys to my vehicle would have been ideal, but after I asked, the asociate did let me know I had a one hour grace period to return the truck if I called to inform them if I was running late. It all worked out in the end but would have been best had my time been automatically adjusted given the situation, and I would have had my 24 hour rental until 45-60 minutes later while still having the grace period buffer in case it was needed. Overall, I would definitely rent from your company and this location again. Just providing some feedback. Perhaps I did not read the website clearly enough about the moving ramps.

I mean it's a U-Haul I don't expect people to do back flips while taking down my info. I don't even really care if they smile (that's a bonus not expected). So they were swift here and I appreciated that.

Understaffed at 7 AM. Only one person at the desk. However, online check in does help a lot.

I made a reservation a month in advance, and Uhaul could not accommodate me on my move day. You switched the pick up location to an inconvenient location, and then when I arrived, you didn't even have the truck I reserved. I had to get a smaller truck, and then drive to another location, wait in line, and pick up a trailer. I will most definitely be telling everyone I know never to use Uhaul. We had to leave items behind in our old location and also dump some items we wanted to keep. Your actions costed me both money and time. I'm very frustrated and upset with my experience.

The rental obviously had someone sleeping it in the night before. The smell was horrid and it wasn't clean. I rented here before last month and the condition of the rentals are the worst I have ever seen in my experience. Also its bad practice to give a truck to a customer with barely any gas. This truck the bumper was falling off and the last one the drivers side mirror was not secure so it didn't stay in place. Both felt run down and ill maintained.

You didn't have the equipment I ordered and sent me to Redwood City. Redwood City didn't have the equipment I ordered, either. Casey Clark, the manager, has been ignoring my calls and messages for three weeks, now. Unbelievable.
