I rented this exact trailer from them a month ago and I pointed out a d-ring that was broken then and it was still broken on this second time.... All trailer lights were not working shortly after I picked it up and waited an hour for your road side assistance to come over and it took him 2 hours to fix it.... added 3 hours to my trip.... returned the trailer the morning after it was suppose to be returned and they charged me for an entire extra day.... it was returned late because I got back to late the day of thanks to the break down..... will not be renting another trailer from U-haul

You need to do something about your courter help 3/4 wait to for pickup and 3/4 drop off as there was only one person on the courter. The gas tank was on empty not 1/4 like the courter person said which it cost me $ 30 dollars then 20 would have done my trip.

vehicle was very old and although i got home, i never felt like i was going to. the transmission felt like it could drop out at any moment and shifting from neutral to drive or reverse made a terrible clunking sound that got worse the longer i had the truck.

We booked a truck online to have it ready to be picked up as soon as the store opened at 7 am. There was only one person there to help which created a backlog of people waiting to pick up their rentals. Also, there is no parking there to provide convenience for people renting.

When I went to the location on Weston Road and Wilson, they closed the location before closing time the official closing time and I was turned away. The customer service people were rude and unaccommodating. If I require a truck rental again, I will search for another company.

I asked a male staff to help uninstall the trailer but he said "you have to do it yourself". I told him that I have back pain and he "so do I". I had to wait till another staff become available. This female staff started to help me and could not disconnect the chain and had to ask the other guy who had refused to help me. Eventually, he had to help to disconnect the trailer but I had to suffer before it happened.

The online reservation system was easy to use. The customer service rep at the location was very pleasant and helpful. The truck was ready for pickup when I arrived with my requested furniture pads. Truck was the size I requested. Overall, it was a positive start to my moving day.

The truck was supposed to have over half a tank of gas in it, after driving about 3 KM the tank just dropped to 1/4 tank of gas. I only drove over 33KM and there I believe that there is no way that much gas was used. Of course I had to bring the fuel back to where it was so it added to my fuel cost of the rental.

I sent a review to u-haul yesterday. This was my first rental experience with u-haul and it was fine. The on-line pre registration was a great help. The thing that I had an issue with was signing for howmuch fuel was in the truck, 1/4 tank. When i got into the truck, there was less than 1/8, my first stop was a fuel station. I also had to ensure there was at least 1/4 tank of fuel upon returning the truck to avoid a $30 charge.The other issue was not been allowed to leave my car in the parking lot. I had to leave in the residential street behind uhaul.

Dear uHaul, I’m writing to you for what can only be characterized as a customer service disaster: - 3 failed reservations - Countless hours wasted travelling between rental locations only to find out the vehicle was not available - Unable to move all furniture and possessions between properties The vehicle was being rented to move furniture and possessions between properties in Toronto and Waterloo. It was a very stressful time as we needed to move out of two properties and into one property, and a 10’ foot truck was needed given the furniture and possessions needed to be moved. A reservation was made #95753072 on June 24th for a 10’ truck for June 30th. To confirm everything was okay for pickup 4:45pm that day, a call was made in the morning to verify the reservation. At that time during the call it was identified that the vehicle was unavailable as it had ‘broken’ down; first failed reservation. An update to the reservation was made for a Cargo van at 415 OAKDALE RD UNIT 222 for pickup at 3pm. While on route to the location a call was made to indicate the cargo van was not returned by the customer; second failed reservation. An escalation was made to uHaul Customer Service indicating the problems encountered and a further update to the reservation was made to secure a 10’ moving van from 2753 WESTON RD, TORONTO. I had even explicitly asked if I should have anything to worry about with the reservation and the representative I talked with had promised it would be ready. Upon arrival at the Weston Road location it appeared that the reservation ‘didn’t make it into their system’, and the location was not aware of the reservation and thus no vehicle was available; third failed reservation. At the Weston Road location a customer returned a cargo van, and although undersized it was needed to move essentials (i.e. beds) so that there was a place to sleep that night, and thus the vehicle was secured. I have to say that over all my years of working with businesses this is by far the biggest disappointment. When I called customer service to indicate the two failed reservations, the best they could do was offer $50 dollar credit. Not only was this situation very stressful, it was a complete waste of time and the downgrade in the size of vehicle means we were unable to move all possessions between properties. I’m writing this letter to give you the opportunity as a company to stand up for your brand and reputation. As you know word of mouth is very powerful in this social media age, and although the facts of this situation can’t change I’m hoping that uHaul will rectify this situation and provide a positive ending to this horrible situation. Businesses use words to provide comfort to their customers, such as guarantees, successful businesses are those that back up their words with actions, businesses who ignore their customers are doomed for failure. The trailer need some new strapping hooks. Many of them had been broken off or damaged. The staff was otherwise great.
