I had picked up my truck at the Pine Falls location in Manitoba & my tow Dolly at the Regent location. Night & day experience. My truck was littered with garbage inside the cab, tank was less than half full ( as promised ) and the associate was terrible. I had to input my information into the computer myself as the was a language barrier. The truck had not been inspected and I was not given a visual inspection or document for it. I had asked for an inspection etc, however I was told I did not need it and they don't normally do one. Ha! I had been handed the key, and I asked if I needed anything like paperwork etc and he said no. When I opened the door, the cab was filled with garbage and the glove box would not open. They told me it was ok. I explained I was crossing the border and still... said it was fine. Ha! WORST EXPERIENCE ever!!! Plus, the back of the truck was dirty as well, and I had to spend a half hour cleaning it out and sweep it. Ugh! There is sooo much more, but I'm sure you get the point. The experience at Regent when picking up my dolly was the exact opposite . . . incredible. Richie went above and beyond for me & should be congratulated on his high level of service. I'm so disappointed with my OVERALL experience, I will NEVER use UHAUL ever again, or provide money to a company that issues a product like the one I received . . . dirty, low levels of ALL fluids I need to fill myself, paperwork I had to request 2 times, truck documents I could not locate, and a truck I had to clean myself for an hour before using.

You advertise mileage in kilometers but the truck reports it in miles. I felt very misled by the mileage charge.

I have a current situation about being charged over $400.00 without authorization, I have 3 emails in and 2 phone calls to Kristian at the U-Haul on Regent she is a Supervisor and will not take the time to even call me to discuss why I am getting this extra charge. I ma now having to deal with Corporate U-Haul. Do not use U-Haul if this is how they treat their customers. gnre@shaw.ca anyone is welcome to email me on this and I will be happy to let them know what they are doing to me.

The check in process takes too long. We had to wait along time to get the vehicle, even though I used the online "express" check in. Not enough staff to handle the busiest time of the month. Staff was pleasant.

The truck was not safe. There was a significant hydraulic fluid leak which not only left a significant stain only driveway, but also made breaking and turning difficult.

When i returned the U-Haul truck, the power was out in the store so they closed early, I called to ask what to do next and they said someone would call me the next day. Never happened. I called again to ask what I needed to do to finalize the payment, lady from the contact center said I wouldn't need to go in as the bill wasn't finalized but the amount I put down should have been enough to cover the costs. A week later I received a bill saying I owed another 70$, when I called to enquire about it the gentlemen was extremely rude and hung up on me. Definitely not a good experience, wont be renting a U-Haul ever again or recommending it to anyone.

I had called in before I went to get the car dolly that way I knew I was getting one I had even given all my information and credit card that was needed and I got there was helped almost right away the guy hooked up the car dolly to my truck to find out that there was a problem with that one meanwhile some other guy just showed up was given a car dolly even before he had completed the paperwork required he finished his stuff and took off I on the other hand had to wait while they tried to find one that was not broken for me. What really pissed me of was that I had called in before I showed up to make sure that I was getting one and I had to wait. I ended up calling that uhaul place again and the guy that I was talking to called me a "SILLY GIRL" I don't appreciate being talked to like that from someone that works with the public. I would never recommend that place to any of my family or friends

I was told I was bumped down, When I picked up the van that I reserved from 5 pm until 4 pm the next day that I had to have it back by noon the next day. that barley gave me enough time for 1 load and cost me close to $100. I don't think I will rent from your company again, I am disabled and can't take that chance of having to rush and still not get the whole job done. I strained my back because of this and was in a lot of pain for several days after.

I went to pick up a pickup this afternoon and all was very good. I was very satisfied until I received a call that my reservation that I made was ready for 3 pm and if I did not pick it up I would be paying $50. I did not make a reservation I was at the regent store in Winnipeg and requested and received it in person. I did not appreciate that my information was transferred to other locations without my permission. I do want to note that the person who corrected the problem was very pleasant and helpful.

Storage facility is excellent - spotless. Truck rentals - not so much. We were given a truck without a dolly, which was fine as we didn't need it, but then accused, by a really rude employee, of stealing it and told we'd have to pay for it. The manager eventually resolved the issue and apologized but it was a huge hassle.

We didn't realize (or even give any thought) to the fact that the trailer we rented --6x12-- did not have a way to lock the pull-up door. It would be nice for the associate to have given us this heads-up when we booked it. It required an extra trip to the location to purchase an appropriate lock. Otherwise, an excellent experience.

Never use your service again. First time user. Booked weeks ahead of time. Phoned the afternoon before the morning of pickup to confirm. Was told yes everything was fine pickup the next morning. Received a phone call 14 hours before we were to pick it up to tell his sorry...cargo trailer was not available. Previous renters were not going to return the trailer. We were offered a trailer 1 1/2 hours away. Really!! You thinks that's a solution. Was told that they can't make a person return their rental. Uh you have their charge card number. Charge them a punitive late fee for each hour beyond their booking contract! They were not at all concerned about the new customer. So I told them you just lost a customer for life. I've repeated this story to many people and have since learned that this is a common occurrence and many people won't rent from them. Wish I knew that earlier. So for anyone that has to move..remember you will never know for sure if you have your rental until just hours before the move. You can be left with no moving truck at the last minute and believe me they don't care.
