first off , fire the entire staff at this location . both recent experiences were appalling . first i called to ask if a van was available and the lady said sure come on in . i get there and she says they do not have any vans , i explained that i just called and she denied recieving any calls , that i must have called another branch - i step back from the counter and redialed the number from my cell and sure enough it rings on her station and she picks up . i start calling around to other locations for a van and miracously all of a sudden she found one for me as i was walking out the door . REALLY ??!!! - i rented the van from her and it was filthy - inside and out - horrible ride , low air warning on the tires . against my better judgement , i returned 2 weeks later to rent again because of its proximity to my job , made sure to reserve the day before . Ithis rental was worse - dirty inside and out - smelled like cigarettes inside i almost couldnt drive it . i needed to extend my rental one day , and called to tell them and they acknowledged it . 30 minutes later i get a call from them asking why i was late returning . REALLY??!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN !! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! REALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't charge $26 for returning my keys without a contract attached. I returned the truck at 6:50pm and the check-out attendant told me the desk was closed. I then was told to drop the keys in the box. Because I dropped the keys without the contract attached I was charged. Next time I will go to another rental company. Thanks

The worst location I have ever been to. Staff unprofessional and rude. Although the place is huge, no parking is permitted on premises or they will tow it away they say. Other locations let me park the car on premises. Just the worst location in my history of renting from Uhaul. Will not return to this location or maybe even Uhaul at all due to this bad experience. Staff needs to be re-trained, at least to be more courteous and friendly. Paying customers should not have to put up attitudes and rudeness.

Sales person should be more accurate in term of a distance from one U-HAUL to another. For example I was told that the one in DOVER did not have the truck, So I was sent to the one in Newton. According to the sales girls it was just four miles from dove but it end up being twenty four miles. Thus, my mileage exceeded the amount I have already planned. So I ended up payment more than I have planned. Also the Woodside does not carry the read box to the deposit the truck keys. I was uncertain where to place the key. If it wouldn't be for another customer that arrived at the same time I would not have known where to drop the truck Key. Otherwise, I think is a simple process and it was quite easy to accomplish my task. Customer sales were pleasant and courteous. Thank you

The store did not have the proper equipment ordered. The trailer was dirty inside. They also left me to figure out what to do and who to find for the next step. When I first went in I was asked for my license and told to "back down there" to get it. I got there and there was no one around. I backed up to the only trailer in the size I ordered and a worker came out and told me he would hook it up but I had to go buy an adapter. I asked if I was being charged by the day and they said yes I told them I only needed the trailer for one day. I was then told I had to pay for a minimum of 5 days. I was very disappointed in U-haul from start to finish.

I used your online booking site Uhaul.com to reserve a cargo van. I also filled out the Express Check-in portion offered by your website. I setup a pickup time of 8am. This location was way undermanned. There was 1 woman checking everyone in and there were quite a few people waiting at that hour. It took me a half hour to finally get to the customer service rep. She asked me if I would return the van at 12noon since I originally requested 8am. I told her I would return it at 1230pm. She said it would be an extra charge because the rental at 19.95 is for 4hrs. I asked her what time is it now. She then says, "oh okay, 1230pm. I am a travel agent and understand things pertaining to rentals and express checking apparently had another meaning for the lady at the desk. All of the info I typed into your express checkin option online was not showing in her computer. She needed my driver's license number which your webpage asked for. She asked me where I would be dropping it off. Again, I told her it is in the system because I did express check in. She tells me, well I don't have it in my system. And it went on and on like this for 15min. I had my move well timed out thinking worst case scenario, I would be sitting in the van on my way 15 or 20mins after the hour. I did not pull out of this Uhaul location until 8:55am regardless of what the receipt says. I had to wait on one of the two people working the yard. The vehicles were parked in disarray. I then had to wait until vehicles were moved out of the way just so I could get out of the yard. I was suppose to meet my new landlord at 9am EST, but here I am having to get to my apartment, to load the van and then got to the new apartment extremely late. This left the landlord with a bad impression right off the bat. This place needs an overhaul or they need to hire more hands on deck. You also need to find out why my express check-in information did not transfer over to this locations computers. This above all left me so frustrated so frustrated. They didn't even offer an apology for not having my so called " express checkin", information in their system. If you offer express checkin, then that's what the costumer expects. This is false advertisement, and I'm inclined to take this issue to another level. The fact that I left my new landlord with a negative impression can be considered defamation. I will never recommend anyone rent from this location and their nonchalant attitude. Gil Ramos 646-520-7170 a.k.a extremely unhappy customer

The overnight drop off for the vehicle's keys need to be better secured. When I dropped off my keys, I heard them hit the ground. To my surprise, I bent down and was able to see my keys along with two other returned keys from the bottom of the door. There was about 1/2 inch gap. I was able to use a wire twine to push the keys in further to prevent any fraudulent attempt at getting at those keys. I was going to inform U-Haul today, but this e-mail reached me on time. I guess you are so busy that the compartment overflowed with returns.

It was pouring rain when we dropped the the truck off and the attendant didn't have us move the truck under the tent he did the check list and had us waiting in the rain. Would've been nice to be under the cover where the truck before us was checked in.

I reserved the truck for a 9 AM pickup, and asked to have it the entire day. But just 3 hours after I picked up the vehicle, I began receiving phone calls from Uhaul asking if I was on my way back with it already, and telling me that I was late with the vehicle. I think this was outrageous, and seemed like an attempt to find an excuse to charge me more money. I felt that this was very bad customer service.

Location and workers were nice however it seemed understaffed. Waiting in line after returning truck for 30 minutes to submit paperwork is really unacceptable after a long tiresome move. No sense of urgency to assist customers is disappointing.
