Tressa B | Overall ExperienceThe storage container we rented was not clean when we moved in and I borrowed a broom from them to sweep it out. It was in very good condition inside though. The containers were not set on level well prepared ground and the yard needs some bobcat work and additional gravel to fill substantial holes etc. the staff were very accommodating and friendly with our infrequent off-hours visits. The yard appears well fenced and secure, but I recommend that some yard work and prep would enhance a customers opinion of the facility. I had no significant issues and no issue with offering a positive opinion of the facility. I do have an opinion however of what could be done to turn it into a very nice facility.
mike k | Overall ExperienceI booked the unit well in advance and paid a $20 fee to hold the reservation. The day I arrived the office was unaware I had a booking until they looked me up in their computer. The promptly issued me a unit and then had to leave to run some personal errands. (just one lady in the office). I opened the unit door to find three pieces of large furniture, a huge oil stain/puddle in one corner and the unit coated in saw dust. I went to report this to the office but no one was there. I did not have a broom so I scrounged for some cardboard in the yard to cover the oil and I moved the furniture into the driving lane outside the unit. I did my best, using my foot, to sweep as much saw dust out of the unit. I stored my items and immediately reported this issue via email with no response to date. A few weeks later I came to the unit to retrieve some items and found rodents had chewed through about half my boxes. I took pictures and emailed the office again telling them they never told me their facility was infested with rodents. Again, no response to date. I cancelled my unit and moved my belongings to a cleaner more sanitary facility. I am in the process of going through each box and itemizing all the damage from rodents. I intend on presenting the damaged items to East Side Storage for replacement/compensation. East Side Storage's storage agreement says they are not responsible for damage, however, they never informed me of their rodent problem. I can understand something out of their control, such as flood or fire, but rodents are definitely controllable. I'll update this post once I receive comments from East Side Storage. At this point in time I cannot recommend them at all. The main reason I booked a unit there was because of Uhaul's endorsement. Uhaul needs to visit the facility and complete a review/inspection to determine if East Side Storage is meeting Uhaul's standards. In my opinion, they aren't at the moment.
Darrin B | Overall ExperienceI used Airdrie East Side for 4.5 years and I had no trouble at all, in fact, Airdrie bent over backwards to accommodate me. I will use this storage facility in the future without doubt. I am perfectly satisfied.

Of operation varied upon the schedule of the people running the office.very frustrating!! My unit created mold on all of my boxes which in turn created a huge problem for me.There response was that containers don’t leak and it was my problem.I could hardly wait to get out of there and would not recommend this business to anyone.

The manager of the store called and messaged me multiple times to ask me to pay everything first before we go to the place to check it without disclosing any terms and conditions. Because I TRUSTED UHUAL SO I DECIDED TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION BEFORE WE WENT TO SEE THE PLACE. When we arrived the storage at 9 am as the same on my reservation and the manager told us as the operation time. there is nobody and the gate is locked. So we had to call the manager and she told us that the operation time is 9:30 am - 5 pm which is different with 9 - 6 as we were informed before. And then, we waited extra 40 mins just in front of the gate but still no one came. We were no longer want to have business with this merchant cuz there is no record for the guy who came later than at least 9.40 to check our appointment. WE REQUEST A REFUND AND THE MANAGER REFUSED IT AND HUNG US UP WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION MULTIPLE TIMES AND INPOLITE. I don't want to book any storage service with you anymore since your system is not trustworthy.

And when uhaul took a deposit and this facility didn’t honour that and uhaul didn’t even have the decency to return my calls to refund my money. I’m beyond unimpressed with this situation and I will never recommend this facility to anyone in my life.

Uhaul owes me not only an apology but a refund for what I paid them and the facility refused to take into account. I am a long time customer I spend a lot of money and today has made me want to find a new option for all my needs.

If you use storage and forget about it it would be fine. Lighting have no clue closed before dark
