As it was the end of the month, I ended up standing in line for almost 90 minutes to pick up the trailer. I understand you cannot staff for a short term event but it was frustrating. If there is someway to input all your information on line and have an express line setup so all a person would need to do is show up, swipe the credit card, sign the agreement and be on their way - that would be helpful.

They called 4 times (left one voicemail message) AND texted 4 times regarding the drop-off location on the day I was moving. This was especially frustrating given that I had requested a drop off location in a different part of the city. On the morning of drop-off there was a very long line in the store, with only two people working - both of whom were standing at the same till and calling into a central help line. I went outside and had to hunt someone down to do the inspection of the truck I was returning, and he then sent me back into the store to stand in the long line again. I eventually walked to the front of the line and just handed the person at the till the form and keys - something that they should have just offered to me outside. It was a ridiculous and frustrating experience. Never again.

I made a reservation in Leduc for a 17' truck. 2 days before my move I received a call saying the truck size i wanted was not available (my only option was a 26' truck) and that they changed my pick up location to a place far from where I wanted to pick up the truck. The actual location was not bad since they offered me an a 14' truck (which was tight but better than the 26'). However I had to drive out and them come back to the city, waste of my time. If I have an option I will never use uhaul again, there is no serious business here, moving is already stressful but you guys made it worst.

Don't tell me the reservation is going to be at one location when I get a confirmation and then change the location to across the entire city. Also, when the customer tells you that they are leaving town, make sure you tell them that the price they are going to pay is MORE THAN DOUBLE what was quoted originally.

I stood in line for 45 minutes on Saturday Auguest 6, 2014 from 850 am to 935 am with about 4 people in front of me. There was a black man that was the only knowledgeable one there and had to handle the problems of his coworkers as well as his own (including on how to work their computer). The other two were completely incompetent at their jobs and had troubles running the computers. I was not told I needed to bring back the white piece of paper when bringing the truck back. because of the two incompetent workers at that time, I now know that the time I could waste standing in that line could be utilized looking for another rental company.

Even though there was a line up in the morning, the staff advised way the line up (short staffed - sickness) and was very pleasant. In the evening upon returning of the truck, Majd and Raida were very professional, enjoyable. Thank you for the truck and the staff. Terry

Absolutely terrible customer service. Arrived at 845am on Saturday morning (August 9th) to pick up my 14' truck. Staff was not prepared to deal with the weekend morning rush. The 2 individuals behind the counter were extremely incompetent, especially the middle aged Individual wearing a ball cap. He had no idea how to sign out a truck to the customer. When I dropped off my truck afterwards he was at the counter but ignored me with a blank look on his face. He then proceeded outside to wander around aimlessly while there were customers to be served. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. In fact I was embarrassed for this Uhaul employee. I will never go back to this location, in fact next time I will spend the extra $100 to rent from Budget next door. My only regret is that I did not get the name of this employee to be able to properly identify him.

Already sent via main site but here you go again. . . . . What was already a stressful day was made worse by your organization. I will try to be as brief as possible about how your company was a pain and not a help All problems need to be addressed but especially the first and final ones. a) your auto google map notification sent us to the wrong U-Haul location b) someone had screwed the people before us at the right location's order so we had to stand around for 20 minutes awaiting to get your truck c) the appliance dolly my son ordered wasn't there so back to original / wrong location to get just a dolly after we did all the paperwork to get the truck (delayed further by 3 calls by idiots calling on Aug 1 to rent a truck instead of reserving one beforehand not your fault by a delay none the less) d) what follows is THE FINAL STRAW that prompted this complaint - this location (first/wrong one) is empty with 3 employees and employee #1 had to have known we were coming back a 2nd time (my son is 6'4", with both arms covered in tattoos, ears stretched to 1 inch with black plugs, a 9 inch long full Viking type beard, and a tattoo on the back of his shaved head, he doesn't blend in) but instead of helping us herself and getting us on our way (finally) she sent us to employee #3. #3's name is Emmanuel N'Guessan - his paper nametag screamed NEW and on top of new add that this fellow is not fluent in English. What should have been a 3 minute maximum transaction to get the dolly stretched well into 15 minutes. First Emmanuel greeted me briefly but then started talking about having problems checking in a dolly from the previous day with employee #2, after about a minute of this I interrupted and stated unless this is directly effecting us picking up our dolly could you please discuss this later. Emmanuel returned to me. Then the painstaking process began - he couldn't understand what I wanted because I said a utility dolly or whatever you call it - I also told him I was quoted $10 when I called from the other location to make sure they had one available (eventually #2 helped after he struggled for about 1 minute to understand) ,I had to spell my street name 4 times, he didn't know that saying eighteen eighteen meant my street address was 1818 were just 3 things that made it slow. Then add that #2 instead of paying attention to what Emmanuel was doing to offer assistance and speed things up NO she was obviously on the internet looking for a new place to live as she yapped about the listings she was looking at on her screen so distracting Emmanuel instead of helping him. So I don't want Emmanuel talked to about his struggles just that he should have waited to talk about the other transaction. I DO want employees #1 and #2 spoken to. #1 should have served us herself when she knew about our previous delays already. #2 should have been listening to and observing Emmanuel to train him better not be searching the inter

I ordered a truck and a vehicle trailer for 24 hours. I called in the morning to confirm that everything was ready and that there would be no problems when we arrived. When we arrived they didn't have the truck or the vehicle trailer, no one had any solutions for us except that we should go to the south side location (basically as far across the city as you could go and still be in Edmonton) and pick one up there. Unfortunately I actually couldn't go to the southside (I had taken a cab and didn't have the money/time to take another one all the way across the city. We ultimately took a truck that had to be back by 4:30 even though we knew we wouldn't be back by then and paying an additional 50$ (thanks Uhaul btw I totally had 50$ to spare). We also just bought a towing bar (another 110$ plus lights etc). Even though we suggested that they have someone bring the truck from the southside to the northside for the next customer (and to save us 50$) they said they wouldn't (because they couldn't spare the employees that long). So to recap... I ordered a truck online, confirmed in the morning before I left my house that everything was ok. Arrived at the store where absolutely no attempt was made to rectify the situation and had to give UHaul extra money for their mistake. I think you will agree that I would be an idiot to recommend this to a friend (maybe an enemy though). the only nice thing I can say about this entire train wreck was that the front desk clerk was very nice (you should probably give her a freaking medal ... or better yet, more money because I don't think I could do her shitty job).

Very busy at check in all the time. Is there a way to streamline any of the processes? Perhaps customers could take a number (for their turn) then self fill some of the paper work. This would also allow them to browse in the store rather than wait in line. May increase sales of some of the smaller stuff in the store???

Booked a 26 foot truck begining of the month.. Went to pick it up 9am end of the month.. They didn't have anything for me.. Ended up getting a cargo van for a 4bdrm house move at 1PM when I had to be out my house by 12noon!! This was the worse the most disgusting first time service I have ever been through.. Is have to say I will never do service with uhaul ever again.. And if anyone asks this will be the story! Cannot depend on them make sure you book it else where !!

Some issues with truck. Fuel gauge stuck at full position. Park brake light wouldnt turn off. Had to hold signal when turning. Would not stay on on own. Just issues with vehicle maintenance. Engine sounded pretty worn out. Like belt was loose. Otherwise I was relieved when the truck didnt die on me when I dropped it off. Store awesome. Nice staff.
