I had a reservation for a pickup truck to tow a trailer. I called day before to make sure reservation was still valid. I showed up at the west end edmonton location 15 minutes early and the truck wasnt avaiable yet. I waited for an hour and a half with little to no customer support. The staff was not helpfull and the service was disgusting. This was one of the worst customer expierances I've ever had. Before the store closed I asked what is next steps and they said to show up at 7am and maybe the truck might be back. The staff at the location seemed to have very little expierance with the computer systems and didn't act professional in any manner. I called into the customer support line 1-800-go-uhaul and after speaking with a service rep the call dropped or they put me on hold and never got back to me. I called again and spoke to a different rep that was helpful and gave me an 866-255-8631 number to call at 7am local time. As you can tell I am extremely frustrated with the service uhaul has provided me thus far.I might potentially not get the truck that i was suppose to recieve (order #21818415) and will now have to potentially cancel plans that where made over a month in advance with a cost for not being able to tow with the truck we ordered. If anyone wants to call i can be reached at 780-418-1387 home, cell 587-983-5840 or email gary.maidens@ledcor.com Hope to hear back to someone, i have another reservation in August that I don't have much faith in anymore.

My reserved storage locker was a hassle. It took 4 different people and multiple errors until it was finally sorted. I had also asked for my uhaul reservation to be for 48hrs. I asked for this when I booked, when I picked up the uhaul, I called uhaul again that afternoon, and then once again the next day. Not one of these times did someone update it. I normally don't fill these out but I had a terrible experience unfortunately the last day and a half.

Customer service and staffing is obviously a low priority for uhaul. It's really too bad that there weren't enough people to help later on in the day causing some irate customers. I had to wait over 40 minutes in line and there were multiple staff walking in and out of the store. I ended up going to the other uhaul (50 st) and waited 25 minutes to rent utility dollies. While I was there the manager was having a conversation on the phone the whole time about employee issues he's having. This was very unprofessional and not appropriate considering the whole line listened to this conversation. If your company focused on customer service he would have waited until there was no line to have the long conversation on the phone. I value customer service and this has made me look for other rental companies in the future.

Customer Service needs a lot of attention. Employees chatting to each other and not acknowledging the customers. Then giving us attitude bc I wasn't pleased that I was being ignored. I will be going back to Budget next time I need a truck and I won't be back. Thanks

Preface "I was renting a 15ft truck and tow dolly for a 2200 mile move from Edmonton, Alberta to Toronto Ontario."The 15ft truck I was provided with was dirty, most notably the front windshield, which in my opinion is not right and person I complained to showed no concern in the least. Secondly, the tow dolly was connected to the truck but when I went to check to make sure the lights were working found they were not. In my opinion, U-Haul staff should confirm with the renter that trailer is hooked up properly to the truck and that all lights are working properly. To sum it up I left with feeling that the staff I dealt with at this location had a "I don't care attitude" and I was pain in the ass. I don't think I was unreasonable in my expectations, for that reason I will not recommend this location.

We were recommended to load our moving truck before picking up our car dolly from a different location across town. Our move was from Edmoton to Vancouver (12-14 hours) and our truck was not electrically capable to tow our car. Our two options were to unpack our 17' moving truck, that we spent $400 having professional movers load, and put our things into an alt truck at 7:30 pm before our drive... Or leave our car in Edmonton. We chose the latter but as a result we will have to fly to Edmonton and drive my car back over a 1000km. We are very disappointed with our truck as the drive was stressful due to our stearing being easily swayed with the smallest movement of the wheel or the road... Something was definitely wrong with the stearing. Our past experiences have always been good with uhaul, however this move was stressful, expensive and the mechanical problems are avoidable with proper inspection practices.

I was able to rent a 9' cargo van within 3 hours. Price and customer service was excellent, BUT, van smelled very bad, specifically smelled like urine. Dog or cat, I don't know. May have been from previous user. Had to keep the windows down all the time. I am pretty laid back, a welder, used to getting dirty, so I didn't care. But I think most people would. Needs to be cleaned. Moved a washer and dryer no problem. Other then that, everything went fine. Return with receipt took less then 2 minutes. Had someone take my info and print my receipt faster then I could get out of the vehicle.

I specifically asked for a 5 tonne truck and was not given one. I was provided a 17' truck which is quite a bit smaller causing me to make more trips than I should have had to.

The trailer I got was older, the floor was a little warped, and it was a bit dirty inside. The decal on the side of it was sun faded, and cracked, and didn't look the best it could have. There was also an obvious hole in the roof of the trailer. I cleaned it thoroughly so the next guy wouldn't have to, and to avoid an extra charge. Little details is what makes the difference. Hopefully the next trailer I rent will be better looked after.

The truck is getting long in the tooth. While the box is clean and in great shape, the engine makes a racket and runs a bit rough. The gas engine appears to have 140,000 miles (225,000 km) on it, and sounds like it. Quite annoying over a 13 hour drive.
