Was quoted a rate online (which I confirmed over the phone) which was not honored when I arrived. Very odd experience. The staff said they would honor the quoted rate once discussed at pick-up only to bill me for the worse rate after I dropped off the van after hours. Customer service needs improving.

I was rather upset that I was called a few days before my rental and told that I could not have the truck for 24 hours as promised. I did feel that the associate that contacted me was rude and bullying as she said they would cancel my reservation if I did not agree to bring it back earlier than promised. The truck I had was good and as well as the pick up and drop off experience was good. You may want to find some better staff to make your advance pick up calls.

I have to mention Kyla Aoger, she went extra miles to help me. This is out of my expectation.

You must have a designated staff member to shunt the trucks and trailers around. We witnessed a parking lot collision and 2 heated arguments while returning the trailer we rented. It was a colossal cluster mix up in the 20 minutes we were there. Traffic pattern flow / return/ puck really needs improving. Having said that.... I LOVE U-HAUL!!!

I booked my rental online and added a utility dolley to the the order for $7. When I received the truck, there was a uitility dolley and Furniture Pads in the truck, zip tied to the side with a sign informing me if I broke the seal I would be charged $10 for the rental. I asked the location if I could move these as I had already paid for a Utility dolly. I was informed the only way to move them was to pay for them. I was forced to move with the dolly and bag of pads in the way. Next time I rent, I would like the option to remove the dolley so it does not impede my move. Or be informed that there is already a Dolley in the truck, so I do not rent a seperate dolley.

The power steering was an issue when backing up and steering. I had to press the gas pedal to turn the wheel when backing up. This truck should be serviced.

The employees had no sense of urgency when assisting customers. 3 customers waited in line, 3 employees were working. 1 was busy with a customer the other two made no effort to assist the customer in line until approached. Very poor service.

If people don't like their jobs or are having a bad day, it shows and affects customer service. Some customers are on a time line and your staff should respect that.

I waited over an hour to pick up a car dolley that I called ahead and booked a pick up time and they kept me there saying I need to wait for them to put a license plate on it before I take it then after an hour they just said go ahead with no plate. I asked for a discount on the bill be cause it was a scheduled pick up and at the time they said yes to a discount and my credit card would be credited upon return, which it was not, I was still charged full cost for only having the dolly for 3 hours.

Great staff! Went in on Friday to get a wardrobe box. Very busy, staff were efficient and not stressed out. No one likes waiting, music would help of local radio station playing. Your survey questions are extremely limited and have no focus.

This location was good enough to provide me a trailer after the original location I reserved one at didn't have any. Not sure what the point of online reservations and confirmation numbers are if the unit is not at the location to begin with.

- get all that crap away from the counters so the staff can see who is next in line. The space is too cramped, and I am too busy talking to the counter person to notice all the stuff stacked in there.

The equipment I booked weeks ago was not available. I waited approximately 45 min in line to get a smaller vehicle as the other one was broken. There was a girl who was free to help me at a desk eating Pringles and took a "break" from helping me as another employee a male was 2 hours late for shift. Two employees were discussing another client that was driving in some form without proper license/insurance etc as one employee said to another not our problem if they get caught. When I returned the truck I was told i was going to be charged 9 dollars for the gas being a millimeter under the 3/4 mark when thats where it was when i picked it up as well as the mileage was approximated below where it was when i got it and was charged the extra mileage. My mom who passed away last weekend, whose stuff we were moving had her license plate stolen while we were parked across the street. Some of the staff was friendly enough. There was one in particular that was actually nice and friendly and really the only person who actually seemed to care about me being more than a customer. .

If you want to improve your customer experience, I recommend you actually have the equipment your customers reserved weeks in advance available when your customer arrives. Customers expect a business of your size to be competent and trustworthy, but apparently uHaul is neither. In the future, I will rent equipment from a business that is willing and able to honour their reservations.

First of all the entire experience was stressful. I booked a 26 ft for 900am for my moving day. They changed the booking to 1:30pm. After that they called and told me the truck was not available and suggested I go to the North East to pick-up. Not accesptable as I live in West Edmonton and moving 2 blocks away. I complained stating that I am not paying for mileage and fuel from the North East. I got another call stating go to the west end where I made my original booking and they have a 17ft truck. I got there and yet again not available downgraded to a 15ft which they almost gave away while I was waiting to be served. Many other customers were there with the same issues. Some were so disappointed and didn't even get a truck. This day was poor service. 2 Downgrades and change of time for a booking I made in advance. IF you is having trouble with their trucks being stolen which Is the explanation I was given then perhaps you need to up your security and have gps installed in your trucks rather than have lots of disappointed customers.

Only issue was with the vehicle; smelled like it had been smoked in, and handled like I was driving on ice

At first they told 2 days before my move that the truck I reserved was unavailable at the time I reserved it for. After telling them that was not acceptable they said they would see what they could do and call me back. No one called me back but on calling the next day I was told it was a go. The people I talked to on the phone were border line rude and not very helpful however the staff working the day I picked up my reserved truck were all really great and friendly, and the truck I reserved was there so that was a bit of a saving grace. Over all I am not disatisfied although there were a few hiccups. The truck I had didn't run very well and was hard to start. The transmission didn't catch gear very easily and there was a lot of lurching but it moved my stuff so can't complain too much :)

I have rented a storage unit for the past three years. Yesterday I showed up at the location on 154 ave west Edmonton for the first time in those three years. My lights in my section didn't work. So I went to the front desk to ask for assistance. There I was told that I had to go look for a person on the property for help. Because the lady didn't know how to get ahold of her and there was no radio or intercom. So upon searching for a person that I didn't know and couldn't find. I decided that I would just rent a trailer and move my stuff. I reserved a trailer and was told I would get a phone call in a hour. Two hours later I called and was told they were still waiting. Three hours later I went back to my storage unit and asked if I could rent a can or truck. The woman at the from desk. Named Angela Leblanc. Was extreamly rude. Swore at me. And told me there was nothing for me to rent. So I went to my car in the parking lot and reserved a van from the same place as my unit. Even after I was told there was nothing to rent. I walked back in and asked why they treated me like that. And that woman told me it was her last day and she didn't care what I thought and started swearing at me again in front of other workers and customers. A black mechanic came to the front and also started cussing at her and me and then threatened to take my rental away. Which I said he could do so if he wished. Which he didn't. I asked for the manager. And all employees refused to give me the managers name and information. Today I returned the rental van and was treated poorly by new staff also. Uhaul has to be the worst experience I have ever had and I would never use this company again and will always from now on refuse to give any type of referral to.
