Really bad service Waites 45 min to get hooked up then had to hook my own self up and had to wait 25 min to drop off then did it myself again was not in pressed at all

I am not one for writing reviews but my latest experience was awful. To keep this short the staff were poorly trained and lacked any sort of organization. In fairness their computers crashed for a while to add to the misery. Poor training, lack of experience also was most likely the reason the hitch was not tightened to my car, had I not noticed it could have cause some damage to my vehicle.

Make sure you know the exact procedure when they bring out your vehicle. The employee who brought out mine simply parked it and walked back into the store leaving me to, I assume, do the walk around myself. I had to go back into the store to ask if I needed to do anything else. When I did finally get underway the windows and mirrors were so dirty I had to stop at a gas station to clean them. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with U-haul... Next time I will go with the Driving Forces

I was stuck at gasoline station because the battery is dead. This guy whom i called keep on asking me a lot of question thoug i said the battery is dead.pls advice this emergency number instead of dealing with lot of question will they reapond immidiaty. And pls before they let us rent your vehicle make sure its well maintain.

When I arrived at 11721 83rd Ave, they looked in their system and found two units that were open, however when I when I went to check they was locks on the storage units. The agent at that location was Gaganpreet and she apologized many times to me, told me that she was new which I understood and try to help me and finally found a unit with a lock on it, calling her supervisors to help her figure out how to unlock it and got me the unit. I would like to give her my much appreciation for her extra efforts in helping me out in finally getting me settled in Edmonton. Even though it cost me an extra day in charges and mileage for the runaround between the two branches. Please do send my appreciation to her because she was a big help.

Very slow service. I waited a long time to receive my uhaul, and when I did nobody took me out to show me the truck or how the trailer dolly works. Overall very poor customer service!

I did not have a very happy experience at this uhaul location. There were unhappy customers ahead of me in line, since there was much confusion with their reservation, and then it took much too long to get me on my way, as well... After they were all gone. I had to provide my personal information to the staff over and over again, as they tried to process my reservation. more training is necessary for the local staff, who handle the reservations people have made. The software need to be simplified further for the staff, for them to be able to handle customers efficiently and effectively. Customers like myself want to efficiently step into the uhaul centre....provide our last name or reservation number....swipe our credit cards....and be gone with our truck keys and other equipment. People moving to new residences have time sensative appointments to keep.... Meet with landlords, meet with helpers, etc. One person at this location knew how to get things done, eventually. But everyone else were useless. Train em up.... Or shut it down, thats my advice. I hope to see significant improvements in the future.

I was looking for a truck on the south side as you charge per km and all i was able to Reserve was a truck and dolly for the 50th st location. I was told on the phone that they would call me that morning to set up an appointment and when I didn't get a call I phoned and found out that the truck was on the west end, approx 25 kms out of my way. They were able to add kms free of charge but I never got the furniture dolly and didn't have time to go back.

When you confirm a location for pickup, have the equipment available at that location. Moving is a very stressful time in life, and last minute changes can really throw a wrench into even the most prepared individuals plans. Have service representatives trained to be more informative and helpful with hook ups of towing equipment- not everyone knows how to do this, and that does not make them an idiot.

I had to line up twice to get a rental, the first lady could not hook-up or un-hook the trailer , there should be a sign to explain the procedure on the wall.

You might consider having one till open for customers who have used the online express check-in. We had to wait 30 minutes in line when we picked up our vehicle, which ate into the time the vehicle was available to us.

Manager was quite rude. I was dealing with another person. He asked for my licence number. I did not know it. The vehicle was parked just outside an inside door. He went out to get. She pointed out to me that it was not their job to get it, it was mine. The was another unhappy customer in front of me. When she left, the manager talked bad about the customer and told the girl working to ask the customer to leave next time if they use profanity. Not something to be said.

The service we recieved at the location was very poor and unorganized. The staff seemed very confused and gave us inconsistent and inaccurate information. Some of the staff were still in training and there was no one there to really assist them. They should not have been able to be helping customers yet as it created a lot of misinformation. I think the biggest problem was inconsistency. This was our first time using Uhaul and our first ever move and it certainly didn't make the moving experience any less stressful. Equipment however was in good condition and easy to maneuver. So that's a good thing.

1. The equipment, a trailer was booked for pickup at a location near my home for use within a 8 Km radius of the pickup location. When I went to pick up the trailer, I was informed that the trailer was at a different location across town and I was told if I wanted it, I would have to go to the trailer since u-haul would NOT be bringing the trailer to the booked location (20 Km one way away and something like 40 minutes of driving time). Any schedule that I hoped to maintain and appointments booked based on u-hauls promise to have a trailer at the location required when booked has now gone out the window. Informed that nothing can or will be done at the original booking location and if I still wanted the trailer (which I would not have booked if I had not needed it) I would have to go to the new location. 2. After going to pick up the trailer I was informed that the only location that the trailer could be returned is the pickup location another unnecessary round trip across the city. 3. Manager at the pickup location informed me me that it was company policy that I must use installed trailer lights instead of my own magnetic mount lights (wired for my tow vehicle) therefore requiring me to purchase an adapter. When asked her to show me the policy stating this, I was told I would have to attend u-haul university in the states to get this information, no information would be forthcoming and if I was not happy I was invited to leave. Again the trailer was necessary (I was over the proverbial barrel and the manager knew it) so purchase of an adapter was done. 4. Indifference of management, the inability to change drop off locations within the same city, due to booking changes made without the customers knowledge or acceptance, (either because of company policy or lack of knowledge or just plainly did not want to be bothered) shows a major lack of customer service. 5. A fifty dollar credit (due to not having the trailer at the booked location) was only offered after two cross town trips, extra cost for an unneeded (in my opinion) adapter and approximately half an hour on the phone trying to find out who changed the booking location, when it was changed, and why. No answers were ever forthcoming from the booking people, seems like they did not have the answers either. The credit was the best they could do, but it should have been offered when the problem first came to light not after hours of frustration. The people dealing or not dealing either my request to drop this trailer at the original location instead of the pickup location would not even entertain this thought, informed me that this was company policy and that I would be charged extra fees for dropping it off at another location. Asked to see this policy, both in the pickup location and later over the phone, I was informed in a very condescending manner that this was not going to happen. I got the feeling that I should be happy with the credit, go away and quit botheri

I was very impressed with the customer service. There was an issue with my reservation and the woman helping me solved it, and was very helpful overall.
