Service was extremely slow. It took over an hour for us to get our registration, when there were only 3 other customers in the store. The clerk was brand new, and had little to no support in making the transactions, which slowed things considerably. Also, no one seemed to be communicating: we were told to go out to get the trailer attached, but when we did the attendant didn't know what he was suppose to be attaching, which delayed us further. Then, after losing over an hour to waiting in line, we had to bring the trailer back in just 5 hours? That is not a day rental. I will not be using uhaul again.

I had decided I would NEVER use uhaul again but the general manager Ladeen changed my mind with her warm honest caring apology. She is what you need at all your locations. NOT the 5 lazy young men hanging outin the office at the Surrey location

I originally booked a 26' truck for 10am ahead of time for my move and booked movers to start at 11am. I was supposed to pick up my truck at the Northside location on 50th Street. When I arrived, they did not have the truck I reserved. The only thing they could suggest was using a smaller truck and a trailer from a Uhaul location on the west end of town that was not available until 2 hours later. Because of this, I had to make more than one trip with my movers and had to pay them for two extra hours. The Uhaul location on the northside caused my a lot of stress, extra driving around, and extra money. I had to fight with the counter person to get any kind of discount or help at all. The location on the West end was a bit more helpful and friendly, although they had problems with their computer system. I also had to be firm about receiving the discount I was promised by the North end Uhaul. Honestly, after all the stress, the lost time, and the extra moving costs with this experience, I'm not sure about using Uhaul again. After I shared my experience with my friends, I have heard from numerous people about reservations not being honored. I certainly don't trust anymore that if I reserve a vehicle, that it will be there when I go to pick it up.

line up to pick up trailer(1/2 hr), line up to return trailer(3/4 hr) Person who helped me was incompetent(did not know how to use a computer and appeared to have very little training.The trailer was rented at the west end location but was not notified there were none available

This was not supposed to be my pick up location, our truck was given away by "Traffic" and I was told I would have a $50.00 credit for a reservation guarantee and I did not. I had to go almost 70 km's out of my way to get this truck because the other locations' truck was broken. Not satisfied at all with the service this last time. Would not recommend Uhaul.

the staff were exceptional and very helpful EXCEPT KELVIN . after waiting a extra day to get my truck he made the situation very awkward and did not give me the $50 on time guarantee. he did not follow supervisors instruction etc. i was very disgusted with the whole situation.

When we first arrived to pick up our rental we were quite surprised. Never have I seen an attendant less motivated in my entire life. Had he just woken up? Or was he being forced to cover someone else s shift? What ever the reason, the process to pick up the rental was made unpleasant and nearly impossible since he could not muster the energy to articulate and speak up. Second problem : why, was the truck not fueled up? Look, if we rent a truck and we're expected to bring it back with the same amount of fuel don't give us a truck that's three quarters empty. We would of have to have gone to the station twice (once to get enough fuel, the second to bring it to level at the end of the job). What is this? some sort of scam to get more km out of your clients? To be honest, the staff was very nice when we dropped off the truck but because of the previously mentioned issues I will recommend people use another service or location.

We rented a furniture dolly and a utility dolly along with our truck. When we got to our destination they were not in the truck. We had several very heavy items to move that we really could have used them for. One of our friends helping us move is a professional truck driver and pointed out that the passenger side rear wheel had an obvious leak, most likely an axel seal leak which had sprayed oil all over the wheel rim. This would have seriously affected the performance of the brakes. We were lucky and nothing happened but overall I was not very impressed with our experience. I doubt I will use UHaul again.

Staff was unable to change a simple ball hitch in order to attach the trailer to the truck. The manager was extremely rude ti the staff in front of me, you dont yell and berate staff in front of customer, never!!

booked the trailor for pu at 51 ave location o/a the trailor is not available have to go to west end this could have been noted at time of booking trailor available where save me an hr as well as the 111 ave crew were polite and took care of business while the manager at 51 ave is oh well you preferred to pu here but its not here so go else where not very accomadating

As it was the end of the month, I ended up standing in line for almost 90 minutes to pick up the trailer. I understand you cannot staff for a short term event but it was frustrating. If there is someway to input all your information on line and have an express line setup so all a person would need to do is show up, swipe the credit card, sign the agreement and be on their way - that would be helpful.

They called 4 times (left one voicemail message) AND texted 4 times regarding the drop-off location on the day I was moving. This was especially frustrating given that I had requested a drop off location in a different part of the city. On the morning of drop-off there was a very long line in the store, with only two people working - both of whom were standing at the same till and calling into a central help line. I went outside and had to hunt someone down to do the inspection of the truck I was returning, and he then sent me back into the store to stand in the long line again. I eventually walked to the front of the line and just handed the person at the till the form and keys - something that they should have just offered to me outside. It was a ridiculous and frustrating experience. Never again.

I made a reservation in Leduc for a 17' truck. 2 days before my move I received a call saying the truck size i wanted was not available (my only option was a 26' truck) and that they changed my pick up location to a place far from where I wanted to pick up the truck. The actual location was not bad since they offered me an a 14' truck (which was tight but better than the 26'). However I had to drive out and them come back to the city, waste of my time. If I have an option I will never use uhaul again, there is no serious business here, moving is already stressful but you guys made it worst.

Don't tell me the reservation is going to be at one location when I get a confirmation and then change the location to across the entire city. Also, when the customer tells you that they are leaving town, make sure you tell them that the price they are going to pay is MORE THAN DOUBLE what was quoted originally.
