A number of ideas to consider regarding reservations, fees, etc.: Firstly, the daily rate of $19.95 is very misleading from a customer perspective. I paid nearly $133 (including personally filling 5 gallons of gas) to use a truck for 4 hours. I really needed it at the time, so I was willing to pay. But in the future I will consider using Zip Car or another service that offers pick-ups at a much cheaper rate for 4 hours. I thought I was going to get the car for 24 hours. But I was told I needed to bring it back same-day. Since my reservation was for 12pm, I was told I needed to bring it back by 4pm that day. So I had to rush to get my task done. Having mileage and gas on top of the daily rate plus reservation fee set me way over budget. I will not consider using UHaul in the future due to cost. Additionally, I submitted a reservation online. However, most questions, including addresses, credit cards numbers, rates, and fees were all redone in person at the facility. I find that very duplicative and required me to be onsite at the rental facility for nearly 20 minutes. The quality of the vehicle was great. It was like new. The staff was professional, but very, very busy and wasn't able to answer addtional service questions. I was curious about hitches for my car. I was told I would need to come back to talk about them.

The people in the store were nice. The truck I got was not up to standards. I have used uhaul before and I understand there can be scratches and dents from normal usage but the truck I got was in terrible shape. Looked like those little x stickers were holding the truck together and there was graffiti on the one side. I was embarrassed to drive it through my neighborhood.

The staff was friendly and professional. The two complaints that keep me from using this location agean is the parking. I rented a truck for a day but this location has 0 customer parking and I had to park on the street around the corner. Not a very good practice when someone is by themself... The 2nd problem is not a location problem but a $ issue. I used the truck for a delivery of 2 pallets to Portland OR and back and it was $.99 a mile, Over all with gas and such the Rental was $660 for a total of 10 hours. I would use your trucks a lot more often if it wasn't for this huge cost. Thank you for your time.

It all went very well. Some things, such as wait time, cannoot be fixed as more customers mean more time to wait. Overall a very good experience as it fit very well with our schedule

The MLK location was great - Ryan in particular was very helpful, friendly, and knew exactly what was going on. He was the only competent uhaul employee we interacted with all day. Initially, we were supposed to pick up a 9 foot cargo van from the location on 5th ave in magnolia from 1 pm to 7 pm. Then, someone called to say that that van wasn't available, but that one was available at the MLK location at 2:30. Ten minutes later they called back to say that it wasn't a cargo van available at that time, it was a more expensive bigger moving truck. I asked then if we could get it for the same price as the cargo van, since that was what we wanted and had already been told twice that was what we would receive. The person on the phone wasn't able to help with the price. We went to the MLK location at 2:30. In the middle of explaining the situation to Ryan, a cargo van did become available, so we took that one. All in all it was a very trying day. I am under the impression that most u haul employees have no clue what is going on. But we were able to move, so I guess it worked out.

The service was excellent at 6403 MLK Way, Seattle. However I had a bad experience from the U-Haul on Rainer Ave, Seattle. Their computer system was down and the person working the desk did not tell me about the U-Haul at 6403 MLK. He told me all of the U-Haul stores were down with computer problems. I just happen to drive by and see the store. The customer service was very bad at the Rainer Ave. Store

Try not to rip the customer off!!!! Overcharging for equipment, lying about amount of miles used, double charging for insurance, and horrible attitude all equals a complete and utter lack of respect for the customer. Have to rent another truck in a month, no way will I go back there to loose some more money to these assholes!!!

all good. Misha was really attentive to my needs and helped to find the best way to save money by returning U-haul to a different location. Thank you.

I was charged twice and it was difficult to fix over the phone. Had to come back to location to fix. That was the only down fall.

Myself, along with at least 2-3 other Customers had to wait in line to the Desk while your workers were outside (sometimes as long as 10 minutes, or more). It's my feeling that on those days when business is brisk that they should have at least (3) people working.

I showed up at 9 to pick up my reserved truck, and waited an hour because there were only 2 people to help everyone and the rental process takes a long time.

Truck looked like it hadn't been washed in months. The cab was dirty as well. There were so many Xs on it to show previous dents from accidents that it was difficult to note which Xs were for which dents.

There was a long wait to check out after returning the truck because only the GM was available to work and she was loading a semi with a forklift. Staffing needs to be addressed.

need to lower down prices on miles charges, that is really too high. If I had a truck I would not rent the U-Haul.

This is absolutely the worst Uhaul experience I have ever had. We were charged for damage, which I would have no problem paying if we actually incurred. Then, the sheet you provide at the front counter detailing how much each form of damage would be is incorrect. We were charged three times what that sheet indicated. A simple solution to this problem would be for the staff to walk through with the customer to pinpoint and agree upon what the damage is to each vehicle before they leave. In this instance, it was not clearly stated that the customer was to find all the damage, so because we reported none, we were being charged for what we did not incur. The final straw was the smart ass comments from the clerk, who was defending what the prices were more than they indicated on the sheet and if we lived in AZ that's how much it would be... The General Manager did her best to resolve the situation professionally. The service clerk did not. She was not helpful during a difficult situation and that should be noted.

The staff were cheery and very helpful. I've been to other locations where I felt like everyone hated their jobs and the customers for ruining their peace and quiet.
