I have never encountered a business where the staff and management are more rude and unorganized. I was late picking my truck up due to a meeting and was told that they no longer had a truck for me and went on to say that their service is like an airline, if you're late too bad. I asked over and over if they had a truck or not and was told that I was being rude..I was absolutely appalled at this reference. After about 20 minutes of what I can only call immature banter, I was finally told that my truck hadn't actually been given away to someone else and that it was still in the lot available for me. I rented the truck only because I needed it at that moment. I will never rent or do business at this location again. In another situation my Co worker waited in line for 25 minutes to have a trailer hitch put on her van as she had made an appt over the phone earlier that morning. There was only 1 customer service representative helping at the counter while the manager sat on the phone and had everyone listen to her personal conversation the entire time. Once my Co worker finally was helped, the lady then informed her that they didn't actually have anyone who could install her hitch that day...so why then did they take the appt ? This location needs to be re evaluated and shit down as far as I'm concerned.

Take that truck and give it a tune-up!! Even after it had it's boost, it still had problems with starting, speed AND power!!!

I needed a tow trailer for a day, Location didn't had 7 pol adapter for sale ! ( I had to go to a different show op to buy needed adapters) After signing I was told to bring the trailer back in the next 3 hours, but I had to pay the complete day! The strap on the right size was covered in oil, the locking mech. On the right side did not work! I think that's it,sorry for the bad review, but that's how it was. Respectfully

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The truck was clean and I had not problem but there was no parking for me to leave my car as I was only going to use the truck for 4 hours I had to have a friend take my car with me . I expressed my concerns to the staff the said they have to many trucks on the lot and I would have to park on tht road, there were no one spot in the road and made me very Frustrated I was about to leave upset also the bathrooms were out if order,

I had reserved by calling the reservation line to pick-up at the Meridian Road location in NE Calgary for 07:00 AM pick-up. When I arrived there was no Tow-dolly on their lot. Fortunately the helpful lady at the desk located one for me at the Blackfoot location in SE Calgary. It took an hour to get there through morning traffic but I eventually did get the tow-dolly. I'd suggest calling the local number to confirm they have the item in stock rather than being disappointed when you arrive and find it's not there.

Maintain equipment better. Truck smelled awful, clearly had been smoked in and shook like crazy at 60 - 70 km/h. Terrible truck compared to equipment that I used from my storage unit company.

Didn't know how to open the gas tank and couldn't find instructions . Also light inside didn't work and there was some garbage in the truck when we picked it up.

The one thing that I would suggest is that the customer service agents over the phone mention that the trailer hook up is not a standard hookup for new vehicles it is a 4 pin and that I need to have an adapter I would have made sure to bring mine instead of having to by one

Unfriendly customer service. Talked down to when asking questions (and pretty important ones - liability and insurance coverage, etc.). Nowhere for customer vehicles to be parked, had to park 3 blocks away and walk to and from (with no help from staff in terms of explaining where I could park). Rushed and made to feel like a burden whilst picking up. I am a frequent renter and will NEVER return to this location.

my biggest complaint is that I booked a month ahead and then was told I was to pick up the trailer 9 hours later. I spent an endless amount of time phoning and then tweeting out. was so frustrating. the good news was when I called in the am I was told there was a trailer so that was great. The people you have in customer booking on the phones were both completely rude. they did not seem interested in what I had to say they just kept interrupting me and even the person who I dealt with at 7 am was very rude. The saving grace was the person ( manager) at Blackfoot location. She was amazing and it is solely because of her my experience with u haul was completely turned around. Also the person on social media was also amazing. I was ready to NEVER use your company again. you may want to look into why you have people on the phones that are only there for themselves not the customer. I left those phone calls feeling scolded.

I was told another location for pick-up. I checked there the day before and they informed me they did not have me listed. After checking they confirmed 10:00 am at Blackfoot. 1 hour later I get a voicemail stating 12:00 noon pick-up. Tried looking up Blackfoot number but it is not in Phonebook. Took a lot to clear this up.

i did a late night drop off so there was no one to work with. Its very crowded and they are utilizing the space they have the best they can but the yard could use some more lighting to make it easier to see while trying to park the equipment.

The contracted drop off at Cedarbrae Centex was two blocks from my home (walking distance) but he said he had no room to take the truck. BS. The lot was near empty. He had two small trucks there and two car dollies on his lot. He finally admitted that the truck being 17 feet was too big for his lot. More BS. There was all kinds of room. HE SENT ME OFF 5 MILES TO THE BLACKFOOT DROPOFF WHERE I DROPPED THE TRUCK AFTER HOURS. I never did meet the personel at blackfoot. Needless to say the representative at Centex cost me an extra hour and a half of my time and $25 in taxi fare to get home. He'll be getting none of my business. Unhappy customers spread the word.

If you're going to have warning lights and buzzers for the primary brake, it would be stellar if your staff would take that seriously. If you have a certain group of trucks were this "malfunction" is a regular occurance , you should warn your customers and give them the "reset" procedure BEFORE they leave the lot. Better yet, tell them about the malfunction, the reset and ask them if they're still comfortable taking the truck. It would also be stellar if the staff at this location would warn customers that they're not actually being transfered to another person but into another queue that starts off with them having to make a selection (this happened to us twice). Also, if your counter staff are cranky, they should stay in the back room until they're able to deal with the public. One more thing would be your emergency road side assistance phone reps NOT asking customers to "just put some brake fluid in at your next rest stop" as despite the fact that I'm not a mechanic, brakes are not as easy as just topping it up! Especiapoy when that is not even the problem! You should also make life a little easier on your customers by giving them full tanks of gas instead of 1\4 tanks. It so much easier to just fill up the tank when taking the truck back as opposed to trying to judge a 1\4 of a tank! I was "sternly" warned that not having the gas at 1\4 of a tank would result in a certain charge per litre, but when you take the truck back with more gasnthe you picked it up with, nothing is said. I guess that was just my donation to U-Haul. Absolutely horrible service from pick up to return. From the grump at the desk to the poor advice from the road side assistance wrapped up with the pure bewilderment of the desk rep at drop off as to why I would be worried about PRIMARY BRAKE DASH LIGHT AND LOUD BUZZER! Never, ever, again...
