Make sure the equipment is not breaking down. Make sure the manager is not blaming customers for having poor equipment. Marlene is the only good employee in the whole place.

I needed a pick up truck to use. I live in Marlborough CT and I clocked the milage in MY CAR round trip at 40 miles. When I returned the pick up truck they told me I went 60 miles. That is NOT possible. So I was charged 61.00 instead of 47.00. I want to be reimbursed for 20.00. Please contact me. I spoke with my attorney and he said that his firm could send a para legal there and rent the same vehicle and clock the milage with his/her to ensure that there isn't fraudulent activity.

I use U Haul all the time.. I was upset that the agent kept my registration for my vehicle until I returned the truck. I had to hurry and move the big items so I can get my registration before the location closed. Then use my pick up truck to move the rest of the things.

I was charged refueling cost even though I returned my rental with more gas than it originally had. I was told a manager would handle the situation and it still has yet to be resolved.

I was very disapointed. I made a reservation for a van informed them I would be paying in cash. When I arrived I was told I couldnt do that. The only thing I was offered was a truck till 12:30. And the store employee sat on his phone. Instead of trying to please me. I had to call customer service on my own to be helped. Then the box truck had a slipping transmission and squealed every time I accelerated.

My one complaint is that I was able to book a 10' van for Saturday and Sunday online, but then the store called and said they could only give me the van for 6 hours on Saturday. This should not happen if you book the van online and it says it is available for 2 days then the customer should get it for two days. They did let me keep the van if i needed it till Sunday morning which was nice.

I would highly recommend retraining the staff on the importance of customer service. My experience, although brief, was an incredible display of the WORST customer/employee interaction in my life. After all my info was set, I had to painfully witness a back and fourth dispute between the owner and an employee. And after all the drama was said and done I had to wait again as the owner had to reopen a drawer and input my information. Again. I was told that the truck was in lot E. After walking solo to the truck and trying every door I walk back and ask the owner " Which letter is the truck on again?" He responds with "C. It's definitely on D." But you just said C. " Well, I meant D." Are you kidding me right now?

Uhaul, overall the already annoying and stressful day of moving was made even worse by my experience with the uhaul rental. Here is why. I placed my order online for a 17 foot truck. It was scheduled to be picked up at a business called Prestige Courier Services in Vernon,CT. The website site said that the truck was available. Upon arrival I found a location that had no sign. I spent 20 minutes trying to get in as every door was marked "tech entrance only." After running around like a fool trying to get in I called and the person who answered the phone sounded like they were intoxicated and directed me to a loading dock. Upon entering I was greated by the only adult in the place who was on the phone screaming at someone. He asked "how can I help you" and I stated I was there to pick up a rental. His response, "couldn't tell ya." I found what appeared to be the office and the person sitting behind the front desk couldn't have been a day over 14. I stated again that I was here to pick up a rental and his response was "let me call my mom. She knows how to do this but she's in the hospital." At this point I'm ready to walk out due to the fact the only adult in the place is running around still screaming on the phone and i can see holes in drywall where something had put their fist through it. At this point I left and called Custer service who re-routed my reservation to the Manchester, CT location. Upon arrival there I entered and was greated by two very polite people. The woman who assisted me was very professional and polite. I believe her name was Marylou. She went through the process, I signed the rental agreement and started my move. What I found interesting is no one came out with me to the truck to do an inspection of the truck or current fuel level. When I entered the truck I noticed the fuel level was a needle width below the half way mark, which equals approximately 3 gallons. There was also some defects in the exterior body paneling, minor stuff. There was no one outside with me to go over this so I continued to process my move as I was already 2 hours delayed. I spend the day moving and come back to return the truck. The "specialist" who came outside starts his walk around and testing of the different vehicle functions, headlights, the signals ect. What's interesting is he goes to these defects on one side and asks if I hit something to which I replied no since it was there when I picked the truck up. No where on my rental agreement did it list already existing defects. The "damage" he was referring to ended up being just dirt. The second interesting thing was he gave me the riot act about the fuel level. I stated the fuel level was returned to the level when the truck was accepted by me. He proceeded to say it would be $45 for 3 gallons. I stated I would talk to someone inside since my rental agreement listed the fuel level as being half when I took it over, which it was not. marlene chubka was the U-Haul associate that helped me out today. she was ceerfull and pleasant to talk to, she took the time to explain everything i needed to know to safely use the equipment i rented to haul my vehicle. I have rented from U-Haul before and its people like marlene chubka that make me come back rent from U-Haul again.

There is always a wait in the reception. We sometime wait for over 30 mins before the receptionist shows up at the counter. I had to talk to mechanic before the service reception desk person.

Provide briefing on truck features (none provided). Trailer haul light was on when I first started out. After about a mile I located the button to push on handle to disengage. Otherwise nothing.
