  • These guys did a great job and I highly recommend Go Move. They were prompt, organized and worked quickly and efficiently. I would say that of all the moving companies I dealt with during this experience, Go Move stands out the most on just one required skill for this business ... communication. It makes all the difference in a process that can go very bad very quickly, if the smallest detail is not cumminicated properly! Happy customer here.

  • I have moved seven times in four years - This is by far the most professional and knowledgeable movers I have hired through Uhaul in multiple states. Their knowledge of loading and packing a truck efficiently and safely was evident. Honestly, I would have paid more for this level of service if I had known ahead of time.   • Justin and his teammates were extremely professional. After booking, I texted to move the unloading date a day earlier and they happily accepted it. On the day of the job, they called ahead to provide an early arrival estimate, once I ok with it they came to do the job with superb quality. They unloaded our 26ft truck which was initially planned, they also unloaded another 10 ft which was added later on since we couldn’t fit things in one truck. They both were very polite and very well coordinated. We would highly recommend everyone to use their services!

  • I cannot say enough great things about these young men. My paid moving company could not get my refrigerator upstairs to the kitchen of my new townhouse and left me hanging with my frig in the driveway for 2 days. Called multiple movers who all turned down the job. GoMove showed up promptly, very polite, professional, and moved a huge refrigerator up the stairs in very short order. To say I was extremely pleased with the service is an incredible understatement. I will definitely continue to use them and highly recommend them to anyone in need of moving services.

  • Despite the apt complex deciding to pave outside the apt, restricting parking, Justin found our truck, loaded all the big & bulky stuff quickly, then after a five min drive, they helped us unload to third floor . No issues & they both got a good tip despite only two hrs, cause it’s 100 today in Chapel Hill, & didn’t have to carry the couch+++!!

The 2 movers were slower than some professional movers I have used in the past but still great - nice and took great care of my items, got everything unloaded from my 1 bedroom, 15 ft truck in 2 hours! They brought their own furniture dolly, but it was definitely helpful that I had also rented equipment through U-Haul. Colby and Chelton were great - the overall company may want to consider arming them with some more equipment such as large moving box (to carry items), door stopper (if weather permitting), and door and wall padding (weather permitting). We did just fine without these things and would recommend!!

I have to hire another agency to finish job tomm. Only issue I see is that - I requested this sevice with just a day in advance - may be I got untrained staff - other than that I don't know how such high rated service provider could bungle itself.

  • I hired GoMove expecting a top-tier experience from a highly-rated company, but the service provided was completely unprofessional. Despite booking in advance and having a detailed phone consultation with photos showing exactly what a typical 3-bedroom home requires, the sent crew lacked basic moving competency. They did not understand the standard rule of wrapping and padding protruding furniture edges, forcing me to personally intervene to prevent severe scratch damage. Worse, after 4 hours, the two-person crew had finished barely 40 percent of the job. Because of their complete underperformance, I was forced to hire out-of-pocket labor from a competitor just to complete the move. Management simply wants to 'agree to disagree' regarding these facts, but paying a premium price for a mediocre, incomplete job and property risk is entirely unacceptable.

  • Kobe and his partner worked extremely slowly throughout my move. I repeatedly observed them standing around on their phones instead of moving items, which ultimately extended the job by two hours and cost me an additional $220. I've moved several times and have never experienced movers working at such a slow pace. While I acknowledge that my new home required more walking, there is no reasonable explanation for why it took two hours to load a one-bedroom apartment with no stairs and only a short walk from the door to the truck. During my previous move, the same amount of furniture was loaded in 45 minutes from a fourth-floor apartment without an elevator. Interestingly, once I informed them I would not approve any additional time, they completed unloading at the new location in about 1.5 hours despite the longer walk. At the end, they appeared surprised that I did not tip. Given the extra $220 I incurred due to their inefficiency, I felt they had already received more than enough.

  • This move have been so long in the making. Moving from the Wes to the East Coast and not having any moving help has been a struggle. (single female) When I rented my U-Haul truck I was told that I could also hire help to assist in my move. I arranged for help the night before I needed to unload my trailer from the shipper. The entire time I was in text contact with Justin with GoMove. The morning of, he and JuJu arrived ready to go. They unpacked the trailer, loaded the UHaul and packed everything into my Public Storage unit. I literally watched as they meticulously stacked and moved boxes and a few pieces of furniture and bed. Nothing dropped or broken. I was so relieved. It only took the 2 scheduled hours. These two were so helpful. I will definitely use them again. Thank you both for excellent service.

  • This is a diamond combination to combine U-Haul rental with associated backup labor, especially if it is a do-it-yourself local move. As people in our 60s, we highly recommend this approach. The two men Justin and Brian were very helpful. They lifted our heaviest objects with ease, and chose to move items up stairways instead of using an elevator and dollies (no damage to possessions). This allowed them to finish the job earlier. They were courteous and patient as we chose where to arrange furniture in the new place. They did not just drop the items and consider the job done. I overestimated the time the job would take, but they did more for us than the basic move, helping get furniture down from top to bottom floor a the old place even though these items were not being moved to the new place. They set us up for future actions, saving our backs into the future. We were all pleased to have added GoMove to help make the move easier.

  • First of all, they were the only movers we have used that actually showed up on time. That’s the most important part. The others we have used were always 2-4 hours late which completely messes up the timing of the move. When they arrived, they worked diligently; however we paid for the minimum 3 hours but it ended up being only 1.5 hours because they unloaded everything into the garage and then asked where everything goes. We could not access anything with it all plied up so we just asked for the large furniture to be moved in the house. We will have to move everything else in ourselves.

  • Wow, what a positive experience! We're getting ready to sell our house and we needed some things moved around. This job involved moving a very heavy side by side refrigerator to the garage. Not an easy task as it was necessary for the fridge to be moved out the front door, down some steps and carried around the front of the house to the garage. The 2 workmen were able to accomplish the task quickly with no damage to anything. We also required moving some heavy items to the third floor.   • Employees showed up in sweats and were not dressed professionally. They were quick but got held up in the logistics of packing the uhaul. My husband helped rearrange the uhaul to fit everything. Ended up getting billed an extra hour because they didn't know what they were doing. First time using movers through uhaul and it wasn't horrible but wasn't great either.

  • I arranged moving assistance on short notice. I was contacted by GoMove almost immediately on reserving their services to confirm the details of the move, and then regularly throughout the process. The movers were punctual, professional, and polite. I'd arranged for their time to deal with larger items that I would be unable to shift myself, and they completed that work in a third of the amount of time I'd estimated. After that they switched to moving smaller items. In a very real sense, the move would not have been completed by the deadline without their help. Thoroughly impressed how quick they were, particularly with the apartment being on a third floor and the staircase setup wasn’t the easiest but they made it seem like no problem at all. Such nice guys, super friendly and were good at communicated prior to move-in day, asked what they would be helping to move so they would prep.   • Lucas was great, but the other guy was not. Lucas was on-time, proactive and a hard worker who moved 90 percent of my stuff. The 2nd guy was 20 minutes late to my house and only helped with the large furniture items. He seemed more concerned with his phone than anything else. When driving to my storage unit, Lucas followed me right over. 2nd guy was again late and Lucas did most of the work. Also, the side of one of my dressers was scuffed up in the move. I would hire Lucas again, but 2nd guy I would not.

  • While I’ll admit that I wasn’t as prepared as I could have been, this is the first time out of many that I’ve hired professional movers and had them arrive to my home with absolutely no tools of the trade and only used what I could provide or took what they could find. Which included dumping a dresser off of a furniture dolly that I had planned to sell, scratching the face of it on the ground. Additionally, I had provided 24 moving blankets and they were only deployed a handful of times after I repeatedly stressed how concerned I was about things such as a butcher block top on multiple tables or a birch headboard. They only used them while I was present but once I walked away, neglected to use it on the next piece. Lastly, they left large gaps between items in the truck and refused to deploy ratchet straps when I made the suggestion, claiming that heavy items wouldn’t move. They did move simply from a trip across the parking lot, so I had to the time to repack to avoid damage.

  • Not sure if this was a system issue or not, but they showed up at the destination address and got lost. Communication was great, so we sorted that out quickly. The movers packed the truck efficiently, making the best use of the space. However, moving blankets were not used and furniture got scratches and paint transfer marks. One piece got dropped and damaged badly, and some boxes fell. I had some repairs to do. Boxes marked 'fragile' were crushed under other boxes. We lost an antique glass piece in one of these, which was shattered. I won't be re-hiring this organization through your service. I was impressed by one of your teams on a prior move. They gave me a card which I need to locate again for the future.

  • Although the individuals were prompt with communication and arrival, we experienced trouble during the loading process of our items. We explicitly tried to explain to the movers how the truck needed to be loaded, what items needed to be placed in first in order to be max efficient. Neither of them listened, and thus caused them having to unpack the moving truck an hour into the process IOT fit in the some leftover larger and heavier items. This resulted in the movers throwing last minute items on top of fragile already packed items, even though we tried explaining that it was not the best process and again attempted to guide them in the right direction. We felt very unheard and felt our items were treated with extreme neglect. Instead of sticking around to ensure we were satisfied with the job they rushed off, and we were left with a multitude of broken and damaged goods before even beginning our trip; that the company now wants to label as 'unprotected' when we did purchase coverage.

I did not stand at the truck and give instructions as to how I would like boxes or suitcases put into the truck, but the movers did put some boxes upside down or on their side and did not seem to pay attention to where I wrote fragile or heavy on some of the boxes.   • GoMove was helpful in loading my belongings into a Uhaul truck. I couldn't have loaded all my boxes and heavy items without them. I would have appreciated if they used the ropes and moving blankets I provided to them to better secure and protect my belongings. Only a couple flimsy bookcases were damaged however. I also had to rearrange things toward the opening of the back of the truck afterward to better prevent them from falling during the drive and to make better use of the space. On the whole the movers were friendly and efficient however and would recommend.

  • The help was exceptional! The response was fast and I was able to book movers in a matter of minutes. The movers were on time, very professional and personable. The only issue I have is that I was charged for another hour when an unforeseen circumstance came about. The president was in the area of Raleigh and police escorts blocked off major highways such as hwy 440 and 540, including side road pathways to reach the unloading destination. This caused everyone in route to figure out another way to the destination and caused traffic for many. There were police car searches going on to get into the blocked off area which added time to the work job might I add too. Also, one of the guys were stuck in traffic because of this for about 30-40 minutes which all of this was out of our control. I would still recommend these movers despite the charge, but I don’t feel it was necessary as the job was completed within the same amount of time that we had loss because of the unforeseen circumstance

  • The service I got from GoMove was exceptional. Justin contacted me through SMS to confirm the date and time, some details and was very kind. On the moving day Joe, Damarion and Trey arrived punctually, those guys were outstanding, always respectful with my wife and I, so careful with both our belongings and with not getting damaged the drywalls, including heavy furniture that was on the second floor. We were really impressed by their professionalism attitude all the time; they were able to sort everything in the truck as well.   • While the three gentlemen arrived on time and were professional in their interactions, we have damage to nearly every piece of furniture, crushed boxes, bent components of furniture, and we have yet to see the extent of the damage within the boxes. Despite our provision of ample furniture pads and tie- downs, nothing was secured and items were stacked on other items placed on their sides with complete disregard for weight distribution and shearing. We are devastated by the damage found during the unload yesterday and less than pleased with the lack of response to the dispute filed and lack of returned phone calls to discuss resolution. One would expect that a company would have staff who know how to load a truck securely and who will actually care about people’s belongings. This was clearly not the case with GoMove and GoGetIt. Sadly, we absolutely cannot recommend.

  • I hired GoMove when I booked a U-Haul truck to move from a second-floor apartment to a cottage home. James and McCauley were the movers that helped us. I had never hired movers before but had no other option because of a recent hospitalization. James and McCauley were excellent. I have already recommended them to people! They arrived, surveyed what they needed to move, and swiftly began. Initially, I gave specific instructions; however, within a very short time, they earned my trust and took the lead on the move. They knew what they were doing. Despite this, they humbly checked in with me about items and moving priorities. James and McCauley worked efficiently for the entire two hours. They were extraordinarily kind. I invited a non-English, Spanish-speaking friend to help with the move, and they spoke to him in Spanish, thanking him and asking him if he needed ayuda (help). Great people, great move! If all of GoMove’s employees are like James and McCauley, I’ll be hiring them again!

  • These two were fantastic amidst the chaos that my last second move made. They were on top of everything and I can't thank them enough for their patience, as well as efficiency.

  • Loaders arrived on time and were professional. Initial load was performed well with boxes stacked efficiently. Tie down rope, cellophane rolls and blankets were provided but were left mostly unused. Furniture was not wrapped properly and got dirtied from surface dust in truck. Furniture was not stored optimally which resulted in lots of unfilled space. Additional boxes from a second location were then loaded haphazardly and not optimally (again no tie down was used) resulting in an incomplete load forcing me to have to return next week to move the remaining boxes which will incur a significant cost. After arriving at destination, most of the cargo shifted significantly and due to lack of tie downs and furniture pads many were damaged - the total extent will be determined over the coming days. Overall, i think the helpers did the loading but were obviously not seasoned movers and lacked any training or preparation to accomplish that.

They unfortunately didn't read many labels on our items so heavy boxes didn't end up at their intended location within the house. They also stacked heavy boxes on top of boxes labeled fragile.   • I’m giving a 1 star review because it was just that. I honestly wish Justin would have denied the request to provide services. He told me that he had a job the morning before me and a job after me however he and his help could not handle the workload. I paid for 2 helpers for 2 hours and that’s not what I got. Instead we got our furniture removed from the inside of the apartment to the outside blocking the doors of the neighbors on the 3rd floor, 2nd floor and 1st floor. The helper that accompanied Justin could not make a full trip carrying furniture so he needed rest after breaking our television. Shortly after that, they made sure to tell me that their time was ending and they had another job to fulfill so if I had anything that I wanted to prioritize he’d try to help. This business does not have insurance so if something is broken expect the owner to act as if this has never happened before and offer cheap solution that doesn’t fit your schedule just so it looks like he tried.   • I got a confirmation closely after my U-Haul reservation. I like to ‘confirm’ my confirmations so I called and emailed but didn’t get a response. I got a text the night prior that the movers would be there when requested. I communicates that I had left VM and email and the response was that they stay busy during the day with moves. The movers showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. They were also very careful with the furniture, both loading and unloading. I will definite use them the next time I need help moving. I don’t recommend very many businesses, but I definitely recommend this company. I tipped at the end of the move.

Unfortunately, UHaul let me down and lost my box and was unprofessional and uncommunicative during the race to find it. Justin not only stuck with the job, he went above and beyond in driving to multiple locations to find my box (despite UHaul's best attempt to lose it forever) and adjusted his schedule to complete the delivery.   • Hi arrange for help loading a truck. Unfortunately said everything was OK before the truck was actually unloaded. I had to professionals unload the truck for me and discovered significant damage to a very expensive couch, and the unloaders pointed out numerous examples of for packing, including heavy pieces of furniture with glass and white finishes on their side instead of being on their feet. They also said that much more could have been fit into the truck if it had been packed better. Because of this, I had to hire a second mover for the stuff that didn’t make it in the first truck which cost me several thousand dollars.
