• I had a few scratches on the wall & floor because of furniture being slid & not picked up. I also had small damage to a very expensive dresser. The men were nice & fast . They went above & beyond to help me when a roadblock arrived. I should have just paid a little more attention to handling. They also did not have tools to take down an bedframe that couldn’t fit up the stairs. Knowing this, I would have booked for less time. I paid for 3 hours of labor and got about 1.5. Otherwise, would book again.

• Orlando and his partner were great! My U-Boxes were delayed two days, and he was extremely adaptable and accommodating. When my U-boxes were delivered, he retrieved them and brought them to my place within two hours. They were super friendly and did a great job unpacking. Efficient and respectful!

• Calls were a little unprofessional because they didn’t announce who they were when I received calls. They accidentally called my number instead of the next job’s number right before they were to start mine, which had me thinking they were trying to start an hour late, but everything got cleared up. They chipped the wall just a little when moving the heaviest dresser I’ve ever seen, but other than that, they were fast and did a good job. Like the name says, they’re reliable.

• Book UHaul for three hours twelve-three. Movers twelve & two. After booking I spoke with movers at six am to confirm twelve pm reservation, items to move n tools needed. He confirmed, was no problem they’ll have everything n be there. I picked up U-Haul at eleven fourty five. I was at my apt waiting at twelve. Movers didn’t arrive three hrs later. Once arrive, they didnt have any tools to take down my bed as we discussed this morning. But time starts when they arrive.Now we’re waiting for one guy to return with tools which took another thirty minutes. One mover, began to move boxes into the truck while we waited got done and we’re still waiting. Now I went over my UHaul rental time which was an extra fee. As we’re headed to the storage unit, the movers called and stated that I did not pay for unload, and it would be an extra, this wasn’t stated online. One option to load&unload, I was under the impression it’s together? This was very inconvenient and unprofessional.

• Brandon and Richard went above and beyond what was asked of them. This is the second time we’ve used J&J, and I can’t recommend them enough. They loaded our 26’ truck perfectly and took great care of our stuff. They should definitely be at the top of you list when selecting movers. I will definitely use them again!

• The movers were overall good but they did tear a large hole in a new sofa ( 3 months) old and I would like it replaced but Uhaul has been no help at all so I would not recommend any movers fro the Uhaul site.

• Initially I spoke with Orlando, explain the move to him and what I believed was needed. We had changed the move till 1000 a.m. from 1030. He explained that he had communicated it to the workers. But they showed up at 1030. I had requested a hand truck. The workers told me that he had not communicated that they needed a hand truck. His communication with me was great but his communication with the workers was not complete. Obviously, I was told this so I'm assuming it's true. He may have told them and they may have not complied. Overall I gave them a five-star rating because they did do a good job. I always go to the U-Haul app for Movers and I have never been disappointed.

• I can't say enough nice things about these guys. After another moving company ghosted me, these guys stepped up with less than 24hrs notice and helped me move my 5 bedroom home. Jay, Brandon, an Orlando were kind, courteous, and very hardworking. Even though I got too small of a truck and we had to do 2 loads, they did not complain and Jay did a masterful job of packing the van, like the tetris king that he is. The rates that they charge are really low.But don't think that that means you get any less quality service than stellar. Excellent work guys. I really appreciate it.

• This is my second time using this team. One of the guys was from the first time I used them. Pros - They were just a as fast as last time and got everything into the U-Haul and into the apartment. Cons - They broke the back board on my bookshelf. Granted it’s one from Walmart so they are not the most expensive and I can put it back on with a nail. It was just the fact that it got damaged and they never said anything I just happen to see it broken off. Another con was that they hit a wall with the bed frame and it cause the paint on the wall to come off where you can now see the sheet rock or whatever under the paint. Again they said nothing until I found out about it. So the 3 stars is for the speedy job they did, but I had to take off two for the fact that they weren’t open and honest about the damages.

• They were not prepared correctly for the move-- for example, they were late but communicated well about their revised arrival time. They said they were late because needed to pick up his partner, called again to say he needed to gas up. I was surprised they did not bring water on such a hot day. One was wearing flip flops and the other was wearing unlaced hi-tops. This caused some missteps and tripping on the ramp and on the stairs. Fortunately, I was there to help catch the dresser, but the walls were damaged a bit in the shared stairwell from their fumbling the furniture. That said, they were very efficient and diligent in their work. They were polite. With just a little more preparation they would earn 5 stars. By the way, I tipped them personally. They worked hard and we really appreciate their help.

Brandon was quick to confirm with me when I would need them and where. I double checked the day before and he confirmed. They arrived right on time. I showed them exactly what all I was moving and they got to work packing the truck the best way. I had rented a 20 foot uhaul truck, dolly, and appliance dolly, which we made use of. They were quick to fill the truck and we moved to the new place. They were careful with everything and even helped me set up my bed frame and platform. They also helped me move some items into my storage unit. I had no damaged or broken items. We even finished up a little bit early. Highly recommend and will definitely use them for my next move.

• Booked two guys for two hours for just under 200. We were coming from out of state. We were supposed to arrive 430 but arrived 445. Brandon was very upset that he had to wait. We had a truck with some furniture, some boxes in two cars and a sofa set to pick up. The truck was emptied in 45 minutes. Brandon complained that he shouldn’t have to do the boxes. He reluctantly unloaded boxes from one car. We did the other. He went with us to pick up sofa set. They were done around 7 pm. I paid an extra 100 cash as I had promised I would pay more to get them to stop complaining and do the job. All in all expect to pay more if doing anything more than a simple one hour unload. In their defense it was a very hot day and we did get the job done. Communication was good in that we felt assured that the guys would be there and not be a no show.

  We were told several things regarding this move that werent true, first that there wasnt any flight of stairs which there were, then the customer said we will unload the truck and head straight to pick up one sofa, which wasnt true because there were two sofas, also the location that we picked the sofas up from was 35 minutes round trip. • I booked 2 people for 3 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment with living room furniture to a location less than a mile away with the biggest U-Haul truck. I figured that would be enough since I had 2 additional guys helping as well. They took the entire 3 hours to load the truck so we had to pay more for them to leave and 2 different people to come 2 hours later to unload. So in the end they only got the big stuff moved, we paid extra for the other people to come to unload, and had to pay another truck rental fee since the original guys leaving resulted in us having the truck longer than the reservation. The original guys complained when I was there. Felt like they were just trying to get more money out of me. It shouldn’t take 4 people over 5 hours to load and unload 2 bedrooms and a living room with a travel time of 3-5 minutes.

• J&J are great and I have used them in the past as well. The two guys busted their asses and filled our U-boxes to the brim. In contrast, the manager (Brandon) is unprofessional. On the day of the move, when the movers were already there, he called me to tell that I should have booked the moving through U-boxes, since you are supposed to pay by each box, not by hours. This was new information to me. Nowhere on the U-Haul website it says that you can’t book U-box labor by the hour. If this is necessarily the case then the manager should have called me earlier so that I could change the order. The movers charged me an extra $300 on the day of move, and this was a bitter surprise. I feel scammed but at least got the job done. I wouldn’t feel so bad about paying extra (since I had a lot of stuff) if the manager communicated with me before the move.

• They did do a good job loading up our things but there was some damage from some of the furniture they moved. The floors were scratched from them moving the couch (which we got a quote of $500 to fix), while getting the couch through the door there were multiple dings in the wall and door, and the door frame had to be repainted from it.

  The couch wasnt a regular sized couch, only booked two movers when there should of been at least four movers to move the couch. It was at least two times longer and wider than a normal couch.
