  • Day of moving - there were 3 people total to help load our two u-boxes. Tre and his team were efficient and loaded up our u-boxes quickly and neatly. End to end, they were done in about 2 hours. Because our u-boxes were coming from the SF warehouse location they had to load up one u-box at a time, drive back, and get the second one. It might be different if your u-boxes come from another warehouse. Both of ours were wood, despite us requesting the newer metal ones. There could be some improvement with the day of communications. We were told the earliest they could pick up our u-boxes was 9am but we didn’t get any confirmation with a time frame of when they would arrive at the u-haul facility on the morning of, and had to call to find out if anyone was on the way to the warehouse yet. That being said, overall Daryl was responsive when we had questions and helped troubleshoot and connect us directly with Tre. We tipped in cash.

  • We really thought the loading went well. The team worked fast and were constantly in the move. They moved a lot of heavy boxes and a good amount of lighter furniture. Everything looked good once the truck was loaded. But it wasn’t. As we unloaded at the destination everything was loaded poorly. Far more furniture was damaged or broken than wasn’t. My big green egg was absolutely shattered beyond use. We found loaded tv boxes leaning precariously (couldn’t see them from the back once it was loaded). Furniture was loaded with fronts leaning directly against each other, so all got scratched and scarred. The soft top for my jeep had a heavy mini-fridge stacked on top, which after rattling on the road pushed its way through the top of the box to site on the actual soft top. There’s not enough room to explain all the damage that was done. This team’s poor loading cost me thousands.

  • Lonnie and Trey were super efficient. Got the lay of the land quickly after showing them what was needed. Got straight to it- no fuss, just rolled up the sleeves and knocked it out. It wasn’t an easy job because I got a smaller truck than I wanted and they had to organize it pretty tight and efficiently to make it all work. I also needed to get things done but didn’t have the time to neatly pack and have everything sitting ready to go when they arrived. True professionals in that manner that it didn’t faze them and they just got on with it. I’m very grateful they took the job last minute and made the trip out to help. I know they’re just doing their job, but it made our move happen when it was looking like it wasn’t gonna. Have a 8-month old and we couldn’t find the time to get our things together the right way, but Lonnie & Trey took care of it regardless. Thanks gentlemen- really appreciate it.

  • Unfortunately, our experience with these movers was horrible. They stated they would not supply furniture wrap for wrapping the furniture, so we purchased it ourselves. Then we received a call the day of that they would be an 1 hour late due to a staffing shift. We were okay with this, but they then showed up 1.5 hours late and did a horrible job with the move. They did not wrap any furniture, they packed things haphazardly, and one mover complained the entire time. By the end of their 3 hours, the truck was supposedly full, despite being more than large enough to fit everything and there were still a ton of boxes left to be packed. My husband and his father had to hand boxes over to one another to fit boxes into the strange empty spaces that the movers left. Because the furniture was not wrapped, they did not utilize the furniture blankets we supplied, and they packed everything so poorly, several pieces of furniture ended up damaged.

They arrived on-time and were courteous and professional throughout the move. • Communication was good at first as they reached out to make arrangements, which was load a truck at my house & unload it into storage. But on the day things didn't go well. We ordered 2 guys for 2 hours for $240 & they showed up with 4 guys. I asked why & they said so it will go twice as fast, but you can only go so fast in loading a truck, so we had more people to coordinate & they loaded the truck ok but more people was not a help. When we got to the storage place they said the one hour was up & they were going to leave & wanted us to pay for 4 guys for an hour for them to stay for $480. I told them that I ordered 2 guys for 2 hours, so by that logic they could do one more hour for that rate, but even that rate went up higher than was at booking. So we were billed another $280 for an hour to unload the truck & they rushed through it, poorly packed it into storage in less than 30 min, demanded payment, & left. Felt robbed and have to repack the storage myself. Not a good experience.

  • I would like to start by saying that I am very disappointed to be giving these guys a negative review as my service started out fantastic. First, they tried to get out of coming to meet me at our scheduled time of 9am as 'they had a job at 4pm.' Initially they were great, and were very quickly moving our boxes and were quite upbeat. Then two hours into the move, Daryll (the owner) informs me that they cannot work past two hours and he demands extra compensation. I remind him that I spoke WITH HIM on the phone where we agreed that the move was a flat rate, independent of time spent. He tells me that now the move is not profitable and threatens to stop working and after I decline his demands he spends the rest of the time pouting and not speaking to me. Do you really think that we are that stupid? I had also told him early on that I had a TV, yet an hour later he chastises me and says 'I wish you had told me that you had a TV.' Very unprofessional service all around. Avoid.

It's on it's side by the wall. And everything is pretty much where they placed it. No thought about where it might go. I didn't expect them to be designers, but I think everyone knows what a basic bedroom looks like. It will stay this way, unfortunately. I can't move it. I will have to wait until someone can do it for me.

  • The movers were very attentive to detail, letting us know when they picked up the box from U-Haul, loading everything carefully and they took less time than estimated which saved some money. This is definitely the way to move belongings in a city like San Francisco where you would otherwise need to arrange for a city permit for over $300 and plan weeks in advance. Do It Right lived up to their name- they were great!!

  • Darryl and Bradley from Do It Moving did an excellent job moving my stuff from a studio to a two-story home. I communicated over the phone with Darryl; he was responsive and kind. They were punctual and moved everything within the time frame provided. They made sure to place the boxes in the exact room according to the labeling. They went above and beyond with taking care of my items, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Darryl and Bradley!

Even before the move began, Daryl called to give me an overview of the process and provided his number so I have it just in case I need it for anything or have questions. Him and his colleague texted me when they were on the way, did a quick assessment of our stuff and then just started loading everything in super super methodically.
