  • This was the second time I hired SmartMove. The first time was a few weeks ago for a ubox + load while this time was for the ubox +unload. The movers were professional and did a great job as I anticipated. They were flexible with the move date and responsive to my messages. But since the move can be on the pricey side, I would recommend ubox for short distances only because the rate for the mileage is calculated per box and it is expensive.

  • I was able to reach them promptly by phone or text to communicate availability and preferences (morning versus afternoon), and explain the details and particular concerns of my move. What we discussed about services and my items prior to the move was what I got (e.g. no surprises or bait and switch). For example, I communicated that I needed certain pieces of furniture wrapped and was worried about potential damage with the wiring of my bed with a convertible base. Jay assured me that plastic wrapping of my furniture was included, that they had worked on convertible bases before without issues, and that uHaul would supply the moving blankets. Jay and Horace were well prepared with a power tool kit, dollies, measuring tape, and moving tape too. I was impressed by how they disassembled the mirror, convertible base, and table, then placed the nuts and bolts in plastic baggies. When Jay told me they are licensed, bonded, and insured before booking I knew I was making the right choice.

  • Greetings, I do not typically write reviews but, this was a must!!!!! I had what I thought was a simple move. This was a move from one storage unit to another ( same place). Well , I could not find my key and it was already cutting into my scheduled time. So thank you Jay and partner ( my apologies did not get the other person’s name)!   • Our movers Jay and Horace, these guys were outstanding. They were early to the site and so kind. I just moved in from out of state so I was a little out of it, but they were so patient with me. They were so gentle with my things. I had a lot of fragile boxes and large fragile items. They were attentive and very careful. Took such great care of my belongings. They also finished early, worked hard the entire time. Beyond grateful for them and the excellent unloading moving experience. If I move again in this area I wouldn’t go with anyone else.

  • 5 stars all around! Jay and Horace were excellent. Showed up early figured out my somewhat complicated apartment set up without complaint. Super friendly and accommodating. I was unfortunately a bit late to meet them and they had everything ready to load, quickly and efficiently when I arrived. Seriously if you’re questioning whether you need to hire help for your move, just do it. These guys will have you efficiently packed and on your way in half the time your friends will do it without the stress.

Not only did they take the time to make sure my things were protected before moving them, but they also made sure that during unloading they were placed in the most optimal location for getting situated. At the end of a long day, it was so helpful to have them quickly reassemble furniture at our house. What was most appreciated, though, was how the crew worked with my husband to determine the best way to get a very large, heavy antique upright piano into the house. It took some creativity, but it was successfully moved. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

  • I strongly recommend the Smart Move provider, after booking my reservation Jay reached out to me to inform me he would be following up with me during the week to discuss the moving plan, needs, etc. By the next day Jay had contacted me and answered all questions and concerns. On the day of the move Jay and his assistant arrived early and was ready to jump into action. They both used care when handling my furniture, and strategically loaded the U-hual to assure everything would fit without any damage or damage during transport. After arriving to the new location, the two begin unloading and assuring that all items could fit into the doorway without causing any damage, the two were patient, professinal, and friendly. I booked for 2 hours and they completed the unloading early. I was very pleased with there level of service, professionalism, and as I stated previously I strongly recommend Smart Move if you are looking for affordable, professinal, and fast movers.

FUN and EASY are not words I thought I would ever use to describe moving in, but these guys could not have been more caring, compassionate, and professional. Quick, cunning, collaborative (when appropriate, they helped us puzzle out where to put furniture), and movers with serious experience and expertise, we could trust that our items were going to make it to their final home in perfect condition. When we had difficulties moving out on time (we came from a different city), Jay was incredibly kind and was able to reschedule the truck unload for the next morning.
