  • It started with the company said they will start at 10am so I scheduled a truck for 9am. They showed up at 8am and I told them to come back at 10. We ordered 3 helpers and 2 were great workers but barely had 5 days experience between both of them. The 3rd guy totally worthless. He’s probably great at video games but should never have been hired as a mover. Probably is the guy that they send just to pad the bill. Paid him to stand and supervise. nothing. Ended up sending him home early and he was excited about it.

    We believe this review to be skewed. Customer ordered 2 movers not 3. When the order was booked we sent a message confirming an 8 to 9am arrival time he agreed. We showed at 8am and he sent us away, even though he agreed to am, here's the text we sent - Hi Brian this is Big Boy Movers confirming your job for 7.26 with an 8-9am arrival. Will we be helping you load or unload? Any large items?. - We're not sure why was an ambiguous communication. One mover was newer and had performed 6 jobs. We pair all new workers with a seasoned vet. Jack has hundreds of moves under his belt. The customer saying there were 5 between them is untrue. When the customer sent our workers away at 8am he asked them to add a third mover. The last Saturday of July is the second busiest day of the year. Adding a third mover is almost impossible. We have an emergency fill-in guy that we sent. He's not our best but when desperate customers need a body, he fills in. We didn't pad the bill the customer requested him.

  • Kind guys, friendly and hard working! Their strategy for moving large pieces wasn’t the best and led to furniture damage & wall scrapes. I had blankets, plus plastic wrap and tools available that went unused. I’d suggest breaking down & wrapping any furniture you’d like protected prior to arrival.

And I mean that in a very good way...They carefully lifted and carried several very heavy furniture pieces down the 26' U-Haul truck ramp - then up several steps into the house and placed them into position. NEver stopped working, never complained once....Amazing job young men! Very professional and courteous. Will ask for them again next month for the next load!

  • I give them 2 stars being nice. First I would like to say the guy with the longer hair was great the other was terrible he barely worked and literally acted like a begging dog towards my customer for a tip it was embarrassing and I told him over & over that my company provides the tip since we hired them not the customer I have never seen any mover act that way and as the driver I even helped he barely did any work got paid 2 hours which it took less than 1 than have the audacity to stalk my client for a tip now we will NOT be tipping them through this app as we usually do because they were tipped from our client and the one guy doesn’t deserve anything I bet he probably even told the good mover a fake tip amount very unprofessional and he has no work ethic we usually give cards and take cards for future use never again!!! We hired this company based off reviews but we either got stuck with a new guy or people don’t understand what TRUE movers do

    This was another moving company that booked us to help unload their customer. The company was angry because the customer wanted to tip our guys directly and make sure they got the money and not this other company. My guys didn't beg, worked their butts off, and did a great job. Just ask the actual customer who loved us. This review borders on defamation more than legitimacy. That's what I would call unprofessional.

  • The movers were on time and friendly. They worked quickly, almost too quickly. It would have been nice if they weren’t in such a hurry. It was stressful. We had them scheduled for 2 hours. There was no need to rush. Carrying 4 boxes at a time with a Fragile labeled dish box teetering and sliding on top was nerve wracking to watch. The dresser sustained a little damage. All in all, nice guys who constantly offered to help, but a little cocky and pushy, racing to get done as fast as they could. My husband was completely frazzled by the end of their whirlwind of activity that all I could do was send the movers on their merry way. In the end, they were only there for one hour, yet I had paid for two.

    Hi Lynn, thanks for the review. We've instilled into our workers the importance of working hard as we know the customers' money is valuable and we want them to get their money's worth. However we instruct them also to eliminate the likelihood of damage. This is one reason why they are instructed to not stack boxes above their eye level so that they can still watch where they're going and be safe. Stacking 4 boxes would put this well above their head and would go against our training. I'm glad they took care of you and maximized your time. The truck wasn't packed well so some things just got thrown on top or didn't fit when I should've had extra room. (I just moved recently with the exact same items in a smaller truck so I had a pretty good idea on time and space needed for the move.)

    Hi Jill, we're sorry you feel that way. All items fit into the truck and the extra hour that occurred was due to the load coming out of a second story instead of ground level. Whenever you have to navigate stairs or (in this case) wait for, load, and unload an elevator, it simply adds time.   • Please have supervisor call me. The upright piano was not secured and tipped over front ways in the truck. Broke in two. Also, movers were 1.5 hrs late.

We clearly stated the safe was 660 pounds and we were told we needed 3 movers to move it. The 3rd mover was late so the 2 movers decided to move it without the 3rd mover. There is no way the 2 movers could get the safe up the stairs by themselves. My husband had to provide a lot of help getting it up the stairs and did the brunt of the work. Not sure why we had to pay $90 for the 3rd mover when he was late and the other 2 movers decided to move the safe without the 3rd required mover. We will not recommend your moving services and we will not use you again.

When I arrived at my destination these items had flown all around the inside of the moving van causing significant damage to three expensive shelving units and two other pieces of furniture.   • The piano I need moved, was too heavy for the moving helpers to complete the job. They did not bring proper equipment or supplies needed for piano moving, and I was unaware that I needed to pay extra and request they bring necessary moving supplies such as a piano dolly, ramps, straps, stair pads Etc that most other movers come equipped with when moving pianos.     The movers have around 400 moves completed between them. Nothing was broken or unsatisfactory. Our guys are clean cut, hard workers and younger than thirty. Customer's only complaint was their age.
