• Movers were well over an hour late to start the job and did not call or text to let us know. When they arrived they offered a 3rd worker (we had hired 2) but for an additional $80. It seems if they were the cause of being late, the boss (3rd worker) could have jumped in to get us back on track for the late start rather than just sit in the car while his workers did the job.

  Sometimes Customer book moves and it takes longer than planned which throws off our schedule because the move before this Customer took longer than planned and that why we were late and we did let this customer know this a head of time, unfortunately my movers dont work for free we appreciate positive reviews.

• I was very thankful for these men moving my boxes and furniture. They were very polite and stayed on task. They were even able to move a huge stand up freezer down a flight of stairs into my basement. I called them to confirm the time and location a day after I booked them. They were easy to get ahold of by phone. They gave a time window of between 3-4pm and arrived at 430 pm. Despite getting there a bit late, I would use them again. Great value for the price. I tipped in cash.

• I have never experienced slower moving people. The truck they packed was mostly dead space. No method to their staging. Expensive pieces lopsided and the heaviest pieces conveniently did not fit at the end of the day because the truck was arranged so poorly and they waited till the 3 hour mark to say that the treadmill needed to be disassemble.

• Two gentlemen arrived five minutes early. I like that! It took my two grandsons over two hours to load this furniture into a trailer and it took half that time for these two gentlemen to unload and place the it all in it's final location. They even wiped their feet on the way in as best they could. We are very happy!

• Movers showed up and moved so slow they barely got two loads done in 2 hours of a truck. They also made my husband and me who is terminally ill help they complained and fussed. In between the two loads they disappeared for 30 whole minutes. They moved so slow they didn't even move everything we had to take half of our moving stuff ourselves they were letting us load boxes. Absolutely horrible. Seriously you feel like at least a third of our money should be refunded because my husband did majority of the work. And they didn't even finish the job. I don't want them to get in trouble but they are not good movers I thought I wouldn't have to do anything I'm in the last stage of life and I should not have had to do what I did today they complained half the time they were trying to hit on my daughter the other time they were just absolutely didn't want to be there. And it was very obvious. seriously one of the worst experiences that I've ever had ill never use them again. Refund half of pls

  We showed up to get the job done as always, you had a four bedroom house with a two door garage filled with boxes and you rented a 10 foot truck and we also had to take your stuff to the storage multiple times because the truck was so small for the job and you only reserve two hours. • There is not much else to say. The move (loading furniture into UHaul truck) was scheduled for Sunday, February 23, at 10:00 a.m. in Roanoke, Virginia. I called to confirm the afternoon before the move and was told that a team of two movers would arrive the following morning. The movers did not show at the designated time and place. • Scheduled a 1pm move (2 people for 2 hrs). 12:50 they called and said they were running late and said it would be 2pm. Fine. No show at 2pm. Called them at 2:15, they said they were on the way. At 3pm received a text saying one helper had to go home for an emergency and owner? was out of the area and wouldn't be able to make it in until 6pm. Just flat failed to meet commitments and messed up my time and truck rental. Had to locate another company (Roanoke Movers) at last minute, pay them more, but they showed up at 4:45pm and got the job done without a bunch of excuses. Texted Star City Movers at 5:15pm and told them not to bother showing up as I found someone else (They were supposedly on the way. Right?)

• Getting in contact with this mover was a feat. They rarely answer their phone. But when they do, at least they are polite (if taciturn). We had an appointment for 2 pm, and at 2:30 I called them, and proceeded to call them every now and then until about 4:30. Around 5ish, they called me back and said they had vehicle trouble and their phone was dead. At that point, we were ready to drive to the new place. I'm not sure if their excuse was legitimate or just an excuse, but I'm very disappointed (and delayed) regardless.

• I move this Saturday, April 30th. Seeing as how I hired Star City Movers last February when they moved me into my current place of residence, I definitely wanted them for the job this time around. I first tried contacting the movers via the social media site Google+. We exchanged emails in order to finalize the arrangements. I did not hear back from him so after two days, I decided to hire them in a more official way via MovingHelp.com. I have tried call the number the movers have listed on MovingHelp.com but it is disconnected or no longer in service. • Time was confirmed for 9 am. At 915 they were not here. Tried to call went to voicemail. Was unable to leave a message. Texted to see if they were coming. At 930 I received a text back saying he had a flat tire and would here here soon. I told him not to bother that I had helpers and we could do it on our own. Really poor way to do business thankfully I had help.
