I had an awful experience with this moving company and would not recommend them. My move was originally scheduled for the morning, but just days beforehand, they changed it to the afternoon. The movers didn't arrive until 5 PM, and what I expected to be finished by 9 PM dragged on until 2 AM. Despite moving a small one-bedroom apartment, they couldn't fit everything into a 15-foot truck. They spent a significant amount of time not actively working, contributing to the excessive delays. To make matters worse, I felt pressured to pay additional cash just to get them to finish the job. They also left my belongings in inconvenient locations, making it difficult to get settled. For example, a heavy chest was left on its side in a walkway, creating an obstruction I couldn't easily move myself. What should have been a straightforward move became an exhausting, stressful, and costly experience. Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and efficiency.

Showed up late due to traffic from a wreck but was ok. Got onsite and worked hard to get it done early. Used their industry knowledge to streamline our storage unit to squeeze a square peg into a round hole. A+ job from start to finish.

They were late and not super great about communicating the why with me BUT once they got there they explained it was super bad traffic and a wreck-all things beyond their control. So, ok. And every time I called the office, Brad was super great about answering me and getting me answers. Once the guys arrived, the work was completed very well, quickly, and professionally! I even offered to help with a task at one point but was told oh no, you hired us for that!

I seriously can’t say enough good things about Josh and his cousin! It was just the two of them, and we had A LOT to move, but they worked so hard and got everything done within the time we had. They were both incredibly friendly, kind and easy to work with, which made an already stressful moving day so much easier. We were also really limited on space, and they went above and beyond to carefully stack and organize everything so it would all fit. They made sure we wouldn’t have to go back and rearrange everything later, and I really appreciated that extra effort. Honestly, some of the best movers I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful they were able to come out tonight and help us. They made a long day so much easier. I would absolutely recommend them!

This is the second time I’ve used this company for moving. This will be the last. The details of the job were not told to the movers sent to my house. They were not prepared and got 2 things moved in 2 hours. They did work very hard to try to get a heavy fridge out of my basement but I took up the entire two hours I paid for and I had to go buy them moving straps. Not their fault, not my fault. After two phone calls to the owner, he agreed to send out two more movers the next day for no charge stating it was clearly a miscommunication on his part. They sent out two more movers the next day who showed up with their girlfriends to help. They required constant direction despite being told several times what exactly was to be moved. I rented a 30 yard dumpster for the job and they were just throwing things into it haphazardly and with no regard for the amount of space they were taking up to the point that they ran out of room. So now the dumpster is overfilled and I have to fix the issue.

What could have ended up being a long day (nothing to do with the movers) ended up going very smoothly; the crew did fantastic getting the contents from two U-boxes to my storage unit and with impressive speed and organization! I'll use them again.

I scheduled this from out of state for someone who is local in Cincinnati, so accurate communication was critical. They kept me informed throughout the process and addressed any concerns I had. The onsite crew was very professional and helpful. Did a great job. Would definitely use them again.

I am going to be honest. We hired two movers for two hours. Two people showed up but only one worked. Mike worked hard and was very helpful but the woman with him only moved one lamp and was on her phone the rest of the time. So, it took twice as long as it should have. On top of that, the two of them seemed to be verbally fighting with each other - something like they were ex-spouses. (?). We are not adding a tip because we paid them cash for a tip.

The male & female arrived 42 minutes late. My spouse had to help them with the move. He actually moved more than them. They had bad body odor and hygiene. They had to be directed during the move even though they’re the movers. They only had one person physically capable of doing the move. I would not use this company in the future and they were not worth the cost!!

The movers themselves were great and helpful. I did not receive any communication before the move, so I called the company myself the day before the move. We discussed the move and mutually agreed on a start time. The next day the movers were told an incorrect start time almost two hours after the time we had agreed on. Luckily the movers were extremely flexible, and dropped everything to make it to the move only a little after the scheduled start time. When I tried to call the company to discuss, the phone was never answered and I could not get in touch with them again.

If I could go back in time, I would have never hired these movers. Brad, quoted me 5hrs, two movers only on a move for a three+ bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the third floor to a much bigger house almost an hour away. I also specified that we had a multitude of books that two of my roommates avidly collect. Not knowing anything about hiring movers(and specifying that to Brad), I agreed. The movers took three hours to move bookshelves and a couch onto the U-Haul and then dipping out early to take off to another job. After trying to contact Brad multiple times with no response from Brad or the movers, we finally got ahold of Brad who was quite nasty to us. He finally agreed that he would send movers out tomorrow to finish the job. The other movers that came told us that we would have to pay them in cash! So not only did Brad lie to us but to the other movers as well! If you are looking for movers that are professional, competent and have good communication, look elsewhere.

Very Poor experience with this company. They were accommodating of moving our unload time up but that's about where the positives stop. The movers showed up and it was a gentleman and his girlfriend who maybe weighed about 100 lbs... they didn't have a dolly and they reeked of pot. I don't really care but we had our 1 year old son around and the house began to smell. I called Brad and told him this pair was in over the heads, as there was a lot of heavy items. He said that his workers don't come with dollys and we should have provided it. Didn't tell me up front about this? He would try to find someone else in the area and that was the last I heard from him. We got really lucky and there was a delivery nearby that had a dolly we were able to borrow. They wouldn't have finished without it. I had to help move quite a bit and near the end they were just sticking boxes in the garage. A large majority of the boxes did not make it to their correct room. Couple was nice but wrong profession.

Working with Crothers Brothers was such a great experience, I have honestly not had a better moving experience in my life - and I have moved around a LOT over the last 30 years. Communication for scheduling was great, they were flexible and understanding when I needed to reschedule, including rescheduling a second time at the last minute! My fault and probably very inconvenient for them, but they were so kind about it. The people who came to do the move were EXCELLENT - very good-natured, positive, professional, and just a total pleasure to be around. This was such a breath of fresh air after an awful week of moving. Even though I was exhausted, I ended the day in a better mood than when it started, thanks to these fine folks. I will absolutely hire Crothers Brothers again the next time I move, and would recommend them without exception. Great people and great work.

This is for the second crew that showed up to unload the truck into the house. My boyfriend and kids did more work than the male counter part of the team who had to be reminded by the female counter part that THEY were the ones being paid to do the work. The reminder didn't help. All in all, a move that should have taken 4 hours max ended up taking over twice that long. I could have saved $300 and done it ourselves.

The whole thing was a cluster. The first crew that was supposed to be there to unload the unit called off so we waited for another crew to show up. That crew was awesome by the way. Then when we got to the house, we had to wait 2 hours for another crew to unload the truck into the house. My boyfriend ended up doing more work than the guy part of the crew who had to be reminded by his female counter part THEY were the ones being paid to do this, quit making my boyfriend and kids do all the work. A move that should have taken 4 hours max ended up taking twice that long. I would not recommend this company.

Honestly, the guys were really nice, but had some flaws with their service. Understanding that it was late, but they were not taking their time with my stuff. Some of it was throw done, beaten up, and chipped. My walls are damaged and I just moved in. They were very talkative, which made them stall to waste time and go over the limited schedule. Ended up paying for an extra hour. They didn’t have the proper equipment to handle most of the furniture. Overall I would give this company a 1 out of 5 stars. My dad and I ended up helping them bring my stuff upstairs. Last thing, we let them use our restroom, but at least have the common courtesy to not drip on the floor or the seat as well. I just moved in and things apartment was looking rough. Honestly, I would like my money back for all the damages. I have pictures to prove this.

The 2 that came out did a great job working with me to figure out how I wanted stuff packed and communicating throughout the process. Both were friendly and happy to help. Whoever their scheduler is mistakenly scheduled them for 1 hour when I ordered 2 hours, but they stayed for the whole 2 hours to make sure I got what I paid for, even though it made them late for their next job (which I'm sure will impact the review they receive from them, but I'm happy they honored what I paid for).

The two men that were sent to do our move were horrible. One was late in arriving. The one that arrived on time left the dog in his car all day. When the other one arrived, he had his girlfriend in the car waiting for him all day . I heard lots of gripping and complaining between the two guys. One seemed to know a little more about how to move furniture than the other thus ending up with several damaged pieces of antique furniture. I’m going to have to pay a Furniture restorer to come in and take care of at least four pieces of furniture. I am not happy with the service I was given at all. I did tip both of them at the end of the move just because I felt obligated not because of the job that they did.

I wanted to have 4 people for 2 hours. Instead 2 guys showed up for 4 hours. One of the guys was high and can smell the weed on him and the other was upset because he had to drive so far and wasn’t getting paid for travel time. The disgruntled guy worked hard and the high who was high didn’t place boxes and things where I asked like kitchen stuff was in the basement. Topping it off guys work was done in 3 hours and we had an hour left. The owner said they can go to old house to help pack up more stuff however the guys said No and they left hour early. Owner still hasn’t reimbursed me.

I just want to say Thank-you for all Jeremy and Lucky did. They called before they came. Went right to work. Jeremy loaded the truck quickly and efficiently. They both were very professional. I got a phone call the day I made the reservation and the day of, they showed up on time. Worked the whole time, Were professional, finished ahead of time. I didn’t have a truck to unload or load they moved furniture up and down stairs and into the garage and out of the garage. Didn’t hit walls took all precautions. Would use again. The only reason I didn’t tip is because I paid for 2 hours and they finished in 45 min. They were a huge help.

The two guys who packed us were nice, but did not do a great job. They used way too much packing paper and bubble wrap. We ran out and had to get more. Upon unpacking, they wrapped plastic cups in bubble wrap but not breakable dishes. The wadded up several pieces of packing paper for no reason and stuffed them into the boxes. They packed several fragile dishes together without any paper in between them and so some were broken. They left an hour and a half early and forgot to pack four cabinets in the kitchen and finish packing two closets. I packed the whole bedroom myself. Then the next day, they did work hard to load the truck but it was the sloppiest truck packing job I’ve ever seen. And I’ve used moving help multiple times in the past but not this company. They did end up going over the moving time I booked and stayed until the job was finished, which I appreciated. But then the owner charged us for an extra hour even though total time was only over by half an hour. DO NOT USE THEM

The two men who came were great! They called, were on time, and quickly did the job. They were also very polite. Although, I never heard from the company prior to the move date so I had to call them and mentioned we were moving a refrigerator and he said he will make a note to being a dolly, and guess what no dolly. Which mean two men (and my husband) had to attempt to move it. Overall, we are happy bc the job got done and the movers were great.

One guy whined entire time. Other guy avoided carrying things at all costs. I told them repeatedly we only wanted them to carry heavy things because my wife was ill and could only do small boxes. One guy stayed in truck, other kept carrying small boxes. Repeatedly asked them to stop and only carry large items my wife could not help me with. Took extra 10 - 15 minutes but finally got them to carry large items then when I gave them the code the told me I had to pay additional for going over 30+ plus minutes. My wife had timer on her phone going and told them of their actual time and the said no extra charge and left. Personally I think these guys were too old to be doing this kind of work professionally. They were kind and polite. And constantly were on their phones.

Very friendly. Packed the truck to the top like I wanted. They were patient with my crazy house, stairs and furniture setup. Even pet my cats that were caged up to be sweet to my fur babies. The weather was after the hurricane so they worked thru the rain with no complaints. I’d ask for them again. I have their number saved in my contacts. I couldn’t manage the move on my own (53yrs old) with the big items and the constant up and down my stairs but they did it. Great Job!

The guys started off good, but the 3 flights of stairs wore them down quickly. I would have expected movers to be in better shape. They had to take a few minutes break between each trip. I was moving stuff with them and was taking 2 trips for each 1 trip they were taking.. their long breaks ended up costing me 2 extra hours. Once they got tired, they started damaging our furniture. I hired Crothers Brothers to move two pieces of furniture within my apartment and some boxes and totes outside to my utlility trailer. I used them in the past to load a POD for a move so I knew I would get good people at an affordable price. Brad’s communication for scheduling was outstanding. I received a call from him within 5 minutes of making my reservation online to confirm the details. I had to reschedule at the last minute and he was still able to get me scheduled for the next day which was what I needed. Communication prior to move day was non existent. They were over an hour late. They DID communicate about this & things happen, so not the biggest deal. REEKED of smoke. Very friendly. Maybe too friendly as they liked to stop & talk instead of work. It was a husband & wife team. I paid for 2 laborers but got 1.25. Wife stayed in the truck ‘organizing boxes’ while husband loaded. She was smoking & on her phone. The only time she came in was for the big items & that was a whole show & ordeal in itself. They both complained, repeatedly, about their back problems. I ended up having to pay for an extra hour because they didn’t get the work done in 2. I think they intentionally took longer to get that extra. The team that unloaded the truck, dealing with more steps and icy conditions in another city - unloaded in ONE hour! Do not hire this company. This was the worse move, and actually one of the worst days of my life. The movers showed up 5 hours late, and even though we had hired a 4 person crew they showed up with 3 people and a 16 year old child. The child sat in the car most of the time and did not help. The movers were slow, argued constantly with each other, and took a smoke break after every single thing the brought down. It took them 3 hours just to move enough to fill about a 4th of the moving truck. They told us they could move our 1 bedroom apartment, our garage, and a small storage unit. They only got a few things out of the apartment and we had to move the garage and storage unit ourselves. One of them made an antisemitic comment, and they were extremely unprofessional. They had no business being movers as they were clearly not in shape enough to be movers. They damaged the stairwell of the apartment and took a giant chunk out of a corner of a wall in our house. Do not hire these movers.

Did a very poor job of packing the truck, with lots of space left unused. Then they left with a lot of boxes and belongings still unpacked stating that it would not fit. I had to pack the remainder of those belongings myself, and was able to get the majority loaded. Still had to leave about $1500 worth of my property behind. There was space farther in where things could have fit, but that would have meant I would have had to unload a third of the truck and then reload it all myself. I decided to take the hit as I had to go. I had 5 hours paid but they only stayed 4 and said their time was up. I have the confirmation from them confirming 5 hours, but they insisted on getting out of there after 4 with the job incomplete. I would not use them again.

They did not bring a dolley like the movers who packed the truck, so we ended up helping unload some small items to expedite the process. Again, great overall, only recommendation would be to confirm with client if they will have a dolley or not to maximize efficiency and reduce potential injuries (we were unable to rent one since out of stock at uhaul, and Penske trucks come with dolley but there weren't available Penske trucks for this move).

The guys were an hour late when they showed up the younger guy had a broken hand. When we went to unload it took them an hr and ten minutes to drive 25 minutes away and they needed gas so I had to give them 20 bucks. Genuine 5 star service. Highest recommendations. Brad, the manager-owner reached out quickly and kept in contact to make sure everything was timely and done correctly throughout the process. The movers, Richard and Zack, were friendly, efficient and respectfully careful with the furniture and belongings. They arrived early which was a pleasant surprise - and were happy to get started immediately. I will also mention that Brad seemed to be conscious of his staff and their efforts. They called when heading towards us and said they were running early If we wanted to start early. We did. They completed the job quickly. They were moving very heavy concrete fountain and other lawn items and did it quickly and efficiently.

Once we got to our site there were numerous broken items that were stacked poorly with the furniture. There was a very heavy ottoman stacked on top of our couch back. The legs of the ottoman buried into the couch wearing a hole in the fabric. This couch is not even 6 months old yet.

This was not a good quality move. There was not a hard established time for the movers to be there so there was a misconception on start time. Secondly, one of the movers could not carry a lot of weight so that delayed much of the time also because they did not bring a dolly. We had to rent a dolly for them to use so that the job would be finished in time. Third, there were multiple smoke breaks. They kept lighting cigarettes to smoke and also caused a delay. There was a request for additional money since they said we kept them over time, but we were able to dispute this with the owner. I would not suggest this company for use in the future.

I was given a schedule window of 9-10am for a start time, with the guarantee that I would receive a phone call while they movers were 30 minutes out. After receiving a phone call at about 9:25, the mover proceeded to call me every 10 minutes, but his phone would die immediately after calling me. At about 9:45, the mover called asking for directions into Cincinnati because he couldn't figure out his gps through his phone. As I'm not from Cincinnati, I told him I couldn't help with that. If it were specific instructions on how to get to the house (nearer to my location), I could have assisted, but it seemed as though he was still about 30 minutes from arriving, which would place him after the window. Finally, I called to request a cancellation of their services around 9:55am as we still had no updates and my self and the other people assisting with our move had already almost completed what needed to be done.

The mover contacted me once by email and told me they could not get ahold of me because the number listed was disconnected. My number has not changed. They were fast, but they just threw stuff in boxes, didn't check lids on products packed. Had cleaning supplies spilled in boxes when unpacking. What a mess!

The guys did a fantastic job of unloading the 26' truck into 2 different storage units. They folded the furniture pads for me and were a big help every step of the way. Highly recommended.

two guys were nice but we couldn't open the door without our belongings falling out. We also have severe damage to our furniture & other belongings. We would not recommend.

Two movers unloaded a 2-3 bedroom U-Haul truck into a second floor apartment in less than two hours. It was well worth the excellent price. I highly recommend Crothers Brothers to anyone for any job.

Moving can be exhausting, that is why using Crothers Brothers was such a releaf for our family. They were very professional, kind and, most importantly, they did their job, and did it excellent.

The guys were slow at packing the truck and didn't do a good job packing it. I had a 26 foot truck. There should have been way more than enough room. This caused the time to go over.

Overall, I was very impressed. My only complaint is that they stuck a label from a furniture pad onto a piece of furniture and I ended up spending an hour with GooGone and chipping some of the paint.
