• 26’ truck, 2 loaders plus J. They never stopped working. So nice and fun but worked through the storage shed in under 2 hours, drove to the house pick up and the same- all loaded in under 2 hours with the same fun spirit they had all day. J gave them supervision if they needed it but they packed a big puzzle of boxes in that truck. I enjoyed the day and no unpleasant surprises. Thanks Jake- your family and work ethics rock!!!

• I was very disappointed that it took over 3 hours to move a mattress bed frame fabric headboard couch coffee table 2 sofa tables 6 Mirror Paks a credenza that the mover broke the legs off and 6 boxes plus 5 miscellaneous items ex small dog gate I helped the ENTIRE time SO THREE of us or it would have taken 5 to 6 hours. The female mover disappeared several times and did not come back at all at the end of the move. My beautiful new couch was drug on the pavement and has permanent damage that cannot be repaired I would NEVER recommend this mover and the ONLY reason I used this mover is because they are U Haul recommended VERY upset that the owner tried to rake me over the coals for an additional 200 dollars at the end of the move without even mentioning the damage he caused to my furniture OR compensating me for the damage of the leg he ripped off the credenza and the couch Angry this happened

  I paid for the broken pieces that were breaking before I even touched them. They were glued back on. There was also a team of paramedics there that was blocking the path. That took time as well. And as far as my employee (disappearing) you told her to take a break.

• The two movers who helped me with my move were just awesome. They arrived ahead of time, and got right to work. They were knowledgable about the best way to pack the truck and keep everything protected. Additionally, they listened to my concerns about what items were the most important to protect instead of making any assumptions. I was only putting things in storage until I find a different living situation. If that happens to be in the valley, I will definitely be using them again. If it's somewhere else in the state, I will be having them help me pack the truck again. As a side note; I got canceled on by two other companies before I booked with JandR. They're not the cheapest, but I would pay more again and again for the speed, care, and reliability. I can not recommend them highly enough.

• The hardest working crew I have ever worked with!!! On time (early actually) and they did an excellent job with very little instruction needed. They moved quickly, carefully and loaded everything to maximize the space of the truck I rented. I underestimated how long I would need them and when I asked if they could stay longer, they cheerfully said it was no problem. I especially appreciated that they took the time to sweep out the back of the U-Haul truck making the return that much easier. This was money well spent, as I could never have done the move without them!! What they charged, for the work they did was value based, fair and I felt that I definitely got my money's worth. Having the company's owner on the job assured it was done right and Robert who helped him, did the work of 3 people, I'm not kidding. There is a reason they are the #1 rated mover on the U-Haul website, they earned that spot.

• Jake was very professional and knowledgeable about how to pack the uhaul. Unfortunately, his crew not show up or communicate with him so he had to find someone else to help. We started late because of this. Online it says that he offers a cleaning service but that is not true. He communicated in person that an ex-employee did that but he no longer offers the service and needs to take it down. It would have been nice to know that before hand as we planned to utilize the cleaning service. We had to come up with an alternative. Jake did offer to do the cleaning but he would need to buy all the cleaning materials and come back. He is a fine loader and a nice guy.

• While there were some positives to the help received, the negatives far outweigh them. Unfortunately, the helper that was brought (part of a 2 man crew) reeked of marijuana, and while I don't care what someone does on their own time, when I am paying for a service I do not want my property or items to smell of marijuana. In addition, this individual was extremally slow and did not put any real effort into any work that was done, resulting in a large number of items not being loaded, including the main areas and items not being loaded. Several items were also damaged during the move due to how they were loaded, while it could have been worse it was more than expected given how items were packed. Multiple ratchet straps were tied to the point they had to be cut to remove from the truck, we were not told these were being tied or given an option to help avoid this; resulting in multiple straps being destroyed now. Overall the only good thing is the owner was good about communicating.

• The moving helpers, J & R Movers did not show up for my job. They were scheduled for 9AM on March 24, but no one showed up, or even called me. I tried many times to contact the moving helper, but no one would answer the phone and I could not leave a message because their mailbox was full. I waited several hours, but still no moving helper arrived, and I could not reach them by phone. SO, latter that day I finally contacted someone else to load the Uhaul Truck for me. The other moving help people did not finish loading the truck until 7PM, so I had to change all of my plans by one full day, including picking up the Uhaul Auto Transport Trailer, Motel Reservations, and the Hired Helpers for unloading the Uhaul Truck where I was moving to. SO, J & R Movers Should NOT Receive Any Money or Compensation of Any Type for Anything. • Slow... Also found many heavy boxes stacked upon light boxes. Luckily, damage was minimal. They did fit everything in, however.
