  • Two movers arrived on time and communication prior to the move was excellent, which helped set clear expectations. They were courteous, hardworking, and completed the move more quickly than anticipated. They were also receptive to direction, willingly moving items to specific rooms or downstairs as requested. Unfortunately, there was an issue during the move when one of the movers dropped a lamp base rather forcefully. While he acknowledged the incident at the time and stated it was undamaged, a closer inspection revealed that the base had been significantly compromised. There was also a minor incident where a glass of water provided during the move spilled. However, the mover took responsibility and promptly requested paper towels to clean up the spill himself, which was appreciated. Although the pricing is on the higher end, the quality of service overall was strong. This moving service would likely be especially worthwhile for larger homes or more complex moves.

  • Ben and Keith are two professional and friendly movers who assisted us with our 2-bedroom apt. move. They were on the ball from the start, from when they confirmed their contract to checking in the day before, they did all the heavy lifting without complaint, and ended their 2-hr contract as good-humoured as they started. They arrived ten minutes early and worked very hard for the two hours. We couldn’t have managed it without them! They deserved their fee and the tip we gave them at the end!   • I booked Capital Moving helpers through U-Haul websites 1 week before moving in an I have been very satisfied with the work Ben & Keith did. Communication with Ben was easy, nice and clear. They were very accommodating knowing that U-Haul delivered my container a bit late. They arrived before my container was delivered and swiftly moved my stuff within 1h or so. It went very smoothly and they made the whole process easy. Plus, they are very friendly. I will definitely book them again for my next move..

He also offered to move the truck, which I think was really nice of him. I also reserved this service on short notice. The night before the move, I booked it for the next day in the morning. Instantly after booking, they texted me, and we scheduled the time. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Joggers Movers. They unprofessionally canceled my service two times in a row just an hour before the move, although the time and date were confirmed through a phone call the same day in the morning. I cannot recommend Capital Movers enough if you care about your plan and time

  • Wow! Super glad Ben and Keith were available with next-day notice. They were very quick, friendly, good at 'tetrising' my odd bits and bobs. My 10' cube van was loaded in about a half hour with 3 elevator loads (roughly equivalent to studio apt furnishings). When there was a messup at my unloading location they offered to wait out the delay with me. I'm bookmarking them for future moves; I definitely recommend their services.

Ben, the owner, was super responsive from the moment I booked the job, confirming the job shortly after I booked as well as texting with me on the day of.   • The movers were excellent at planning how best to pack our huge amount of content into our moving pod. They were patient, and were thoughtful about even removing a repositioning items to ensure the maximum could be put it. They were also great at ensure sensitive content (like tvs) were carefully wrapped and positioned so they wouldn’t be damaged, and provided us with guidance about what else could be packed in. I would HIGHLY recommend using movers, and specifically this moving company, because they made what’s otherwise a very stressful part of a move seem easy to do. The staff were excellent and helpful throughout. Go with Capital Moving - they are worth every penny!

While we were waiting, Ben’s team got to work with moving all of our items into the hallway while Ben repositioned our truck to a better spot. He also politely advocated for us with the other movers to get them to finish their job faster. They also stayed behind and extra 1.5 hours to ensure we got everything into the truck. The game of Tetris that Ben played with our boxes was amazing, and he managed to use all 20ft of our truck to the maximum capacity. All three of them were friendly, professional, fast, and careful with our personal belongings. If we were to move again at any point, we would hire Ben and his team again without a second thought. Ben's his kind and professional tone came through, and was carried out throughout the entire move. They arrived a few minutes early and busted their butts for the next 3 hrs. I worried that they'd hurt themselves but was so impressed how amazingly strong they are, lifting my huge blueberry planters like a pitcher of water -- their arms are like pipes! They took care not to damage my things, and were incredibly respectful, even upbeat (singing and humming)! That's the kind of mover you want on a tough day of moving -- people who like their job and are enjoyable to be around. I'm sorry I didn't have much food to offer them at the end before they had to rush off to their next client -- they totally deserved it! It was my time hiring movers -- it won't be my last.
