• The movers we had were awesome, and super helpful - so grateful that they helped me and my roommate with the move and made our lives so much easier. However, they had a previous move job prior to ours, and whomever the people they were helping move for the previous move job vastly underestimated how long their move would take. One of the movers called me at 8 am to tell me about the situation, and asked if it would be okay to push back our move by a couple hours. In my tired state (I had just woken up), I agreed - long story short though, that delay resulted in not having gas at our new apt for 4 days. I understand that our movers were stuck between a rock and a hard place, and that I had agreed to having our move pushed back, but I really wish that I was never presented with that option - am hoping that a strict policy would be enforced. The movers were really apologetic and were truly great people though, so I have nothing against them.

• This company was amazing! I had some moving plans for unloading fall through last minute and I booked them 2 days in advance. They communicated well, texted me with updates as they were headed to me, and even saved my moving truck a spot to unload since I was little late meeting them due to traffic. They were super efficient, friendly, and even helped block traffic to better help me street parking a 15' uhaul in a spot they saved for me right by my door, since I was late meeting them. HIGHLY recommend these guys for your moving needs!

My parents were doing a cross-state move and fell behind with packing; however, they were able to get on the road and make it here in time to be unloaded today. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat! Dispatcher Kirill was absolutely amazing in communication & keeping us informed. Please hire these guys if you need any moving help in the area! Sean in particular gave us numerous great ideas regarding protection of furniture and organizing the load to avoid shifting during transit. Both Sean and Mike were extremely personable, I highly recommend them and can only hope to get someone nearly as good on the unloading end tomorrow.

• Excellent service and so fast! We didn’t get started until about 1.5 hours after our booked time because I accidentally locked us out of the condo. They were super understanding and knocked out the job loading our Uhaul (2bed condo) in less than an hour. Everything was packed efficiently and safely. • My daughter moved from out of state into a 3rd floor apartment in Chicago. The 3rd floor was technically 4th with 44 steps up. We hired Academy of Moving to help and boy am I glad we did. They did an amazing job and knocked it out in about an hour. We joked that one of the helpers was like a pack mule. He strapped 6 boxes together, put it on his back and carried it up all those steps, then returned for a desk. I would definitely recommend Academy of Moving.

• Overall did a great job of packing the truck and nothing broke during our move which was very much appreciated! They did an excellent job of moving things down from a third floor apartment and helping move things into our new place. Movers were professional and friendly. The only drawback was that it wasn't communicated to us that they wouldn't have a car to get to the unloading destination so we had to drive back to the U-Haul building to pick up my car to transport us all to the new place.

  This feedback is unfair. The truck was much smaller than needed. We had to reload the furniture to fit. The customer himself walked on his furniture in dirty shoes. • The two gentlemen movers were extremely respectful and professional! They were very friendly and never hesitated to help us out. • Our experience with academy of moving was amazing! After booking the owner contacted me and talked through our moving plans and what we would need and he was very thorough and helpful. We booked a pretty short window and the guys did everything they could to maximize our time. They were incredibly efficient and organized. We have a large couch that took an hour to get through our door when we moved in and these guys had it out of the apartment in 3 minutes, I was amazed. • The two men that showed up, one couldn't speak english, so it was hard to communicate with him about what we wanted loaded. The other was fine. • We will not recommend "The Academy of Moving". They arrived an hour late. They scratched many items and our walls, and didn't use the moving blankets we gave them.
