The guy from Ledgewood auto body wasn't very pleasant. It seemed like we were more of a bother to him than a customer. Only reason I went there was because it was the only trailer in the area. Next time if its not at Kozimors I wont bother.

Everything went well after we left the original location in Eleizabeth, where they were ready to rent me a truck with a bent rear axle that was rubbing the back of the wheel well on one side and centered on the other. They had about 10 other trucks there but no others they could rent. They had one with an ABS light on but stated that it was against there rules to rent that but where ready to give me one that makes left turns by itself.

truck windhield wipers didn't work well; I think the windshield washer fluid was just water (didn't clean anything); dome light didn't work, truck had funny odor.

Overall our issues are more with uhaul, than with the pickup location. We originally were planning to get a truck from a different location. Uhaul.com recommended this one, saying a truck was not available at the place we preferred. This location was further from our destination, but our mileage was not increased at all. (So we ended up going over miles allotted.) Also, this location had different hours than our original and we were not aware that they closed at noon. The person working at the location stated they called two #s we had left on account, about 45 mins before they were due to close for the day, but strangely one number was a cell phone from a uhaul order we had done over 7 years before and no longer have. (And, we never put that # anywhere on anything having to do with this reservation.) And the other was our home phone #, our credit card billing #, which we obviously did not receive because we were not home at that point. I had stated my preferred form of contact was email, which I would have received. And upon early check in online, I provided a cell phone # we also could have been reached on. In the future, if you change a pickup location, uhaul should also update the mileage allotted, including accounting for basic things a rental company should know, like which bridges and tunnels allow uhaul trucks and which don't, which can, of course, change the amount of miles that will need to be traveled. Also, uhaul needs to make sure the new location holds the same opening hours as the originally requested location, or otherwise make sure customer is aware of possible changes to availability of pickup times. The wording could be clearer on the confirmation of the truck. Like instead of saying your truck will be ready by 9, which implies it can be picked up anytime after 9, say your truck must be picked up between the hours of 9-12 pm, after which the facility closes and the truck will no longer be available. Luckily, we were able to make it work, but after the stress of it all, I'm sure we will look to use a different rental company in the future instead.

This was the backup location due to my fist guarantied location did not have the trailer I was promised. The second one did have it. There was no wiring extension that was required, so we borrowed one from the only other trailer there was on the lot. Bad experience! Lost an hour finding second location and did not receive notice until we got to the first location!

There are relatively limited options so of course I will recommend the location. That would have actually been preferrable since it was not clear where to drop off the equipment. Better signage referencing "drop-off" would help. I was told by telephone that I should look for an orange box as well and couldn't find one. On top of that, the telephone customer service reps had an attitude. No one told me I was supposed to leave paperwork behind, so I had to leave my only receipt. Plus, I was told to take pictures of where I left the vehicle. Just didn't seem as professional as I would expect in this regard.
