So you’ve recently moved to Calgary? Once the moving truck is dropped off and the boxes are unpacked, you can dive in and learn what your new city has to offer. Here are some tips on how to make living in Calgary feel like home:

Culture

Once you’re living in Stampede City, you will see that you’re living among friendly and diverse people. According to Calgary Real Estate, 20% of this city’s residents are born outside of Canada. Of these residents, there are many young and talented people, making this city thriving and popular.

Jobs and Economy

According to Calgary Economic Development, this city is home to energy, financial services, film and television, transportation and logistics, technology, manufacturing, aerospace, health and wellness, retail, and tourism sectors. Living in Calgary is can affordable option among the cities in Canada for a few reasons. One: it provides the highest personal income rates in the country and has provincial sales tax, or GST. Some of the top employers here are Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd., Husky Energy and Imperial Oil.

Transportation
