When I scheduled the hitch installation, I told he person taking my information, that I needed a class 1, 1 1/4 inch hitch for a bike rack. What I got installed was a class 3 hitch. Now I can use it, I have an adaptor for my bike rack, but, FWD Equinoxs with 4 cyl engines are only rated for class 1. there is no wiring so I could never tow anything anyway, but I am not at all happy with what I got. I will use it, but you guys should check your software to prevent this from happening to someone else

Normally, I wouldn't waste an ounce of effort to report an unprofessional, grumpy, shrew like Tammy but, judging from the reaction of other Uhaul employees that have experienced her, my case isn't an isolated incident. Yesterday, I called the 800 number on the UHaul.com web site (this is a national call center) to get a hitch installed on my van. Cheryl took my call and was extremely courteous, professional and accomodating. She even texted the Morse road location to confirm everything while I was on the phone. They set an appointment for me the next day. I was to pick the hitch up at one location, and have it installed at Tammy's location where I had an install contract for 1:00pm. 3 hours after the appt. was made I get a call from Tammy, in an accusatory and very angry tone, stating that there's no way I should of made my install appointment, and It wasn't going to happen. I said that I didn't make the appt, u-haul did and texted you to confirm. She went on to say they didn't "text", that they "messaged" her. She said the call center screws up the schedule all the time, and that I have two choices, she's gonna cancel or reschedule for Friday, I explained that Friday didn't work. Still in a raised, berating voice, pronounced that those were my choices. The experience was ridiculous on so many levels It's hard to believe that Tammy is the General Manager of that location. U-Haul can do better than that!
