Insure that the lights work. Stock the less expensive hitch/ball combo, I felt robbed. Serve one customer at a time, start to finish. Stock proper safety equipment. I had to travel over 10 miles to get the correct safety chain "rubbers". It took nearly 2 hours of my time to rent a trailer and make it "safe". I waited so long that I hooked it up to the hitch myself. All this wasted time, got us hailed on when we were loading the trailer from storage. I was not pleased, I should have gone to a "real" Uhaul location. I expect a full refund, except for the insurance. I used to work for Uhaul, and am running this situation up through local management.

BE HONEST and don't call customers liars in regards to not having a prior reservation, make sure equipment is in good working condition, ie all lights working.
Make sure establishment is available to answer phone when customers call with concerns, and make sure when equipment is to be dropped off they are actually open or supply a safe and secure location to leave equipment. We had to leave a 6x12 enclosed trailer on the side of the road for them because the gates were locked. NOT A GOOD IDEA......

I drove the truck about 10 miles, put 2 gal. of fuel in before I returned it. The gauge read a little higher than when I picked it up, but I was charged for refueling. I wonder why this is? Feel taken advantage of.

Excellent service and return policy on a Sunday, when closed. However, I would have loved a secure drop box for the key. I felt ever so liable for the vehicle after dropping it off.

I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone nor will I ever give them any of my business ever again. They put the wrong hitch on my car and once I realized it he next day they refused to do anything to help despite the fact that they were the ones that made the mistake, They made my move from Laramie, WY a horrendous and expensive mess and I can honestly say they are the worst and most unpleasant business and manager I have ever dealt with.They are irresponsible and rude and I would love to see them out of business.

I was not given enough miles to complete the journey, and explained my concern to the employee at the time of rental. As a result I ended up with a substantial overage charge which was very disappointing. I don't think she understood what I was trying to explain when I said 85 miles would not cover the trip. the other uhaul location I rented from a few weeks before gave me 150 miles at the same price point for the same trip, and that worked fine. I feel like I was setup to incur overages right from the start. on a side note the cab was full of leaves and the back was full of small pieces of wood and trash. If I am required to clean the vehicle when I am done then it should be clean when I receive it as well.
