Genuine Movers subcontracted the work to a company called Dream Of Moving, also out of Philadelphia. But Genuine Movers subbed it out so the work reflects on them. There was little communication from them to me before the move, and I had to do all follow ups. I had to offer them a later start time just to get them to respond, and they were late for that new time as well. I ended up doing the majority of the loading myself. During the unload, a wall was scuffed, which I’ll now need to repair. They were also very overt about how (little) they were making, which made me feel pressured into an oversized cash tip. Based on the lack of communication and lateness, if I hadn’t been told they were making fifteen an hour; I would have tipped zero. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT hire the cheapest possible movers. Lesson learned here. The company is NOT welcome to reach out to me, U Haul please contact me.
