The drop box was broken and open. We were afraid to leave the key in it or in the vehicle. Had to call UHaul customer service and tell them we had to hide key on premises. Customer Service hot line kept dropping my call. Hold music then click.

Every time I have used U-Haul, regardless of location, it seems that I get poorly maintained equipment. This one had a busted fender that was about to fall off. There was no mention of this even though the person writing the contract went and looked at it. There was another just behind it, but I was told that it was reserved. They finally had someone put some screws in it when I refused to take it. The last truck I rented from U-Haul several years ago , had excrement all in the cab. I didn't notice this until too late. Due to these incidents , I never recommend U-Haul to anyone. There needs to be a concerted effort to ensure the quality of what your dealers are renting to people. No one helped with the hook up.

First, we were never informed that this was a locally owned truck and therefore we could not do a one-way rental. When we called the U-Haul number we were told we would have to speak to the regional office to make any changes to the contract. When we talked to them we were there would be a $300 penalty for dropping the tuck off at a different location and the person we talked to was extremely rude and not focused on providing any decent level of customer service. Overall we were extremely dissatisfied with this U-Haul experience.

I had a confirmed reservation for pick up in Springfield, GA today (1/18/13) and when my husband arrived to pick the truck up, the clerk informed him that the internet had been down since the day before (Friday) and she could not rent him the truck. If indeed the internet was down since Friday, when she called at 5:20pm ON FRIDAY to confirm our pickup, why did she not say then that there may be a problem? When she opened the next day (today, Saturday, the day our pickup was scheduled), why did she not call me right away to inform me of the problem? My husband asked to speak with the manager and she refused to allow him to do so. All she said was she was sorry. She did not offer any type of assistance in locating another truck or anything. We then called customer service and explained the situation and the lady on the phone helped us get another truck rented. I requested that there be an appliance dolly with the truck and she said there would be. I received an email confirming the truck and the dolly. When we arrived at the new location to pick up the truck, there was NO DOLLY!! We had to go to Arrow Equipment rental to get a dolly at a higher cost than uhaul would have charged. The truck we finally did receive was dirty and had serious dents in the side. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed!! I would expect some compensation for our inconvenience. I would like someone to call me regarding this issue and discuss what can be done. If I don't hear from anyone in a reasonable amount of time I will dispute the charge on my credit card. Thank you.
