They should have gone out and inspected the trailer but could/would not.
The trailer was dirty and it had a big pile of dirty blankets that took up a lot of room. The wire that connected the tail lights was laying across the floor very loosely -- we had to constantly look out to avoid tripping on it. During travel the wire came apart and so then we had to drive w/ the worry of getting stopped for having no lights.
Employee on site did not have access or training to accept trailer only the manager who was not on site. Contacted U Hall 1 800 # that transfered me to a local rep who was kind enough to email me with details that I droped it off without being checked in. A U Haul rep called me 3 days later asking if I still had the trailer. Had to explain to her what was done.
The key drop box was difficult to find. The clerk in the store asked for the key saying that they would hand it in to their boss in the morning. I didn't believe them and said, "How do I know I can trust you?" Then they cussed at me and angrily gave me the key back, and I dropped it in the drop box. Poor customer service.
