The truck they gave me to use for a one way move of over 1100 miles to florida had 71,000 miles on it and leaked water from previous damage.I asked for a different truck and they now had one with only 2300 miles and no damage imagine that. Very disappointed especially after I asked numerous times about getting a newer truck for the move and being told they always send out the newest trucks for long distance moves. That turned out to be false.

In a facility that has hundreds of storage units on two levels, the staff should know enough not to rent the upper unit and lower unit in the same row on the same day. I rented a lower unit this weekend and moved things on two days. In both cases I arrived to find my unit access blocked by the rolling stairs used by the person directly above my unit, forcing me to wait until they were done loading their unit, which cost me several hours of moving time.

The customer service representative Chris was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of assisting me with rectifying an alert from 2009 he kept taking customers who entered after me, causing me unnecessary delays.

The hand truck and moving blankets are taking up space. Almost forcing you to use them. Explain to the customer that the estimated amount of gas you will need to return the truck with no charge is estimated on the paperwork you are given. Maybe some driving tips are helpful as well. Thank you.

The U-Haul staff at Yonkers answered all my questions, and advised on the best deal, leaving the truck at Brattleboro versus a return to Vermont. We look forward to returning to U-Haul when we complete our move at the end of the summer.

I felt that though I rented the pads which were only $5 I didn't use them and I didn't open the plastic bag, I was not credited. This is something that should be told to customers. But overall the service was fine.

Was ok with truck but very very disappointed with the staff. Staff should be more understanding of clients problems and not be so forceful and cold. If you want customers back you should try and i mean try to help your customers and not make them feel like you just care for the mighty dollar instead of trying to help them in every way that you can. Never going back there again.

Actually inspect the item being rented as opposed to the customer experiencing the result of your negligence. Both tires on trailer were completely worn with threading coming out of tire which created air leaks in the tires. This could have led to catastrophic injury from failing equipment at highway speeds. It also ruined any type of schedule I had for my planned trip. A formal complaint was made to Uhaul.

The girl was very nice that I picked the truck up from in NY BUT the paper she gave me had recommended fuel fills to get back to where it started. I picked the truck up with 3/4 of a tank and ended on 3/8. The paper from Uhaul said 18.7 gallons. I put 18 in and the fuel reading was PAST FULL! With how much gas costs I find this absolutely unacceptable that the recommended number of gallons was WAY off, that was probably like 15 dollars too much. And there was nothing I could do about it. I just used Uhaul for a move cross country and something so little like this would make me look around next move, which I do often. It just felt wrong that the estimate was SO much more....sad

The bag that's atatched to the wall with the quilts is definitely in the way and you prices per mile is way to expensive. I used a 10 foot truck for a one bedroom to move from the Bronx to white plains ny. There were no other sized trucks available and I had to make two trips. After I was done and had put gas back in the haul this move cost me $300. That's way too expensive. I also was originally reserved a 14 foot truck over the phone through the call center who had given me the 24 hour option to bring the truck back and hours later the location itself contacted me directly and told me that for that truck it wasn't an option. So they threw off my whole move last minute and I ended up with a 10 foot truck that cost me $300. I just might have to explore other options in the future before I just go and rent another uhaul.
