A charge was added to our bill. We brought our own dolly to use. We did not touch the Uhall dolly and we were charged for using it. We did not use it. I made several calls. The billing person was rude and said it would take 2 weeks to look into it. We would be notified of the result. We were not notified and we were not credited. Perhaps because the charge was for $7 Uhaul doen't care to fix this. Uhaul shoud credit me $14 and see how it feels to be taken advantage of. I had no choice but to go through my credit card company.

U-Haul needs to allow customers to rent blankets for a one way move a lot easier. It took the agent 35 minutes to figure out how to charge me for 1 dozen of them .In the process he had to call another store and corporate to get assistance. not only did it put me behind in my schedule but also the two customers behind me. the agent never reviewed any of the features of the truck. He told me which truck it was, handed me the keys and left. He didn't have a name tag on and indicated to someone on the phone that he was just a week end warrier. The experience left me wondering if I should look for another rental company.

My experience with uhaul this past weekend was absolutely awful, they waisted hours of my times and made me drive back and forth for no reason. I would rather spend thousands on a trailer than have to go through uhaul again. I have used them 3 times now and 2 of the the three times was a joke. I hope I've made it clear with how unsatisfactory my experience was with this unprofessional place.

This location was fine, but way out of my way. I reserved online and requested a town close to me location. The call came in 1 day before the scheduled move date, and nearly sabotaged the move. It would be better to have the truck in the location requested, especially when reserved 3 weeks in advance.

When someone reserves a 20ft truck to be picked up on a certain day at 11am don't call them at 11:20 am Thursday to tell them you gave it away and when they inist they need it tell them they couldnt have it overnight. Then when they finally agree to a 17 foot truck that they need to now make multiple trips with demand it be returned before 7am saturday, even though it's rented by the day and they had to pay for Thursday at 1:30pm to Friday 1:30pm and then also Friday to Saturday 1:30pm. As well as pay for more miles used because more trips needed to be made. And definitely don't tell the person it needs to be back because someone else reserved it after you had NOT held the truck that was reserved for them in the first place. Definitely take down the ad that states if the reservation is not there you pay $50 because people shouldn't have to argue for a guarantee. Then they informed me I couldn't have had the 20ft truck anyway because they are for "one way" trips only. I told them they should inform people of that prior to placing a hold on their credit card and them showing up the day they are moving to get the truck.

Awful! Deceptive sales practices; would not honor one-way trip reservation! Made reservation on May 29 for one-way move with pick from Columbia, Ct. on Sunday May 31, with the truck return to Jersey City, NJ, by June 2. When I arrived at Hertz Columbia on Sunday, the Hertz representative was rude and refused to honor the reservation telling me that Hertz Columbia does not rent trucks for one way trips, and requires that the trucks be returned to Columbia. Furthermore, I was also told that the Hertz reservation system is wrong and does not recognize policies at local branches. Based on this situation, I was forced to agree, under duress, to return the truck to Columbia, and paid $310.42, on my charge card, rather than the $229 quoted per my reservation on May 29. However, I in fact returned the truck to Jersey City and have disputed my charge on my card with Bank of America. I was also told in New Jersey that I would be charged double for Hertz returning the truck to Columbia. In addition, I had an unpleasant conversation with the Hertz manager in Columbia where he tried to play lawyer with me and enforce a contract. The bottom line is that based on Hertz's actions here, I have hired a lawyer to handle this matter, I am in the process of filing a complaint with the State of Connecticut Consumer Protection Department, and I will only pay the $229 on my card as per the original reservation. I also find it interesting to note that your reservation system on line is still quoting $229 for the same move from Columbia to Jersey City one way, with no mention that Columbia does not permit one-way trips, and that should a consumer select this option they will not only pay over $300, but be forced to drive the truck back. It is also important to note that Hertz advertises a company philosophy of one-way moves. Furthermore, this feedback form was generated from my May 29 reservation indicating a one-way move from Columbia Ct. to Jersey City, NJ.

Walk out with the customer to verify all is what you're telling them it is, (ie. full tank of fuel). Keep the scheduled reservations. When customers make a reservation, online, or otherwise, and it's been confirmed with multiple emails and phone calls, DON'T change it last minute and tell them they can't have it that long!!!

The moving truck was ready when i arrived and drop off went really well the employee on duty was super at drop off. The employee i spoke with on the phone to reserve the vehicle was very difficult to understand and not very friendly.

I reserved a 10 ft truck 2 weeks prior to needing it. I called 4 days before to just check on reservation. The it was down hill from there. I wanted 9-9. I had to take 7-1. It was very rushed for the move. Luckily it wasn't a far distance. We were very inconvenienced.and did not pay for truck. Why make a reservation if the company doesn't hold to it!

The pick up wasn't quick and easy but the drop off took me about an hour. One person working behind the counter and several people ahead of me. The customer at the counter was looking to rent storage. That was a big ordeal. If not for that experience, I would have been totally satisfied.
