The computer system did allow for a week prior reservation through local place of rental. I had to go to uhaul website to reserve vehicle. Uhaul computer system needs to be updated for rental through the place of rental.

I wouldn’t recommend U-Haul to anyone. Worst online service ever
Carman S1st---We made it clear to the rental person we wanted Scottville Mi. because it was about 18 miles from our lake house. The paperwork stated we should deliver to Manistee, MI. which is 50 mi from our house ( The change was made at the corporate level, the local person agreed and tried to change the corporate chosen drop off place to Manistee). Apparently, the Scottville place had too many rental trucks, so we were shifted to Manistee. This would add about $20 of fuel and a lot of our time including my wife driving to pick me up. Clearly the motive of U-Haul was to have us pay in time and fuel to restock it's vehicle distribution locations at our cost. Was this some new VP's idea to advance up the corporation chain? MICHAEL CI PAID WHEN I PICKED UP THE TRUCK. I FILLED IT BEFORE DROPPING IT OFF. AND THEN I PAID MORE MONEY AT THE DROP OFF. THEN THIS WEEK, OVER 2 WEEKS LATER YOU ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE MY CARD WITHOUT NOTICE, AUTHORIZATION, OR DOCUMENTATION EXPLAING THE CHARGE. I THINK THIS COMPANY HAS BECOME A GIANT HIDDEN FEE CORPORATE CRONYISM AT ITS WORSE.

Jamie LWe had ordered padding but found out that the drop location didn’t have them. It was too late to go elsewhere. We ended up with damaged furniture from where ttey rubbed against each other.
Mary MTook me an hour to get into the truck because of the mobile pick-up sucks. Then I get charged over $100 extra apparently for gas when I brought the truck back with now gas than it had when I picked it up. I have pictures to prove it. I will not be using this sight anymore.
Billy RShowed up and had a crew waiting to load. There were no dollies. Had to drive 20 miles to get them. Owner of the pick up location told be its all uhauls fault. They never send the equipment needed for rentals. It was not a good experience for me.
Brian WI did online check, because they were closed. The check in process was way more difficult than it needed to be. When I add my sister as a second driver, it changed everything into her name. Other than my email, my signature, my credit card. I called Uhaul and they told me if we changed it, it would cancel my reservation. The check engine light was on, there was a chip in the windshield, the interior of the cab was dirty and plan gross.

Dean LForged my signature on a contract they did not go over with me and charged me for extra insurance I declined on my quote. Had to move other trailers out of the way myself in order to get to one that was rentable. Hooked everything up myself and took my own hookup photos. Actual U-HAUL representative was working another job across town and wasn’t even there for pickup. Did everything through his friend over his cellphone on speakerphone. Not authorized. No I know why I never saw a contract and everything was forged. Will never do business with this location. I’ll be filing a complaint with U-Haul and demanding an investigation into his business practices. And disputing the extra fraudulent extra charges that I didn’t agree to. This guy is not representing the U-Haul brand well at all. Cut ties with him. Stay away! Also no moving blankets were available either. Even though they were “reserved”. Total BS.
Casey PThere was very little gas in the vehicle when we picked it up. The contract said there should have been almost a half tank. There was under 1/4 tank in it when we picked up. I called and reported it to U HAul. They said they made a note of it but didn’t offer any repayment to me for having to put about 15.00 extra in the gas tank.

Cindy BAfter spending over an hour in a scorching hot parking lot on the phone on wait I was told that I wasn’t going to be able to pick up my truck as scheduled! Meanwhile I had five guys at the house waiting to fill the truck. All five guys were being paid by the hour. I had to send them all home. My truck was scheduled for 9:30 and I wasn’t able to pick it up until after 2:30. I was only able to get two of the paid helpers back which made for a much more difficult move. I made a complaint already and full expect some sort of compensation!! I could be more unhappy with U-Haul and this experience! I will never be using your services again!

Michael RThe U-Haul app crashed during the check in process and I was unable to complete the full check. The issues with the app started when I began uploading pictures. I had problems with the app the last time I rented with U-Haul also.

JOHN DI'll NEVER use Uhaul again for your trailers The trailers front sits on the ground we have to physically lift aprox 200lbs of trailer weight in order to to get it onto the ball of our truck it's almost impossible for one guy to lift the whole weight of this trailer I I struggled for a long time to unhook the trailer from my truck because I couldn't lift it up off the truck bar because it was so freaking heavy You need to have trailer stands on the front of your trailers with a winch so you could raise and lower the front tongue of the trailer You should not have to have two people to hook the trailer up to your truck or to unhook it
