If there were a selection for very poor, I would select that. The location did not arrive at the appointment time and I had to call. The proprietor was off site and had me check in remotely. I then had to hook up the trailer by myself. This would not have been an issue except the trailer was parked on a hill facing inwards which required me to move the trailer 180 degrees while keeping it from rolling down the hill into the road. To make matters worse, the parking lot was uneven which would not allow me to push the trailer back away from my pull vehicle narrowly averting damage to my vehicle. Then the charges were increased without my knowledge to almost 50% more than quoted.

The drop off center was not manned and therefore I had to make 2 trips to drop off the trailer because I did not have a phone to complete the process. There was inadequate parking space for the trailer in that the lot was small.
ROSE SGreat service

LEONARD PRead my account and the call to action report. I will never use U-Haul again.
DANIEL GI had a 6x12 trailer reserved for pickup at 9:00 am on July 24. The facility was closed. After waiting about 40 minutes, I called U-Haul service. They completed the paperwork and said that I could hook up the trailer myself. I was by myself and there was no way that I had the physical strength to pick up the tongue of the trailer. I finally found a number for the owner of the business. After several calls the bottom line was that he was at work and could not help me. I had to find a jack to lift the trailer. I finally left with the trailer at 11:15am. This experience was totally unacceptable. U-Haul should remove this dealer from their organization...
Donald YHave my rental equipment available when I paid for it, and have a least 1 person available to help when things are missing. The dollie and blankets where not put in the truck even those I paid to rent them. Then had trouble getting the keys out of the lock, it was stuck. Not a good experience.
Meagan CThis business is marked proudly on the outside as a Black Owned Business but the sad part is they make that look bad. I get there 45min early and didn’t get to leave with the equipment until I had been there for 2 1/2 hours. I do not blame the young man that was there as he told me he had never rented anything out before. He had been hired to clean in the shop. He tried his best but couldn’t get it done so he called the owner who walked him through it over a face chat. Well it is obvious the owner didn’t know how neither. I had given them my reservation and the cost U-Haul had quoted me. He ended up charging my card over 200 saying it was part of the U-Haul deposit. This made since as I hadn’t rented a trailer before. The receipt said something all together different so I would not sign for the charge but called U-Haul instead. The rep there transferred me to management as she said they screwed it all up horribly. It took her 10 minutes to fix but got it back down to the $70. The owner said they were open until 5 pm but he was out working his lawn service business at the time. So I return about 3pm and they are all locked up. There are 4 people and 4 numbers on the door. Oh and there were 2 signs one that said open the other said closed would return at 8am. So I called the guy that had been on the phone and get a disconnect message. I called his wife’s number and she was confused that the place was closed. She said to just leave the trailer and she would take care of it when she returned. So I took a picture and ensured I had a witness and left it. Unless I absolutely have too, I would not consider renting from this location again. It was not the young man’s fault by no means. I tend to think it’s U-Haul and the owner’s fault. U-Haul needs to know who they have working their equipment and that they are doing it right. The owner should have known what he was doing and should not have left an untrained person holding the bag.
Bruce MConvenient location with staff who did the return and check in for me since the app was not cooperating.

Clintonisha MThey had our returned trailer sitting there for 2 days and never tried to check it in or find out who it belonged to. When we got there at 7:30 AM to turn it in, no one was there, so we dropped it off and luckily took pictures of where we left it. 2 days later, I'm getting a call from a Jackson, TN location asking where the trailer is (no idea why they were calling because our drop off location was left blank). When I tried to call the Jackson location at 4:30 PM, no one answered the phone. I was put through to the corporate uhaul number. They were able to get it all sorted out because we had the pictures to prove what we were saying was true. They called the Trenton, TN location, and they finally went and checked the trailer in... again, 2 days after it had been returned.
