Waited 30 min to confirm with U-Haul it was ok to park there as someone in lot said not to park there as it would get towed

Bit of a hard time finding the office as it's located inside a completely unrelated business with minimal signage/indication that it's the U-Haul location. But the owner/manager Mike was very personable, helpful, and flexible. As my first time experience renting a U-Haul, this was encouraging.

Provide what you promise to provide. I requested a trailer hitch for the rental pickup truck and when I arrived it was not on the vehicle. I had to make a separate trip and drive to a second UHaul location to get the trailer hitch.

The place was suppose to be open at 10am and the owner of the thrift store opened at 10:20am. I thought it was unprofessional and I would not use this place of service ever again.

The store for pick-up was closed when it was supposed to have been opened at 10:00am. The store personnel did not arrive at the store until 10:30am. He was very rude.

Mike was the gentleman helping me and he was very helpful to see that I was in a hurry. He got my info quickly to allow me to get on with the process. Very helpful and a nice guy.

Location was incredibly sketchy and I would certainly not pick up here again. Aside from that, the process was relatively smooth and the person who helped us at the store was nice. Just an awful location.

Shop owner was 30 minutes late (past our confirmed pick up time of 10AM) to open the shop and spent time checking on all the trucks in the lot before attending to our rental, did not communicate well around the process and casued us to waste over $100 in staffing costs due to the delay.

I was redirected here from the location at 7610 Van Nuys Blvd and am incredibly happy that I was. After waiting 15 minutes at the first location, I was then told the car I reserved was unavailable. I waited another 10 minutes only to be sent to the location I rented from. Once I got to the second location, all was great. The process was fast and hassle free.

Parking was impossible, the location was hard to find. The truck made a crazy creaky noise every time I took my foot off of the gas. It felt completely unsafe to drive and I couldn’t take it on the freeway

I paid for an appliance dolly in my order. The dolly wasn’t there. I was directed on the phone to go to a location to pick up the dolly. That location had none. I had to go to yet another location for it. I wasted time, gas, and miles to retrieve the dolly that was a vital part of my move.

The thrift store is disgusting (and I LOVE thrift stores!!) The area is dirty and unsafe. The owner guy at the counter charged me for insurance without asking me I went back in and he was trying to freak me out and I really didn't have time for him to redo the transaction as I had been at @2 OTHER UHAUL LOCATIONS THAT AFTERNOON) The owner guy needs to ASK not just add it to your bill. It was too scary to drop the truck at night! The info was bizarre, I called in to fix my charges...totally SHADY.. NEVER WILL I GO THERE AGAIN> NEVER EVER EVER

The truck was dirty the window was completely covered in dirt and I spent almost an hour trying to unlock the lockbox it was extremely hard ..and the location didn’t seem safe at all.

Hi, I booked a Uhaul for the Sherman Oaks location on Hazeltine almost two weeks in advance for pick up on 4/29/23 and when I got there they didn't have any cars to lend out anymore. I've rented from this location before and had a great smooth experience but when I got there no one was helping me or achknowleging that I was there, I eventually was told when i asked that there were no trucks to rent out. I went to the thrift store van nuys location on a whim to get another. I was able to get one, but service was so strange. I was late to move things and I was also charged the 10 dollar coverage I didn't want. While I appricate the man at the Van Nuys location getting me a van, this whole experience was a mess and a major headache.

We rented a 26ft truck and the parking lot was awful. Clearly not enough room to park a larger vehicle . Smaller trucks fur done but this lot is not equipped for larger trucks.

Awful experience. This was supposed to be an after hours drop off location and was closed when I arrived with no drop box. I was on hold forever with uhaul to try to figure it out only to be told I would have to go back to the location the next day to drop off keys. The area was terrible, the place was once again locked with a note on the door that said they would return Friday. This should not be a drop off location listed on the site, it was awful and caused me more work after an already exhausting move. I personally think I should be partially refunded for this rental.

Excellent friendly staff. The van was in excellent working condition. The staff was still working a little after 6 pm and inspected the vehicle without any problems pickup and return was very easy. Love the new U-Haul app.
