The gas tank was at a quarter full during pick up. I was also charged for the safe move charge when I opted out of it online.

Omar is the owner he was super helpful patient helping me rent the best truck for my needs and very kind. I recommend anyone use this location if they need to rent a U-Haul. The truck I got only had 1900 miles on it, it drove like a dream! Super easy return and fast access in and out to the freeway.

I had originally requested mobile pick up but the truck I ordered was there but had not been checked in by the location. I had to call the location because while it said they open at 9 they were not there. When I called the gentleman sounded like I had woken him up. He arrived 30 minutes past my truck pick up time and didn’t have any of the rollers or blankets that I ordered.

Convenient and amazingly easy to rent a U-Haul using the mobile feature. Only disappointing thing was that I received my U-Haul below empty, fuel light engaged. Shouldn’t have to get gas immediately and question if you’ll even have enough gas to make it to a station.

The lock on the rear end was missing so when I drove the "gate" raised and essentially opened. No one showed up at the pick up location until 20min of waiting. Meanwhile we arranged a different truck but had a greater time constraint.

The owner was not there at pick up or drop off, meaning I had to go through mobile drop off which is considerably more work for the customer. I was told the van I requested was not available when I was in fact looking at it. I had to drive a box truck which got the job done but is never my preference due to the noise, gas usage, and overall comfort. U-Haul resolved part of the issue by issuing a partial refund. But I could not recommend this location.

I had worse experience at this automated location (which does not have live staff) than at locations where I can talk to people. The app was not getting my location, even though I set permissions. I had to call for help. I was directed to go through the website, but in the end we run into an issue that emergency contact had to be phoned in and confirmed. It took a while to reach my wife to confirm. After that, it took many tries and attempts to scan the back of the driver license. All in all, I spent over an hour getting the truck keys. Once I had the keys, the app / website had trouble accessing photos, so I couldn't contest fuel level, which was slightly below what it said it is online. In the future I will look for locations with live staff in it.

Since the location only has one employee working the office at a time, warn customers in advance to keep knocking/waiting when visiting the location, in case the employee has had to step out momentarily.

The only problem with the truck is that the steering was very bad. It felt like the steering wheel was connected to the front wheels with a rubber band. I mentioned this to the associate when I dropped off the truck and she took it seriously and said she would have it taken care of. Otherwise the truck was clean and in good condition.

i originally went to the one up the street a bit, but the guy there was so incompitent i walked out. the second place i went to, the woman was very nice and helpful, and getting the truck was a bleeze. the truck though was pretty beat up and dirty and had some stearing issues

Shop was closed during reservation/business hours and owner was unprofessional. It took me 2 hours to get my rental. Rental had a horrible smell inside the cab and no gas in the tank. The right rear tire was also low upon pick up.

I dropped my keys in the lock box by accident was stranded without my keys, car, my purse in a bad scary area at almost dark. I could not get any one from this location to come and was told by U-Haul that no matter what I would just have to wait till morning to get my keys. This was the most awful situation. I was tried and dirty from moving . Everyone needs to know if there is an emergence such as this that U-Haul will leave you to die.

The address of the location is incorrect--it took us to a paint shop. We had to call the shop for the actual location. The person managing the shop later on ended up by charging for things we didn't ask for such as the insurance coverage and gas that wasn't needed. Would recommend you find an official U-haul location if possible.

We originally were suppose to drop off the truck to the Oceanside location. However, after picking up the truck we were contacted by a corporate office To switch our location to the Vista office because the Oceanside office was at capacity. Come to find out the Oceanside office was not at capacity and so it appears we were made to go out of our way for no reason. On top of that, it appears the corporate office didn't even have a conversation with the Oceanside office to ensure that this was the proper move....a little disappointing. Next time I rent a uhaul I will make sure to only communicate with the local offices.

literally awful, had 6 people waiting outside of the door because the owner refused to come to the office. our reservation was for 11:30, got there at 11:15, finally left with the uhaul at 12:40. very very incredibly awful.

Bill them correctly. Have employees there on time who do not change insurance orders on customer check-in, misrepresent cleanliness of equipment on return and overcharge for gas.Keep homeless people sleeping on property from accosting and intimidating customers. Horrendous experience.

The website and the app were both problematic, I had to call the support line to pick up the truck, and I had to have my brother download the app to do the return with his phone, because it wouldn't work on mine.

Waited 90 minutes for someone to show up and help us pick up a truck. Got there at 8 am and it was supposed to be a mobile pick up. Could not because the truck was not check in. The store was supposed to open at 8:30, but no one showed up until 9:15 am and then we had to wait until 9:30 for everything to get checked in and us to leave. And I had to call the guy and wake him up. The truck was old, and the engine made a terrible noise, the steering was so loose that it drove like a clown car. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL AGAIN.
