Tried to use the u-haul app and do a self return Saturday May 10th at approximately 6:00pm. The app was not behaving, so I took several pictures to follow up with my return on Monday May 12th. On Sunday May 11th, at approximately 1:30pm a representative from U-haul called me about my attempted self return and I explained that the U-haul app was not behaving and that I was going to follow up on Monday. He said that all he needed was the zip code where I returned the trailer. I gave him the zip code and told him I returned it to Ross Auto Service. He said he would take care of notifying Ross Auto Service to confirm the return and that I should be all set and I should receive an email confirmation Monday morning. I did receive the confirmation email. This was awesome customer service. Thank you.
MICHAEL HI cannot actually rate Ross Auto Service as I was never there. I did an after hours drop at my planned return location at Rutlader Outpost near Louisburg KS. Nearly a week later I received an additional charge for incorrect drop off location in Wisconsin! I’ve disputed the charge and am awaiting U-Haul’s disposition. Guessing they didn’t get it checked in after I returned it, and someone stole it and returned it in Wisconsin?

James RI called customer service, per the recommendation at my pick up location and the woman I spoke to advised me to drop off the trailer at a location without verifying it was correct. After arriving back home 20 minutes later, we were advised by text message from Brandon it had been dropped at the wrong location. That person ended up ghosting me in the process and just stopped responding to my messages. At the drop off location finally, the location services didn’t work and there is no other way to drop the trailer. The support received over those two interactions is probably the worst customer service I’ve ever received.
