When I picked up the rental truck, I mentioned to her that I needed it for over 24 hrs. Somehow it was booked as needing to be returned within 24 hrs. Why was I charged up front over $170 for a rental that was less than 24 hrs. I don't get to see the agreement before she sends me away. Then the drop off location calls me after 24 hrs asking where the truck was. I explain that it was for more than 24 hrs, so she says "wait a minute". Then hangs up on me after about 2 minutes. Nice.

We had to load all our dolly and furniture dolly into the truck for ourselves and the employee was rude weird. When we brought the truck back on time they tried to charge us again for two days even though we did not want it for two days before to pick it up early it was a negative experience and I would not recommend this to anyone I just pay for moverd the truck smell bad as well

Justin MMoving trucks should be available for more than 6 hours on a regular business day. I’m extremely frustrated that I couldn’t pick up the truck till 10-15. And had to have it back by 4. It cost me an extra $20 to return it later. However if you are renting moving trucks, the business should operate a normal hours. Keeping it open 6 hours is just a way to rip people off as you know most people take longer than 6 hours to move. I will never recommend this location to anyone. As well the truck I reserved was unavailable, as well as the furniture dolly, and 6 blankets. Pathetic service from this location. Just sad

Satvir S10’ Box Truck serves my needs in general, but the vehicle was quite dirty and did not function well with respect to climate control – the fan did not work so air was called, and the radio did not work.

Wont recommend this location.
Aditya RPlease check every thing including tires pressure before rent the car to customer. My 15 foot car has one driver side rear outside tire no air. Without loading it couldn't find, but it's obvious after full loading. My car has water leaking problem as well on the top portion of driver/passenger side. The leaking water from outside made wet for my inside stuff. I need compensation for my wetting stuff. This car has difficulty to fill up the gas problem. The engine timing belt sound going worse and worse along the trip too. I don't know why you don't check everything and show to the customer before they drive on the trip. It's very dangerous and irresponsible for long distance driving like my trip.

DAVID CTerrible service, they ask you to park in the only reserved spot, but guess what, that spot is taken by another one of their uhaul. They then ask you to park in a hr free parking spot, and guess what, its either taken by someone else or one of their uhauls. They basically dont want you to return the car correctly.

He also never took time to look around and in the vehicle which makes me think that the standard of u-haul fleet of vehicles is not being monitored.

Sheila RThis was an extremely frustrating rental experience. I find it unethical and misleading for the website to ask you the location where you'd like to rent your vehicle, but then be told only a few days before pickup, that your vehicle would need to be retrieved from an entirely different and farther away location, having to flip the bill for the extra mileage as well as lose the time on an already stressful moving day to find parking on the street. (Also not giving one the the renter an opportunity to find another option, because by this time, it's too late to find another rental company.) I chose the option to do everything online, ( to save time lol), but then it wouldn't work and I had to go into the office anyway. I was asked again to give the information ai had already done online, which ate into my rental time and my move time! Although the Representative was polite, without checking for the information already filled out on my booking, he was requesting it all over again. Then he told me where I would need to return the vehicle and where I would need to drop off the keys; they were separate by an entire square block, which I was required to walk after midnight alone. Regardless of being business and internet savvy, the website proved to be very confusing and I had to search all over for the instructions of how to return the vehicle, making it an even more exhausting experience after a difficult move. Plus all the pictures I was required to take and wait to upload! Even now while writing this review, I'm faced with the fact that you can't scroll up to even proofread what you've written. Overall, I think that companies like this need to take into consideration that usually when needing a vehicle like this, the person renting it, is under a lot of stress and physically exhausted. Anything they, the rental company, can do to make the experience a little easier, should be done. But instead, I believe that because they know there's not a lot of choices out there for renting, they feel like they can just leave it the way it is as people don't really have a choice but to use them anyway, do they?

Yung PWhen I was returning the vehicle, the U-Haul staff directed me to park in a spot that was clearly too small for the vehicle. He insisted that I park there, and it took over 20 minutes of communication for him to understand that the space was inadequate because he couldn’t drive. He even asked me to move two other vehicles so that I could park mine. I documented the entire situation with photos. This was a very poor experience.
Da YI looked online to ensure this location had a truck to rent for the day, it did show 1 available. Long story short, I went in personally to rent the truck, the guy there basically refused to rent it to me cause I wanted it one way from white rock to maple ridge. He didn’t want me to rent it saying but I have someone renting it tomorrow so you need to return it to white rock if you want to rent it. I told him the U-Haul website said it’s ok to rent one way? He still refused to rent it to me for a one way trip and kept saying I had to return it to white rock. I sat in his office and booked it online for one way and he reluctantly had to rent it to me! I can’t believe how much hassle this was and that he was willing to loose a customer and or expect me to be unconvinced by driving the truck back to white rock and have someone have to follow me to drive me back to maple ridge! Crazy poor customer “service”!
William SThere was a glitch in the system and I had problems having the location work for my phone, even tho my location was showing as shared. It took me an hour to get things working. The parking lot for the trucks is very small, there is enough for 5 spaces. After I left, 2 more vehicles arrived leaving only one small space free and I was unable to fit the truck into the space and had to leave it blocking everything. The employee wanted me to back out the busy and long narrow entrance to turn around and then back all the way in. There is only pay parking available to leave your personal vehicle unless you want to risk being stuck in the very small parking lot for the rental trucks.
Tara CTruck was not clean, sock and tissue in the door, and garbage in the back. Parking was bad, difficulties to park, to tight to turn. Service was great and I give it a 10. But the pickup location for the truck and the drop off location was a negative 10 (-10). They need to find a better location to park the u haul trucks. I am surprised customers have not had a accident or 2, when trying to back up the haul into tight spot.

But i had to wait 20 minutes because he had other customers, then he complained about having to stay late for me, i had to remind him that he told me to come in at that time and that my reservation wasnt until the following day. He also made a mistake on the rental contract and tried to overcharge me.

Zachary HThey don't open till 10 AM. There at ten and waited till 10:30 then phoned U Haul who said someone was on their way. The person who was supposed to open the store was sick. Couldn't they call someone! The information I received said pickup was at 8:30 AM and the drop off was in Yarrow. When I picked up the cube van I found out I had to drive to Aldergrove to drop it off. I was promised a $50.00 credit. So far I see an additional charge of $31.36.
Robert LTitle: Terrible Experience with U-Haul - Refused Refund, Damaged Schedule Review: I had a horrendous experience with U-Haul. The truck was in terrible condition, and the battery died just 15 minutes after pickup. Despite their mistake, they refused to refund my money. My entire schedule was ruined. I don't recommend this location for anyone or at least check out the truck carefully before you take it .

Harmeet SThe dealer told me the truck is $19 a day plus $0.89 per km, however when I received the bill there were multiple additional charges which were never explained to me. 1. $20 after hour service fee. This is ridiculous as we never asked the dealer to work after hours. I called on Friday afternoon and asked to rent a truck on Saturday morning, but he asked me to pick up the truck on Friday. So I went there straight away and waited for long time, as the guys was talking on phone, and processing other things in parallel while submitting the rental form for me. And now he wants to charge me $20 for after hour service! 2. $59.85 rental charge. What is it? The dealer said it's because I didn't stop the rental in my app after I returned the key, So the rental continued until he stopped it on Monday. But I've never installed the app and he didn't ask me to do that. He just asked me to park the truck at the same parking lot and drop the key in the u-haul key box, and that's what I did. Why it's charging me $59 extra? It's ridiculous that I am charged for $79 extra +tax. I need an explanation for that.
Wang XLet customers know to take pictures before dropping key as the app does not let you take pictures from your gallery , I took picture of dash then locked vehicle , dropped key .went into my rides car to go to app then find this all out. Other than that is was fine thank you
Tannis LWorker kept hanging up when calling before rental about me trying to inform my you her sister is picking the rental as I was stuck in another city and couldn’t make pick up. Tried saying “I hung up? Oh so we’re closed at 4 today. I called at 4:17 for the 3rd time and I stated online it says you’re open until 5… Oh I’ll wait for you then since you reserved the time.. My sister showed up and he was not very responsive and was on his personal cellphone majority of the time. At the end for returning the truck he said “you don’t need photos for returning it never asks when I do it on the computer” My sister informed “every time we return the rental it does ask for photos” We are never using this location and should not be with this ever as their customer service is not good and it seems the guy didn’t know English when my boyfriend called and when we were in person as I noticed his voice was the same guy who hung up on me. Horrible service ever.

This was really shitty customer service, and required me to use some of my VERY EXPENSIVE kilometres with my rental truck, to visit another UHaul location that actually had them in stock.
DOUGLAS G3rd time rqst to have someone call me re: fuel charge There is NO WAY I used 38 litres driving just 145 km - I filled vehicle before returning with 30 liters - an extra 8 litre fuel charge is excessive! Donald TI wasn't completely certain where to leave the vehicle keys when I returned the vehicle because the office was closed for the statutory holiday. I should have been more certain of that procedure when I picked up the vehicle. Otherwise my rental went OK. My pick up / drop off location was very convenient. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. I am satisfied with my rental experience.
Raymond TUnfortunately your staff there are useless I was booked in to collect the pick up at 10. To 10.30 got there at 10.30 only for the person of not her fault because she is new the person that should have been looking over her wasn’t there , then finally got out of there at 11.15, but when I returned it at 6.30 pm they had the cheek to say I was late bringing it back & tried to change me a late fee but I stood my ground & told the I booked it from 10 ish till 6 to 6.30 & because you incompetence staff I didn’t get on the rd till 11.15 am . So disappointed with the service & staff there
