I wish this was the location that my reservation was completed with. We had issues with the store, type of trailer, and the customer service.

CURTIS MI was charged an extra $175 dollars that I had to borrow and not sure if I can pay them back which will cause even more problems for me. Managment said I left garbage in the donation section. As soon as I put donations their people started taking thing they were the ones who left garbage NOT ME I am a person of integrity. I tried to reason with management but they were not having it. I even ask if I could pay half the answer was no, I even asked them to review the video and the answer was no. I am homeless and don't have a lot of money right now. all and all I was not shown any kindness or understanding, I will be telling all my family and friends not to use UHAUL! and I will be leaving reviews everywhere I can! If you want to write me a check for the $175 maybe I'll change my mind.

In fact I have rented 5 of the 6'x12' sized trailers over the past recent months! The service there was consistently above and beyond excellent and I would highly recommend this location. Heather Horton and her team helped us to make this move as painless as possible as we had time restrictions that had to be met. We realized the very day we had scheduled to leave the area that we needed another trailer and we were able to obtain one from this location. We were able to get it packed in time for our final trip. We are very thankful for all the help and support that Heather and her team gave us during this move.

The only nice person was one from AZ who helped us Me immensely. The others were rude and shouldn't be working in a public job.

I was locked out of my unit just five minutes before I was done with unloading my truck last night, but I returned in the morning to get the last few items stored. I spoke with the manager that morning and discovered the reasons and so now I know to arrive a few hrs earlier on my next loads. I have used the facility many times in past for truck rentals and storage. Storage location and prices are ideal for me. Overall a good experience, just the misunderstanding of my privileges this time! Luckily did not hinder success of my move!

Also, the asinine policy of leaving people in the dark about whether or not their RESERVED truck is going to actually be available until the evening before is pathetic, and guarantees that I’ll be using Budget for future moves, and will be strongly recommending everyone else do the same.

MARCUS DThis would be the 2nd encounter I have had with this location and their horrible treatment. The first was corrected by someone so I thought I’d try again. It seems this location is really just full of rude people. I wasn’t there right at 9:30 so I started getting calls to see if I was still coming. Multiple within mins of each other after I said I was on my way. I get to the location maybe five mins after, go to the key box notice the code already on the lock, I open it and the key is missing. I went inside to let them know the key wasn’t there and they had taken it out and given it to another customer. Luckily they were still there and the guy switched their keys with another one. I went to finish my online reservation and they had canceled it. I got to my location where the van was needed and finally got a new link for the photos. I took them and submitted not realizing that when they messed with everything they also changed the times I wanted to use it plus the price of extras I didn’t elect in the first. Fast forward to a bit after three while unloading and I get a call from Heather that I was supposed to have the van back at three and where was I? I told her I’m not sure why three as I had planned on using it for the day. She informed me that this is simply not allowed as other families need it and I couldn’t not keep it the best she would do is let me keep it till 7:00 pm but if I wasn’t back she would be calling the police to report that I have stolen the van. Heather claimed I was not allowed to have the van for 12 hours ever, online I was able to extend till 9:30pm and it was accepted. Regardless I took the van back instantly disgusted in her behavior. While there I had to ask her to get the money refunded that they over charged because I was told by the other guy he was charging it and there wasn’t anything he could or would do. Even inside when talking to Heather she was so rude and wouldn’t hear me at all telling me that she didn’t care i extended the time online other families needed the truck at 9 the next morning and I wasn’t going to keep it told me this is where she will tell me to have a nice day and started helping someone else. I’m super disappointed that nothing was improved at this location and more so that I have pods located in PA that I am paying for thinking this location was held accountable for the way they were the first time only weeks ago.

WILLIAM OIt was not clear that I needed to sign in on my phone, take photos, etc. when o arrived at my house to load I saw the text but could not get far enough away from one side of the truck to take photos. So I took the other photos (3x!) But it would not submit without one side. Super frustrating!
AUDREY GStore manager was a little rough around the edges. Apparently if you don’t retrieve your reservation within 15 mins of the time of pickup, it auto cancels. Location is hard to turn left out of so I’d recommend going early before traffic
KIMBERLY GReserved truck for a day and was told that I had to have it back in 4 hours because they had already rented it to someone else. The price was for a day, not a few hours. Very dishonest. The truck had safety issues. drivers side visor kept falling down, the clip that is supposed to hold it up kept falling out. I was told that the part was after an market part and not very good. If it was known to be a bad part, why was it in the truck, and why was the truck in service.
Paul SWith a location this size, you need more than three people to help. There wasn't anyone to meet me outside when I went to drop off, so I waited in a line, only to be told to go back outside for that person to actually be there to assist.
RUSSELL WRented a truck and hired a moving company in the app. Paid for 5 hrs got 3.5 and the reason being the company that loaded the truck did a terrible job stacking it and not everything fit and did not have time to go back and load the rest. I know I had room based on my previous move from Las Vegas and the company before did a great job of making everything fit
ZAN MEvery one was awesome. Thanks for the help. It is not easy to hook up a Tesla and the technician did a great job and only swore once. For me attaching a trailer is a three swear minimum so thank you.

DALE H | First ImpressionsThis pickup location was not my original pickup location. It seems as though UHaul presented me with an option to select a UHaul location that is no longer in business. The day before I picked up the trailer, I received a text that my pickup location moved. I went to that location and that new location indicated they only rented locally, not for 1-way trips. I then had to find another location that had a trailer. That ended up being just under 90 minutes away from where I was. So I had to spend an additional 3+ hours correcting a mistake that UHaul made. This presented additional challenges to our planning as we originally planned around picking up from the original location that UHaul presented on their site.

I think her name is Jen and she should be reprimanded. Thank you. Also my receipt shows charges that don’t make sense to me. I feel like I was way overcharged. Can someone help me with this? I haven’t had time to leave this review until now and that’s how I feel people are taking advantage of and this manager definitely needs to be talked to and or fired please I honestly feel like it was politically motivated and I am very frustrated. JONAH CI was contacted the day before that they didn't have the tow dolly but they did have an auto transport trailer. They said there would be no additional charges. The next day when I arrived with my stock (no lift) Ram 2500 with my standard hitch. They said that I had to buy a drop hitch so they could attach the trailer. They gave me the choice of buying a hitch from them or I could call around to try to find someone with a tow dolly. I bought a hitch from them because I didn't have time to do anything else. I didn't appreciate I was forced into spending more money because of them and that they made it my problem.

TIMOTHY WHeather is awesome, the gentleman that helped with the trailer tried to give me the wrong one and was grumpy, he dropped the trailer onto the hitch and didn’t care, upon returning the trailer it wouldn’t come off the hitch so I had to take it out of the truck and leave it with the trailer.

WILLIAM WThis wasn’t an option so I selected Clearfield town storage. They emailed me saying someone would call to schedule the time and location even though the location and time was already set. No one called. I got an email reminder the night before offering free storage. I had to call and they said my 15 foot reservation wasn’t available and it was going to a 10 foot and in Clinton. They didn’t do anything for costs for location change or size of truck.

RICHARD HIt would be helpful to have the trucks ready to use. My truck had a lot of snow on the windshield and as a short person it was difficult to clean the snow off. It also becomes a hazard to not be able to clean it all off

JANAE KWe went inside, one of the representatives at the desk was avaliable but went to the back to ask another worker to help us instead. He had us pull our car around, we parked behind another trailer, he unhooked the trailer then left and went inside. We waited in our car thinking he would come back, then a few minutes later went inside to see if there was anything else we needed to do. He never moved the trailer away from behind our truck so he left us in the parking lot samwiched between the two trailers. Inside they said we were fine to go so we had to move the trailer unhitched behind our car to the side to try to squeeze out of our spot.

DAVID CI brought up he fact that I was charged for a utility dolly without being provided on. I brought it up to some loser employee in an LA hat who clearly hates his job. He ignored my complaint, told me I was "all set", and fixed nothing. I expect a refund or I am sending more complaints.

sheree G | Overall ExperienceDidn’t even use the storage for the full free month as I was out before renewal date. Payment was taken just after midnight on the day due when I should have been given until close of business on due date to make payment. Only ever accessed unit once during rental period. Was going to cancel 2 days before payment but it was a holiday and google had the business listed as closed. When I explained this they said I should have called or come in. Why would I call or come in to a business google said was closed whether they were actually there or not? If it’s listed as closed people are naturally going to assume there is no one there to call or come in to. Went down there the same day payment was taken and showed them I was actually out of the unit and they refused refund or to pro rate for the period I would not be using the unit. On the phone they were very rude to me and were only friendly when I showed up in person. I could give you the benefit of the doubt for not being properly “moved out” of the unit up until the day it was due but to keep the full amount for a service I would not be using for 30 out of the 31 days charged for is the same as stealing. You just got away with over 150 dollars for services that will not be used. Doesn’t seem fair to me. I will dispute the transaction with my bank and if they don’t reverse it I will pursue alternate methods to have my money refunded above and beyond the facility itself

The other storage facility had mice issues they could never get rid of no matter what they did. Uhaul has gone above & beyond with safety measures, cleanliness, friendliness & professionalism, I would definitely recommend this facility, & I would certainly store here again should I ever need to in the future.

The only drawback was the bathroom was disgusting. When moving in my little boy had to use the bathroom. But when we went to go into the bathroom there was pee everywhere and the toilet was clogged. ALDY M | Overall Experiencei feel like giving two stars but they deserve 3 i guess. the only real issue is that when we put our fifth wheel there they never bothered to tell us that within a few short months they would be tearing down the covered storage and forcing us to move to another storage place with only a months notice. it's not easy to find storage for a 40' fifth wheel to begin with much less covered. we couldn't find another place with covered space so it's out in the weather. this is pure greed cause they are replacing the covered rv parking with more warehouse for small lockers which is more profitable. i would not recommend any u haul storage to anyone. they didn't even offer to help their customers locate suitable space for all the rv's and boats stored there.

Also, the pin pad that you swipe your card on is not legible and no one explains to you how to use it anyway so you don't know how to check in or out. Also, when I went to check out from my unit they said that everything was done and taken care of and then four days later I got a phone call saying oh we noticed your unit was empty. Did you check out? Super frustrating when I showed them the pictures and everything and I was returning a U-Haul that I rented that same day as well. I will never use U-Haul storage again as it is very inconvenient and it seems like things are taken care of but they are not. Very frustrating.

I was in the middle of loading and had both of my storage units wide open and my truck keys inside the locked Uhaul facility. Fortunately another customer was inside to allow me to secure my unit. Then the next morning, the sliding glass doors weren’t functioning so had to use the small door to do all my load transfers, punching my code each time and struggling to navigate the wide heavy carts through the inadequate access. This was at 10am on a weekend! Same trip, I got stuck in the elevator on my last load for 30min on the 3rd floor. (This was on Feb11)

In my opinion management is very poor quality.

It wasn't too hard to get my items to the second floor or find my unit. How ever when we opened my unit, the alarms went off. We searched for an hour for an office or someone to help us. I had to call the out of state helpline. The customer service representative was unable to reach the manager of the site, and she assured me I could leave my items without a lock and nothing bad would happen. We were there on friday at 6:30. The representative told me some one should have been there.

It was not till I went to check in that I found out that they did not have any on the first or second floor. The only one available was on the third or I had to take a 10x5x10 and 10x10x10 on the second. This was also meet with the additional cost, because the second and third floor were climate controlled. So not only did I find out that my reservation was not honored but it was going to cost more. The staff was friendly enough, but offered no real solution than the second or third floor at the higher cost. This is why I would rate poorly and would not recommend. Suprise costs and not honoring reservation are not positive signs or good customer practices. I did get a free month, but that was because of a promotion since a had a previous confirmation code from a different uhaul and it was done online.

Like the covid-19, clearfield location has adjusted it placements of the interior so that customers can still maintain 6ft status. Employees wore masks everywhere. I even saw there mandatory routine of disinfecting vehicles and storefront. I will say to any one anywhere. If you need simple as moving supplies boxes clearfield, dollies, to hitches clearfield, propane clearfield, all the way to trailers, trucks, box trucks ranging from 10ft to 26ft clearfield. Also open to closed trailers clearfield. And now there new gigantic storage three level ready security access 24/7 facility at least I believe there largest one in utah weathered controlled to put your trusted belongings CLEARFIELD!!!! David Woosely (Manager) and his team can service you in all those needs, and if they can't which mostly likely 99% they can, they will help you find a resolution to the problem. Remember 4 years I've been with them and I trust them and this location!!! Thank you U-haul of Clearfield.

No one ever reached out to me or confirmed that my request was fulfilled and I started getting emails acting like I was moving in. The manager didn’t even check to see if my unit was actually empty. He just claimed that my move out request couldn’t be processed because my lock was still on the door. My lock that is sitting in my car is somehow simultaneously on the door of the unit. The only reason I gave two stars and not one is because when I called in the employee didn’t argue with me and cancelled my rental like I wanted. Happy with her. I wouldn’t use this facility again though.

The distance to the unit was problematic to me, however, it was this facility that had available the size of storage space that I needed. The greatest disappointment was trying to communicate with the Office at the facility; it appears that the phone calls are transferred to the Regional Office when 5PM comes, even though the local office is open until 6 or 7 PM. In my experience, whenever the calls are transferred to the Regional Office, I can expect to be on hold for 15-20 minutes, and I confess that lately I have not waited the full 15-20 minutes to talk with the Regional people. These are really nice facilities, but if you need to talk with the local people, call before 5PM.

I was able to get the first month at no charge which allowed me to offload my trailer and find a house. The facility itself is brand new and the paint still smells fresh. The storage units were clean and functional. I liked that they were well lit and accessible 24/7/365. The facility key card/entry system was nice and the alarms on each unit were reassuring. I ended up setting the alarm off once or twice on accident. Both times a uhaul employee entered the facility to check. Only complain is that the staff member didn't question my need to be there.
