I reserved a 15 foot U-Haul 4 days prior to picking the truck up from the U-Haul location. When I got there, they told me that my reservation was switched to a 20 foot U-Haul (I never approved that). There was a 15 foot U-Haul sitting in the parking lot, but I was told that I couldn't use that one because someone else had just reserved it while I was at the U-Haul location

PATRICK MI never leave negative comments but this time I feel like I need to. It was obvious they had done their job in cleaning the truck. However, the profound smell of marijuana was overwhelming. I also do not think I have ever in my life had a more unfriendly interaction with someone who was supposed to be helpful. The lady that helped me at the counter had to have hated me. She was awful. However, the gentleman I booked it with on the phone, from the same office, was nothing but extremely friendly and helpful.

ashelie hI would like to thank and praise your Stockbridge, GA guys. Lochlyn Dunton and Jon Scoville. While traveling though GA Lochlyn pulled up beside me to let me know I had an issue with a tire. I followed him to the next exit and within 5 minutes Jon arrived and replaced the tire. Unbelievable great service. Uhaul will always be my go to for moving and I will always recommend Uhaul. Thank you again for making my move easy

Stephen SThe difference in the 2 locations was like walking in to a dark room and turning the lights on... No comparison at all. One a joke for customer care the other was very profession... One gets 5 stars.... And one don't.
Gregory DPay attention to maintenance. Truck cranked right up in Bham, drove to Decatur, tried to start, stone-cold dead. Wasted 45 minutes waiting on service. While waiting, popped the hood, found connectors to battery were only finger tight. Tightened as best I could, truck cranked right up, canceled service call, and drove home. Sticker on battery read 12/24 ... nothing wrong with new battery but whoever installed it didn't know what they were doing. Office personnel at reservation, pickup, and return were very nice, and the process went very smoothly. The font on the printed and emailed receipts is too small to be useful; there is no reason this needs to be so small (4 pt. maybe). Put the customer first! Overall, personnel get A, equipment gets D.

DINO RNotify people ahead of time of time that there is no place to leave your vehicle. I arrived alone to pick up the truck (we’ve always left our car when we rent a truck…..at least 15 times) and there was nowhere for my car. The man on duty allowed me to park it behind gates but when I arrived to drop off truck, the lady on duty treated me like I’d done something horrific by leaving my car- as if I just did it without permission. Customer service goes a long way and she was lacking. Therefore, we will continue to use the metro company on 280 and not this U-Haul location.

I made that reservation in October, requested a particular location due to its proximity to my daughters apartment, therefore it’s your responsibility to have a 15’ truck at the location I requested not notify me 2 days before I arrive that you need me to pick up the truck at a different location out of my way.

DENTON SI rented /reserved a 20’ truck. The attendant gave keys to a 15’ truck. When asked I was told that’s all there is. I was charged for a 20’ truck. I tried to make it work. I am owed a refund. The smaller truck ultimately caused the truck related goal to be more complicated and objective to not be accomplished. I’m disappointed in my uhaul experience. I have recommended this location to many people.
ROBERT CI requested a 10 foot truck and auto transport. Instead I got a 15 foot truck and had to pay much more in gas as I was moving across the country. They also didn’t have the auto transport on site, so I had to drive across town to pick that up. Further, my reservation was for 8am and no one was at the store when I arrived. I had to wait and call U-HAUL corporate who were not helpful.

RUTH SI would not recommend ANY u-haul location to anyone. Worst customer service on the planet. They sent us out in a piece of junk that of course broke down in a parking lot. Made us wait 2 hours and another hour for the mechanic to fire up the starter enough for US to drive that piece of junk to another u-haul. Didn't have to courtesy to bring us one. My son-in-law told them it did not sound right and was told by u-haul "Oh it's fine, just let it run a bit." Mechanic said that van should have never left the lot. Sat around and watched as my son in law...I'm a bilateral amputee...to unload and reload the other van. By now, we are 8 hours late leaving. We should have been there at 7:00 p.m., instead we arrived at 4:00 a.m. the next day. I'm an artist and it's how I make my living. It's the reason we rented a u-haul, so I could get to the biggest show of the year where 35k people come through. Because of u-haul I lost money for 2 workers waiting on Wednesday night = 250.00. Because of u-haul I lost money for 2 rooms of hotel that we were not there = 231.50. Because of u-haul, I lost potential sales for the first day, because we had to set up after the show ended the first day. My daily average is 1k - 2k per day = 1,000 minimum. Because of u-haul we had a miserable trip driving all night. I am diabetic, have other issues and take many meds = me vomiting and having dizzy spells the following day. The things is, u-haul could care less. Their customer service is horrible, everyone tells you something different. My rental total 650.00+. I requested a refund and was issued 19.95. An absolute slap in the face. The marketing president (what does marketing have to do with customer service?) said she would only do 100.00, another slap in the face. Do NOT do business with this company. There are much better companies such as Budget, Avis, Enterprise, etc...

William CHonestly, this Uhaul location is top-notch! The associates and manager(I believe Eric) exceed my expectations each time I have rented a van or truck. One evening, I made a three reservations by accident. The gal in the customer service area fixed it for me with a smile. The van I most recently rented I had not driven before. I was unsure if my table and armoire would fit. She was kind and truly glad she could help. And, she was spot on regarding the interior space!. The time before, I reserved one of the smaller trucks. When I arrived to return the truck the following morning early (around 545-6 am) , the manager was already there and was working inside and out. He was polite and kind. And, I must add that Holly, who was there when I first moved to the area, is exceptional. She always went over and above and helped me at least 7 or 8 times with various questions and each time, if I left a message, she promptly returned my call, and would always take the time to listen and explain if I had a question, even when she she no longer worked at that location. I would think she was promoted . The Uhaul 280 location is organized and everything is clean. What has impressed me the most is that they all work together as a team which enables the customers to feel valued. No matter what day or time, the atmosphere is pleasant. It is refreshing, honestly, to see people who work hard and are efficient, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and who seem to really like what they do. *Names may be misspelled

HALEY Hhave used this location before -- very good location. Staff seems a bit overwhelmed... most of the work seemed to be falling to one person (managing calls, checking in, checking out, etc.).
RUSSELL LI had a truck scheduled with the 24/7 pickup and the store decided 5 minutes before my pickup time to cancel my truck without so much as a phone call despite the truck being available. I just got an automated email that it was canceled. I had to call the corporate line to get a truck that same evening for my move. Upon returning the truck, they erroneously charged me for a missing utility dolly that was never provided despite my stating on check in and check out that I did not have any dollys. I again had to call the corporate line for assistance. I have used multiple uhaul locations and rented quite a few trucks in the past and never dad so many issues. I would use caution using this location.

When I arrived at Auburn location to pick up my truck at time promised via my reservation, no truck was available. The attendant was very unprofessional and rude. He gave me no explanation as to why my truck was not available, and he gave me no alternatives. I was able to find a Penske truck so my trip was not a total loss.

Coupled with the high incompetence level I am surprised y'all are still in business. From the moment I rented the unit there were mess up after mess up after mess up. Not once has anyone apologized or even tried to resolve or compensate me for the additional money I had to pay due to the staff’s failure to complete tasks properly or even apply payments correctly. They either ignored me all together or told me not thier problem. I will never us U-Haul ever again.

Jose L | First ImpressionsI purchased a climate controlled unit and upon viewing, I noticed the building was very warm. Upwards of 90 degrees. I specifically told the guy showing the unit, manager Eric Bailey, that I needed a unit that was climate controlled due to my products that would melt and spoil in warm weather. Eric assured me that the air conditioner had been fixed that day and the building would soon cool down. I took him at his word and purchased the unit. A few hours later I returned and the building was warmer than before. It actually was hotter in the building than it was outside and it was mid 80s outside. I called the 280 Uhaul office and spoke with a girl there and she informed me that the air conditioner had been broken for 2.5 weeks and still wasn’t fixed but should be fixed by tomorrow (today, Saturday). This means that Eric wasn’t forthright about the building air working and sold me a unit under false pretenses. He wasn’t honest about the conditions of my unit and I had to spend the rest of my day moving my items that would melt and spoil from that storage unit to another one at a different facility. This took up time I needed to do other things and now, I’m going to have to take off work again next week to move everything from that unit. This is a major inconvenience for me. I paid for a climate controlled unit and that’s not what I got and I am requesting a full refund. I called Uhaul customer care and informed them of this issue. I was told that they are doing what they can to handle and that someone would contact me next week.

CHRISTOPHER C | First ImpressionsI reserved the unit well in advance and wanted inside, first floor, however we ended up getting an outside unit that was very dirty with an area in the corner that clearly leaked water...we told the staff and took pictures before we moved in, but they said they didn't have another option. At that point, there was nothing we could do since we had to move out and had a truck full of our stuff!! Then, when we moved out of the storage unit, our belongings were visibly filthy and there were bugs in the unit and in our stuff. We were not surprised, since the area that was wet when we moved our stuff in was never repaired, and was open for bugs to get in. Also, horrible customer service! Whenever i call, it rings forever, like 20-30 minutes, and eventually goes to the central UHaul number, not the actual location! If we can't get an inside, first floor unit next spring, we will not be renting from you again! We rented the year before (summer 2020) and had no problems. Our unit was an inside unit and very clean, no bugs. We were super disappointed this year!
