My trailer had a nail in the tire when I picked it up. And two days before my trip, I was told my rental could not be fulfilled at my requested location. This location change cost me two hours and 165 kms of extra travel. When I asked if I could return the trailer at my requested location, I was given a quote that was almost double in price.

No dollies available, even at first a.m. Very inconvenient. Truck was dirty, garbage on inside, spilt pop over the console. Gas tank was not full, and after returning it to 1/2 tank, fueling the recommended volume to achieve half I was charged $14. When the tank is full there is no dispute. Fill all trucks to avoid overcharging customers. The rental is already costly itself: $2700 to drive 500km within the province over three days. That's equivalent to more than three months of rent. That's inaccessible to most people and really breaks the budget.

Honestly, there is nothing that could have been inmproved my rental experience .First impressions upon arrival at rental location were positive. Store was well organized, staff were friendly, and professional. Sign in was easy, yard crew was right there to help hook up the trailer. Return of unit was extremely organized. Yard member indicated drop off spot, unhooked trailer and that was it. No need to finish paper work inside was an added bonus. Would definitely go back to this location again..

New management is reasonable, accommodating and friendly. The storage facility floors could be cleaner, as carpets are not the best option. Bathroom off storage main area hallway always lacks hand soap. The near constant, random alarms going off are a nuisance and seem pointless. No one comes to address them, there is no security personnel. Overall ourteous service from the Uhaul staff, Thank you.

They girl how was at the counter did not explain to me that I have to scam the QR when I returned the keys at 9pm, so they charge me more for that so I went there and inask her why I have extra charge and now she show me why. I called to make a reservation asked to please hold before I could say anything....was on hold for ten mins I hung up and just drove there. Had to go though the form several times before it went through. When the following day I dropped off the trailer just fine took three terminals to get my remainder returned. Said receipt would be emailed. Never received receipt. I used to work at towerline, so to see a new center like this it's kinda bad.

As a first time user, I was disappointed in the level of customer service and ease of experience. I had to ask the attendant multiple questions as he was not forthcoming with any helpful information. I walked up and down the facility looking for my truck where he said it would be but couldn’t be found- he eventually had to go look for himself. Due to the time I booked I was changed to the 24/7 service and the online system is tedious and as I didn’t go through every step, important information was mentioned after I had already dropped off the truck, resulting in additional charges. Needless to say if I require another uhaul, it will be elsewhere.

The operators should come out and review the truck with you rather then forcing the customer try to navigate your te T message and not being able to submit damage due to that issue. Customer service has a lot to be desired

Sweep the tree branch debris out of the enclosed trailer When asking a customer to back in a trailer to park it, help guide them to the spot you want them to park. A quick hand gesture training course would go a long way. The guy that told me where to park it just stood there. No communication from him.

The one way trailer we booked didn’t have running lights that worked. Manager (?) was reluctant to lend out a different trailer, but finally gave the okay. That was a good decision. I don’t recommend pushing customers to rent a trailer that isn’t safe.

The staff are amazing, they went above and beyond to start my move off right. They had issues with the computer system and instead of having me wait around until they could resolve the issue or send me to a different location on of the staff went into the office and pulled out an old school hand book of hand written contracts. She got the contract filled out pretty quick (especially considering the don't do those everyday) got the trailer hooked up and had me on my way. I have been a regular at this location since it opened and I will continue to tell a friend about it as well.

We ordered a moving cart when we placed our reservation but it was not available upon pickup. The employee said that they were hard to find. I assumed that it would be available since we placed the order well in advance. Instead, we ended up renting an appliance cart for $10 which proved inadequate and we were not able to use it at all. So we were forced to work without the cart that we needed.

Everything was excellent apart from one interaction with the staff. I went to cancel my storage after a month and she made me feel like i was a cheapskate to cancel the trial offer just within a month. She clearly judged me and treated me poorly at the cancellation time. I had a very good interaction with her a month ago as she was the only one who set up my account. No one should be treated how I was treated and it was clearly shown in her behaviour as i had a nice interaction with her while setting up but not at the cancellation time.

The only bad thing I can say is that it stinks inside the storage locker building. I hate to put it this way but it smells like a homeless shelter. I don't know if people are storing filthy clothes in their lockers or where the smell is coming from but it stinks.

So i am only a few days into renting this storage unit. so far i like the facility. looks clean. but the extras that are supposed to make me confident in keeping my stuff there have left a lot to be desired. went in to drop some stuff off tonight Jan 13 at 830ish and there were homeless all over. the place stunk. the alarm was going off like crazy and the intercom didn't seem to reach anyone. so when looking for assistance is a waste of time. the keycards mean nothing people banging at both doors only to see one of them manage to get in when I'm the only person in the building. kind of scary. the bathroom that i needed on the weekend was a mess and according to the map there's a closer set but the doors locked with no label.

I was very impressed by the representative (Christina? it was over 3 yrs ago so I'm not positive of the name) at Towerline Pl, she was so kind and very helpful, which is why I decided to go with U-haul. However that site was full and only offered outdoor options so I chose York St. Most the employees I have dealt with at York St were pleasant and helpful as well, though the staff seems to change fairly often.

Very particular about the hours allowed inside facility. Once you get in trouble for w.e reason they feel the can use against you, it turns into limited access resulting in denying access to your unit due to having a job and not being allowed past 7pm. Was forced many times to come at inconvenient times to grab/drop off things that forced a rushed, frustration experience each time. Definitely picked on certain classes of tenants at this location.

There is a washroom issue and some insects around the facility. In my above review I would add well maintained, just not clean. This is not a reflection on the employees or the company. It seems some of the renters do not have respect for the facility, others people, (or even themselves).

The exterior of this location is COVERED with people behaving in criminal activity. There is open drug use constantly and petty criminals eyeing up all of your stuff. The staff here are excellent but the property is brutal. I think you need to hire more security guards. It was very intimidating being around this much crime.

I’ve used U-Haul for years for all my moving & storage needs. They will always be my go to during any move or storage.

First of all, I had trouble understanding the move in process, and the staff member did not clearly explain how to get into the storage area. I went back to the office three times before she helped me get in by walking me through the process. The washrooms were disgusting and smelly, and there was no toilet paper. In the few weeks I used the storage unit, the washrooms were never cleaned, repaired or restocked. We also had a problem locking the door one time. The office staff wanted us to move everything out to a different unit! Luckily I asked if there was someone who could just fix it. They called for maintenance and the latch was quickly fixed after that. Your staff should be better trained to handle these problems. While I was waiting at the counter for a resolution, a customer was having a dispute with another staff member, and it was being handled very unprofessionally. It was upsetting to me. Finally, when I wanted to empty my unit, there was another lock and a tag on it saying that I hadn’t paid. This was supposed to be a “free” unit for a month! I had to call someone to come and take the extra lock off. She said that they had lost my account information! I was pleased with the storage unit, and it helped me with my move, but I would hesitate to recommend this location to anyone.

We had lots of loads going towards the storage unit that they gave us. It was already taken. This happened three times in a row. They kept giving us storage units that were taken while we were trucking around loads of material throughout the facility. We finally found one. But it took about a half an hour.

I would have liked the access hours to go to 11PM or midnight. Also, some sort of warning or announcement that the building is now closed and the outside doors will lock behind you. In which the whole bases for Our contract, Your revenue, and Our need to protect with Advanced Security protocol, insurance policy covering $5000, a nightly Security(Who can’t get in the building?!), Locks are all under Company supply…. Yet my items have not been returned to me in the same manner I left them. Thousands of dollars and efforts have been displaced. It is disappointing on top of that is having to then pay $275~ for 1 month of storage and not get the same value from the business. Staying calm is the best way to get to the heart of a issue but there needs to be the engagement level from staff that are looking to represent the customer first, the logic and care behind the interactions, and then the name of which you work for.

Due to the ongoing harassment from the manager of the site after doing everything asked of me to clean out and downsize which she quoted me on and then gave me a hard time through many emails and was ignorant throughout the process. Still has not been resolved Another employee was handling everything and seen my unit was cleaned out and put into one unit to downsize and confirmed it in person and then I was harassed again from the manager.

I ordered 3 trucks and a storage unit over the course of of 3 months. Everyone was extremely helpful and helped with anything I needed. I love the fact that you have to swipe to disarm and swipe to open the door and you have your own lock for the unit itself. I needed a smaller unit and they were very accommodating about putting my new unit on the same floor so I could move things easily enough. I will highly recommend to others!

I dealt with Tori Ellis at the storage facility. She made my day after dealing with all the poor service and being lied to by 3 U Haul facilities in and around the Saint John NB area. Tori stayed with me from check in at storage to taking care of the truck return. At least one U Haul employee showed great customer care and empathy. She is a great asset to U Haul.

U-Haul’s new York Street facility in London, Ontario was easily accessed with plenty of convenient parking. The site GM (Tory) was a great help and responded promptly to any questions which arose throughout our rental period. We would unreservedly recommend U-Haul to our family and friends.

Slight issue with a staff member inputting an incorrect number on miles travelled, resulting in an overage charge. Spoke with another staff member and after about 15 minutes we had it resolved and the charge removed.
