I brought back my rental 21 minutes after ye rental period expired and was charged for a full extra 24 hour period without any clear explanation.

Dropping off was easy as the agent physically examined the truck for damage and entered the information into the system. We feel the full process (pick up and drop off) should be completed by the agent to ensure accuracy and reduce stress for the customer.

AHMED EI had a quick and painless experience renting a truck this week! I reserved online with less than an hours notice, and the woman who helped me at the location was very helpful and professional. I returned the truck the same day and was treated very well by the gentleman who was working. Overall, this is a great place to rent your next U-haul from!
Lee CLady at uhaul said we had 54 MILES included...not true apparantly. When dropped truck off at location we were told we couldn't drop off there. I was told that I could by uhaul rental place in Chilliwack. The Aldergrove uhaul finally let us leave truck there. I find the man at thus location is extremely rude. I have dealt with him in the past and he was very rude. I had problems wirh him. I have complained in the past but nothing was done. I find that when I make a complaint nothing is ever don! Uhaul does not seem to hard about their customers. You should follow up on complaints and do something to make the customer happy.

I am surprised you even followed up for a review Booked (3 weeks before I needed it) a truck for 10am on Friday to be picked up in Abbotsford at Hazelwood St (Verified this was forsure as I have been screwed by you guys a long time ago), was texted not called 2 days before saying the truck could be picked up in Langley at 12:30 on Friday Called to sort it out and was then told there was no guarantee on the reservation and it is what it is, then they tried to accommodate by sending me to Bradner for 11:30 to pick the truck. I said what if it doesnt show up because the lady I spoke to before the Manager said it was a possible stop there. She guaranteed me it would be there, NOPE! The Bradner store was told they dropped it off in Hope and the Dispatch told me it never made it through the highway due to snow which was a load of BS as I checked the highway CAM. They tried to send me to Surrey (1 hour 30 min away) then Hope (1 hour and 40min away) and then finally they found a truck in Chillwack Picked the truck up dirty , with boxes, garbage and a dolly in it. Got the truck back to our house and the check engine light came on, called them and wouldn't you know it Uhaul just happened to be around the corner to fix it (THEY KNEW) Get to our destination 4 hours away, unload and then it took us an hour to hand in the truck because the app would work and the lady on the 1-800 number didnt want to do it over the phone. Oh and by the way all the UHAUL TRUCKS are in PENTICTON! Absolute bullshit service, costed me nothing but money and oh hey here is $50.00 off for driving all over to find a truck! NEVER EVER AGAIN and I will share my story to the world!
ROBERT BThe only thing that wasn’t great was the gas in the truck. It should be filled after every rental then if you just put a few kilometres on it then it will just take a little gas. I put 10 dollars In it and only put 10 kilometres on it so I overpaid a bit. As soon as I took the truck the gas light came on. That was a bit dissapointing. For the rest, the whole experience was good. The staff were well trained and the truck was there on time as they promised and the truck drove nice with no problems. And I am a licensed automotive technician so I can usually find something wrong with the vehicle.

Bradley GThe only problem I had was I had reserved a tow dolly for my car well in advance. When I got there they only had a car transport for me. I didn't know how to safely get my car on that, and nobody there did either. To his credit the guy drove the truck and trailer to another location (unfortunately an hour in the wrong direction for me) where someone could help me with that. They also struggled with it. By the time I left, it had taken five hours since I got to the first location. I drove from BC to Nova Scotia. I think the tow dolly would have been easier on me, but the truck was wonderful and I got comfortable with the car transport too. I just think if someone reserves something they should get what they asked for. I'm very grateful to the guy who went out of his way to drive the truck to the other place though. He deserves a raise!

Terri VThe battery went dead on the vehicle. The 4 way flashers were on for 2 hours due to my unload location. A vehicle of this size, ( 10' truck ), shouldn't have the battery go dead within 2 hours,especially after having been driven for a while before hand. Likely it had a weak battery, and that seems to be a knowable condition. This is my 2nd rental in a week, and the first,my requested size was unavailable even after being assured it would be there. Uhaul even changed my pickup location in order to guarantee my requested size. Never happened. The vehicle I did receive was filthy,inside and out. This time,the equipment failed and I had to get roadside. Not too reliable lately.
Donavan MBefore I picked up my rental, I wanted to change the duration of my rental. Which initially was eight hours. When picking up the vehicle at the rental location I asked if we could lengthen this rental. I was told they didn’t know if this vehicle was available for an extended rental time. The rep kept trying different return times, in half-hour increments. I asked for assistance with extending the tine through my order confirmation on my phone. They did not know how this confirmation worked, only that their software was different. I finally found the option in my order confirmation, but it still took several tries to find out there was no extension available. We were also concerned that if we ran late returning the vehicle, we would delay the next user… However, the rep said the store didn’t open u til 7:30 am, so no trucks could leave?!? Why is it so confusing and why can’t the reps and customers see the same info? It would be beneficial if the reps knew what the customers data looked like and perhaps functioned, as it is often a long, long wait to reach the U-HAUL call centre. Thanks!
Debra LThe truck ran well,and was adequate for the task I had to do. However, the cab floor was completely mud filled,both sides, and the box was vert dirty. It actually soiled my mattress on the edge it was standing on and that was after sweeping in the box. I have been impressed with uhaul in the past,but this was a less than satisfactory experience.

Margot HUhaul as a company is ridiculous. I didn’t get what I wanted. Then I had to run all over a different town. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND UHAUL TO ANYONE. Absolutely one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with. Hugely disappointing.

Gerard HI get a text 24 hours before my move telling me that I had a new pick-up location and it was not in my own town. The parking lot was so packed full of trucks and trailers that we struggled to get the cargo trailer out of the lot. The return location I had initally booked was no longer so we had to drive it more than an hour out of our way, each way, to return the trailer. I was overcharged by $200 and am still waiting for the adjustment and for my credit card to be refunded. All in all, our experience with you was a big disappointment but I guess you can do whatever you want when you have a monopoly on the market.

Mustang CThe uhaul app is so bad, it logged me off and when I tried to login again it kept saying it could not send the one time code and it wouldn't let me set a password for my account. I ended up going inside to finish my drop off.
Samuel DWe had a very short move planned. 3.2km total planned usage. Didn't plan on filling truck with gas. Received the truck with 21mi of fuel remaining and was asked to fill it to 1/4 tank to get a fuel credit. Put on an extra 8.4km to go to/from a gas station, put $35.59 fuel in. Truck had just under 1/4 tank when returned, so only got a $9 credit. Do not be the nice guy. It's not worth the extra cost/time. Not the fault of the nice guys running the store.
