  • MM Movers was requested to assist with loading a U-Haul 26' truck bound for Phoenix. The two person team arrived on time and were diligent throughout the loading process. Both individuals were professional and confident in their work. The loading process extended over the agreed time so an additional fee was requested and paid along with a loading cash tip upon completion. Upon unload at the destination several pieces of furniture were broken (a wooden vanity table and a wooden dining table). Both of these pieces were used as base items by the loaders with substantial weight placed on top of them. I contacted MM Movers and was told 'by contract we were just the help to load'. I have no recourse to be compensated for this furniture even though it was loaded by these individuals. The owner stated he had 10+ years of experience loading furniture yet the individuals that unloaded the truck in Phoenix made multiple comments about the loading quality. I can't recommend MM Movers.

    We send our condolences for the damage you found but we believe we are not responsible as the customers items were in a storage unit with multiple heavy furniture items on top such as heavy boxes 2 book shelves and two hardwood heavy end tables as well many other items to the ceiling. There is no way to tell if your previous movers that loaded your unit caused the damage I have the items all on video as to proof of how packed the units were. You did not request safe load protection or wrapping and packing. Via contract labor only and we are only responsible for items damaged during the loading process of which customer was there and watching the entire time and never said anything we even asked if everything was good and replied fine a couple times. Also we are not responsible for how the truck may have been driven i.e. speed, terrain, road conditions. The items at hand are the customers responsibility upon completion of ( Moving Labor Only Contract ) and no safe load protection.
